We went here tonight because it was too hot to bbq at home and glad we did. I had the double meat plate, turkey and brisket and they were both delicious and tender. I had the broccoli salad and potato salad and both were awesome. You have to try the fried pickles and the dipping sauce, awesome! The owner came up to the table and asked how everybody's food was and of course we told him how good the bbq was! He even gave us a sample of some of there desserts and they were delicious! This is the best BBQ in the STL area. Staff is friendly, brisket is unreal, sides are always good, pie shakes are life-changing, the chicken biscuit is criminally underrated, and the daily specials are always great. So happy to have them in O'fallon. read more

I was really excited about this place and have been there several times but have been underwhelmed every time. Maybe I am expecting too much or that just don't like bbq to be so sweet. Best BBQ I have ever had. I have been lucky to eat BBQ across the country and Sugar fire is the best Brisket and Ribs I have ever had. There are a few other very good BBQ places in STL but Sugarfire is my go to. The seating inside is a pain if you have a kid under 4 because all the chairs are bar height. The outside seating that has been closed in should solve that unless it is very cold out. They do a good job with take out as well. My wife loves the salmon. Absolutely amazing ribs! Try them with all the sauces, one is better than the next. And the potato salad is just perfect. Plus these are the friendliest guys I have ever met and just a fun bunch. This place is all the hype PLUS more. It's unique it's got great food and super friendly atmosphere. Do not be fooled....just because they don't have plates does not mean they can't serve outrageously good food. It's a bit above average on price, but for the amount you get and mouth watering taste it has I'm surprised they don't charge more. If you like meat you will fall in love with this place. My daughter won't touch half the meat I make unless they are chicken nuggets and every Saturday she begs me to take her to the "meat place" so it's a hit for kids and adults alike! read more

Everything about this place is great. The only bad thing is when they're out of your favorite side for the day because they're so busy. Even the burgers are the best I've had around, the brisket is juicy, and the STL Sweet and White BBQ are some of my favorite sauces in St. Louis. I've only eaten carryout from Sugarfire, so I really can't comment on the atmosphere of the restaurant. However, the food is amazing. I'm typically leary of St. Louis barbecue but the food here is fantastic. The brisket is always tender and the pulled pork is phenomenal. The only downside are the sides. There are not a lot of side options and the options they do have are average at best. read more

Great bbq with quick and friendly service. Their prices are more expensive than I'd like to pay but the food is good and the portions are generous. They have a wide variety of sauces to try, I've yet to try one I don't like. I love the variety of specialty sodas in their soda fountain. We are considered regulars at Sugar Fire Smokehouse because we literally come into Sugar Fire two to four times week. Sugar Fire has some of the best eats in town. May favorite meal must be the double burger with fries, and I've had it so many times that they would put the burger meat on the grill when I walk inside the building. The people there are very friendly people, and the food is very good. I wish I could give this place six stars. read more

The food was good, like how they served it! I wish the place had lower tables to make it more friendly to bring in babies in carseats. Also when waiting to order, it's a little difficult to see the menu. You have to be at the counter to place your order, in order to sse the menu. I almost was skipped over to order because I had to stand back to see the menu at the order counter. So, my only issues with the place are design flaws. Otherwise food and service was good and would go back. Just have to grab a hand menu or look online before I go to make ordering easier. read more

I love the meat here, it's top of the line especially if you get there at lunch. We always order the Meat Daddy and split it. We have two very young children so dining in is rarely an option, so we often call our order in. The food is delicious. Meat is cooked low and slow and is crave-able, sides are very unique, pies are so good, has home made soda to take you back to the good ol' days, and the people from who is cutting your meat to the cashier are so great. It could be the daily specials change all the time, and the arrangement of sides are spectacular to say the least, or the crack pie must indeed be filled with crack or some equally addictive substance. The brisket is my favorite and I like that they take requests for lean cuts when ordering. The bbq is out of this world, but the side dishes are lacking. Stay away from the fries, definitely not worth the wait. Jalapeño beans are nice, so are a few of the salads, just wish flavors were more consistent. If going for dessert...the sugar pie (gooey cake) is the go to here. I prefer take out, because nothing goes with bbq like an iced glass of Coke. Have not been able to try the cuisine. When we called at 8:00pm for delivery, we were told that they stopped delivery at 7:30pm since they closed at 10pm. It's Saturday night and we were trying to order 2 hours before closing. May I recommend posting your delivery times, and the minimum time BEFORE your closing time needed for a delivery. I have been at this location twice and both times I got the same experience. The food is good, smoked meat with several different sides to choose from. I took my family (wife, myself and my son) and the price was $50. I'm not sure the food is worth that. Both times i have gone, the employees seem like jerks. Best BBQ I've had in a long time! It's a little odd how they have it set up cafeteria style however that actually sped the entire process up significantly. Cornbread is a little dry but their sauces are delicious! I wasn't super impressed by their fries even though they say they are amazing but the brisket and ribs are by far some of the best. Ok this is my second review for this great place. I've been here now 6 times in just 2 weeks. I am a fan of the turkey sandwich with the white BBQ sauce. However, the other day I discovered the cheesy tater tot casserole. It was amazing. When I asked today, I found out it's hit or miss. So, if you're there and you see it, I highly recommend it. I have a full-time job, but I've considered working here on the side because it is just that good and looks fun. read more
