This location in Signal Hill is the closest to our home, and we have been here before. So when we had an errand to run in the area, stopped by here for carry-out, even though there was dining space available. Service was great, the food this time wasn't the greatest. It was a rainy New Years Eve, so they were running their 'Kids get free Hot Cocoa' promo, and people were taking advantage. Even with such a very small published menu, there is definitely in-n-out terminology that will help the ordering process. But if you don't know it, the cashiers have always been kind in explaining/confirming. This time was no exception. The food does take a while to be ready, since each burger is only started once the order is made. The burgers were prepared nicely for carryout in a paper box to minimize squishing, and the fries were in a separate paper bag. I got a double-double animal style, replacing the grilled onions with whole grilled onions ($6.35). In terms of the taste, the novelty has definitely been replaced by appreciation for their consistency. That being said, it wasn't a great day for toppings today...it's still whole leaves (not shredded) but there wasn't as much of it, resulting it being past wilting and getting near slimy territory (though the other burgers seemed OK). Not great. Only their spread (a thousand island like sauce, for me, tasting similar to Big Mac sauce) is available on the main menu, though one can ask for ketchup or mustard (no mayo, though). We got 3 cheeseburgers as well ($4.40 each) and the rest of our party seemed to enjoy theirs. As for the fries (2 at $2.40) each...they really need to be eaten immediately, with added salt and ketchup. It's probably the cleanest french fries one can get (just freshly cut potatoes, fried in sunflower oil), but isn't great in taste, fast food wise. They only have one size, and two servings was fine for the four of us. Having no freezers in the stores means having to use freshly hand cut fries, which sounds great, but doesn't reach the ceiling what a freshly fried Mickey D's fry can (sometimes) attain.

I was really impressed with the meat quality as well as the bread. I usually don't get anything fancy on my burger so I tried the standard cheeseburger. This is probably why most people came in with online/phone orders for pickup and got the heck out of there in a hurry. Fries are okay at best but the onion rings are fantastic! I don't recommend the smash style burger because it's smaller and doesn't come with the fixings, but if that's your thing than by all means enjoy. I got the backyard bbq burger and it was very tasty. Not the best I've ever had but it definitely hits the spot and prices are not bad at all here. If I happen to be in the area again I would definitely be down to phone in my order and pickup for takeout to enjoy the tastiness somewhere I feel a little more comfortable. Staff was also very friendly - when they could be seen at least, but it was one cashier/server with two guys in the kitchen and although it's a small hole in the wall place there is still plenty to do if you're understaffed so I'm not even mad about it. Thanks ya'll!

I listened to orders being placed as she continuously greeted customers. At one time I did hear a couple of customers order a dinner and I heard her ask if they wanted fries, salad or half of each. Their online menu does not indicate the sides available. It was at this time, 9 minutes later hung up. I tried to call back and the line was obviously busy. I placed my order online for burgers and fries and drove to pick my order up. It's not what I wanted but I knew what I was getting. When I arrived at the restaurant i asked her name. She said, Kate. I explained what happened and she indicated she forgot about the call. I told her good customer service would have been for her to come back to the phone if even to say, I hadn't forgot about you and will be with you shortly. She admitted I hadn't forgot a valid point. I ordered 2 burgers, a double cheeseburger and a bacon cheeseburger both with fries. To make matters worse the cheese was not even melted on the burger. Just a cold slice of cheese on both burgers. I had bit into the burger before realizing the cheese was cold and not melted or soft. I'm going to give Poly Burgers a rest. Today's experience was frustrating.

It's a chill neighborhood spot to grab some food to-go or eat in. The problem was when my plain bacon cheeseburger came with piles of 1000 island on it. I returned it and the cashier nicely took it to the window and told the cooks there was an error. One of the cooks argued with her and even told me I didn't order it plain. I told him exactly what I ordered. The cashier went to the back and told him to remake it, to which he finally did. The fries were crispy but no salt and adding the old bay seasoning just messed up the taste. It could have definitely used some Creole seasoning. The burger patty was not seasoned, and I don't eat condiments, so the bacon and onion was left to flavor the burger. It was still very mediocre and served with cold un-melted cheese. I would have given it a second chance if it weren't for the cook but I will not be returning.

When I eat one of these carne asada tacos, the familiarity is comforting to me. The meats have a marinated flavor that I enjoy. This is my baseline of what a carne asada taco is and I come here only for this. (I do not prefer the other meats from here). The other item I'd order is a carne asada "all meat" burrito with a side of onions/cilantro and salsas. It's an all-meat burrito and it's wonderous. The cost has gone up to $2.50 for a small taco, which is regrettable because I can eat 6 of these. If you want better tacos, then look for any place that has meat perfumed by the flavor of charcoal. (Sonoratown and Angel's Tijuana Tacos can be found less than a few miles away). The thing is this: their tacos have been feeding Angelenos for fifty years and the taste of citrusy cilantro and onion over seasoned meat, tomatillo salsa and a basic, flour, mini tortilla is nostalgic.

Love the idea of two drive through but be warn if you choose the left side, you'll definitely have to extend your arms like fantastic 4, to retrieve your food. The area is decent and the ambiance is typical, usually pretty clean. They have outdoor sitting for your convenience for a compact location. Let's dive right into the good stuff, My orders are, 1. Chicken wings ( Wednesday special) bone-in, breaded, and sauced wings. 2. The Big Buford and fries large double cheeseburger with fries The wings are absolutely amazing and crispy. With many flavors to choose from but i usually get the buffalo sauce and mild. Well cook and toss in the sauce. The burger is well prep and juicy delicious. OMG, the fries is hands down my favorite. Great job! I recommend this location due to their drive though availability. Usually clean and sanitized. Their parking lot is spacious and easy access. They have a restroom for your convenience. This place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Enjoy it here or on the go. Share your experience. P.s. Don't forget to smile cause you're beautiful. SYOY!

Price wise both are $2 a wing normally so GeeKo lost on the special Wednesday price. 2. Size of the wings, GeeKo won hands down here although more batter on them makes them seem bigger than they are. Both sets of wings were meaty. 3. Portions, Rally's does a 5 and 10 piece, GeeKo does 8 minimum so if you aren't sharing or hungry enough Rally may be a better choice. 4. Flavor of their BBQ sauces were similar Rally more smoky and GeeKo more tangy. 5. Both were cooked perfectly 6. If you like your wings extra saucy then GeeKo is your go to, I prefer dry rubs and lighter sauce levels so for me Rally won that race. All in all a surprisingly close race, Rally wins for me on price, portion and sauce level! I figured no way Rallys wings would even compare to GeeKo.
