I wanted to get an iced tea since it was hot out, but I didn't see that on the menu. I may have missed it and didn't ask though. My wife ordered a coffee drink. She said it was very strong. I could tell since she was bouncing around the house for the next few hours driving me nuts lol. The pastries were fresh and flavorful. They are the real reason for the visit and it did not disappoint. The tart was crisp and flavorful. The puff had some rice in it. It was okay. I didn't really get any mango though. I do plan on coming back to try other offerings. That freshly baked bread was so nice and warm I really need to plan a meal around it. The full service restaurant looked fine, but the ambiance wasn't very cozy. I would probably order it to go and have it at a nearby park or something.

My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning.
