Sugar it's the donuts and ice cream Bird are the fried chicken Both yum The brined fried chicken strips are delicious The fries are real good too The glazed donut we had was ok its was a cake type donut Ice cream is soft serve the have different flavors like chocolate vanilla coconut on a visit I would say it's the fried chicken that stands out Parking on game event days is going to be a situation you can't park 3 hours before of after events Go a different day Big screen area right next door on one yoga was taking place On a different visit, they were watching the Penguins game It's a great place to sit and relax and have some snacks

We stopped here the first time before a Pirates game. We were going to grab a beer, but we were pretty disappointed that they had zero local beers, so it didn't seem worth it. The place overall has a cool vibe. Some nice seating areas, a screen for sports viewing, and cornhole. We did get ice cream after the game, but sadly they were out of the special flavors I wanted to try. $5 for a small cone wasn't bad overall. I'd like to try it again for the food.

Multi-day review. Food allergy: Nuts Food & Drink: - Mixed Drink(s): 2 / 5 To keep it short & simple, just order The Peachy Bird and thank me later. Everything else was a disappointment. "Order 2. Don't forget the tax. IYKYK" - Me Disclaimer: Whatever you do don't mix The Peachy Bird and the Mango Nest. You will only be severely disappointed and have less Peachy Bird to drink. - Food: 3.5 / 5 "Drinks are overpriced" - John 3:16 "Mac 'N' Cheese is alright" - My favorite distraction Entrée - What is the secret to making good fried chicken? Is it the breading? Is it the secret KFC recipe? Is it love or is it just MSG? Honestly, who cares, but the fried chicken at SugarBird is definitely the star. However, if you are craving a donut, head down to your local Walmart and grab a dozen of whatever they have at their bakery section and you'd probably enjoy it more than what is served here. They just feel a bit cheap. Lastly, the seasoning on the fries gets overwhelming in the combo, but ordered separately they're pretty good. "Chicken crunches like the plastic you rip off of a sealed container" - Joker Dessert - The worst fear any soft serve enthusiast has is the fear of the dreaded broken sign, but fear not. SugarBird currently doesn't have this issue, so luckily you get to enjoy all the unique sundaes they have to offer. Fair warning, avoid the Mango Toasted Coconut sundae as this abomination should be banned from ever being made. "Vanilla wafer cone is really good. Very creamy" - Swiper - Service: 5 / 5 Short on time? Looking for a quick bite? This is where SugarBird takes lead compared to other establishments in the area. With the assistance of technology, they are able to efficiently serve each customer with a short turnover time. - Vibe: 3.5 / 5 Quick and Casual is the vibe. If Chick-fil-A and Sonic had a baby this is the result. - Overall: 3.5 / 5 To be honest, this place has potential. There is a stage for live music and cornhole for those who drink only light beer. I'm interested to see if they actually do anything with that part. If you plan to wander the city for a day, without a thought in your mind, I recommend this place to stop in and grab a quick bite. Recommend? Yes

Came here after a Pirates game...not hungry, but hubby had a few drinks and we got to play corn hold while watching the Pirates' single A affiliate, the Bradenton Marauders. High top tables, spacious open area, or eat/drink at their bar. A lovely evening!

Stopped for a quick lunch today, loved the outside seating area, today was a perfect day to be outdoors!!! The tenders we ordered were so crispy and delicious, loved how nice our waiter was and to end the meal got a delicious treat! I do recommend and I will definitely come back!!

We had heard good things about SugarBird. While we were walking around the Northside, we decided to try it. We wanted a snack so we decided to try the donuts. My husband wasnt huge on his chocolate frosting. He thought it tasted a bit stale and the donut was too dense. I had the strawberry frosting and I thought it was moist and tasty. I would like to try the fried chicken sometime. The outdoor space was nice.

We stopped by yesterday evening and this was my first time. My friend split a sundae and the bird and sugar combo which is the perfect amount of food. The cost after splitting both items was very reasonable. You order food, ice cream, beer, and cocktails at different windows and counters which was a little confusing. We ordered our food via a screen at a kiosk and it was ready in no time. There is a good amount of seating at high tops that are covered but still open air. We really enjoyed our food. The tenders had a breading that must have had cornbread in it and that made it different from other tenders I've had before. The fries were a little bland but still crispy. The donut was dense and the sundae was pretty good.

Very good, new eating establishment outside of PNC Park. The fun mix of chicken fingers and donuts is their gimmick, but both are great! Also, the sauces are a big plus! Definitely worth visting!

    Chicken Sandwich and Donuts

The food here really surprised me. The chicken sandwich was made with two tenders as opposed to a breast but the chicken itself was really good and super crispy which I loved. The donuts were okay. The sandwiches were the stars for me. The service was good. They were super busy and just trying to get things out as quickly as possible. It's a good spot to watch a game or pregame a pirates game since it it right next to the stadium. It is outdoor seating.

Had such a great time seeing Steve Aoki at the plaza in north shore that's attached to sugarbird. We grabbed some food before leaving and honestly I did really enjoy it. Love the bucket concept. Will be back and looking forward to more shows and chicken this summer!

Rating Sugarbird experience as a 3.5 Star Experience. Food: chicken tenders were 5.0 amazing! They must brine the chicken so they're juicy and tender like Chick Fil A's, except they're chunkier and crispier than Chick Fil A's. The Mac and cheese is below average. The elbow macaroni was cooked well but the sauce and flavor wasn't my jam. Softserve ice cream was okay--super generous with toppings and I was a bit overwhelmed. Service was good. Relatively attentive. Location is good for ball games and concerts for sure. Don't love there's no truly indoor seating. They have shades/curtains that they use to help with elements.

New to the city sugar bird is perfect for the whole family. I mean Who doesn't love chicken, ice cream,donuts...Booze&Brews! The chicken pairs perfectly with their house made RANCH!!! They offer a bunch of other sauces as well .the fries were good and crispy. & No shade to the Mac but it was lacking flavor. But THE DRINKS....( mango margarita chilled or frozen 10/10) The vibes are Great, the area is convenient and local. If you're going to a baseball game & want to grab a bite before heading to your seats sugar bird is perfect for a Quick bite and good vibes on the go. customer service is amazing and friendly they're very attentive to everyone!! Next time you're on the Northshore make sure you check them out.

Fun concept and unique take on the traditional chicken and waffles. Located in the North End by PNC Park. Reasonable prices. Lots of different options and ways to order a little of everything! They also have soft serve! Parking is a little tricky. There is a covered space outside with heaters for when it's cold. Service was quick and efficient. Staff were friendly and helpful. Donuts were from Duck Donuts.

They have two lanes, but when I was there only one was open (so there was a slight wait). You could actually clearly hear and understand the person through the speaker which doesn't always happen. The menu is fairly limited (you can basically only get chicken tenders or a chicken sandwich) so the only choice is how many fingers and if you want a combo or things individually. I chose a three piece box which comes with a piece of bread, the tenders, crinkle fries and a sauce. We decided to go inside because this location had the worst parking lot and drive through I've ever experienced. There isn't a lot of room to ride around and get the proper format of getting through. It's designed kind of off. So you have to be careful of you end up back on the road and having to drive further away to come back on the right side. It's easier to park and walk inside. Anyway ... the ambiance was nice. Everyone was friendly and efficient. We selected the box meal which consisted of 4 fingers and fries along with a drink. I'm not the biggest chicken finger fan. These were good but nothing exceptional. The sauce makes the meal. The sauce is really the star of the show. It's a chipotle, old bay type flavor that has an awesome taste. We were headed back on the road, so it served as a great meal to be on the go. The restaurant was very clean and all the items you needed were on the counter and fully stocked.

But I was prepared for it with extra napkins. The ordering process was via kicks. I should've known that it would take some effort when the woman in front let me go ahead since she said she didn't want to slow down the line. It's not an intuitive process. And no one stationed at the front counter to help. Took a while to figure out how to get fries without it being automatically combined with the drink. Nice touch to get people to pay more! Finally found the fries separately! Definitely not an easy process. They will text you when the order is ready. Nice! Bathroom was really dirty but at least my order was ready earlier than expected! Came here for the sandwich and it was painfully dry without much taste although the honey added some sweetness. Unlike Chick-fil-A where the sandwich can stand on its own, and the sauce just enhances it, there's no way I could eat this sandwich without some accompaniment. So dry. The fries were pretty soggy where I like a certain crunch. Reminiscent of 5 guys fries but much less portioned and much thinner. Good taste but nothing crave-able and very greasy. Service was nonexistent which is why I didn't leave a tip on the kiosk screen. Why do restaurants do this anyway?!? Why do I tip for service I haven't received?!? Finally, how can they possibly charge!$11 for their sandwiches. The regular sandwich starts at $11 as was my hot honey which really wasn't all that hot anyway. That's more than twice the cost of a Chick-fil-A! Next time I'm going to get both a spicy and regular Chick-fil-A and still have money leftover. Maybe I'll get their waffle fries too. Asked for some direction, was basically told "no." They specialize in hot chicken and customization - but it feels like they are clearly missing a refreshing option beyond the Dill Pickle.
