We went to Sumo Dog on a Wednesday, when they were featuring all of their hotdogs for $4.99. We tried three and they were all delicious. We had the beef hotdogs, though there were two other choices. We'll be back!

Quick bite to eat at sumo dog. It was ways to find at the packing district. The dog was made super quirky and tasted great. The staff was nice and there were plenty of tables nearby to sit at and eat. They also have special deals each day of the week. The Godzilla dog seemed huge and I shared it. Overall a convenient location, places to sit, and overall cool atmosphere.

First time here and I'll def be back! Sundays they have a special one burrito/sandwich with a soda and a plain side for $11! Food was absolutely delicious and made fresh to order. Service was super nice and made sure to ask if we needed anything else. There's plenty of seating inside and out of the packing house. We lucked out and got a table right near the restaurant. Can't wait to try more items!

Great casual spot inside the Food Hall serving up traditional favorites like hot dogs and chopped cheese with a Japanese style twist of furnace and spicy mayo. I dogged down a Godzilla dog which was tasty and super filling. Got a side of sushi rice tots which is a perfect bite for those who love crispy rice like me.

The Miso Katsu w/ Vegan Dog was soooo delicious. Glad I chose this spot out of so many options in Anaheim Packing House. Service was friendly and fast. The ambiance in the Packing House District is worth experiencing even if you're driving from far away like we did about 1 hr drive from Riverside. 100% would order from here again. Miso Katsu w/ Vegan Dog: 4.5/5

Interesting concept. Sumo Dog is inside the Anaheim Packing District food court. It's a Japanese-inspired hot dog/fries/tots eatery. What intrigued me was their sushi rice tots. We all have had tater tots before, but sushi rice tots? I got to try it. I ordered that sumo style, which adds chili, sauce and some cheese over it. Highly recommend it! The tots came out nice and crispy and the insides is softer than a regular tater tot. It's almost like eating the rice of crispy tuna roll! Service is great. I had questions about the sushi rice tots and what sumo style meant etc and they took their time to explain them to me.

Sumo dog is a nice place in Anaheim packing District with a variety of specialty hots. This one's got seaweed and other toppings that has a great flavor. Worth the price! Not too bad for food in Anaheim.

$14 for a dog ?! Worth it ?! Idkkkkk but it was damn good. Only tried the bacon wrapped bahn mi with a beef frank. The sauce is fire !!! The bun so soft!! They have beef pork or vegan dogs to choose from. And have all kinds of other interesting dogs. Might want to try the chili cheese next time. I was a lil sad when my order came out cause of how small it was. The flavor made up for the size I guess ..... ;)

Grand opening!

We stopped by the Anaheim Packing district and accidentally attended the grand opening of Sumo Dog. I was seriously impressed. I had the Banh Mi Dog and my sister had the Chicago Dog--both were fantastic. The Banh Mi Dog was bursting with bold, tangy flavors and a nice kick, while the Chicago Dog nailed the classic taste with a fun twist. Super fresh and flavorful. The sushi rice tots were another standout, crispy on the outside, soft and sticky inside, and seriously addictive. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, which made the whole experience even better. You could feel the excitement and pride they had in launching the place. If this is day one, I'm excited to see what's next. Great food, great energy--I'll definitely be back. Edit to add- they have vegan options as well although I didn't try them.

First time here I miss the old thai place that was here but life goes on. I ordered the Godzilla footlong buy one get one for a dollar special. Heck of a deal. 16 dollars total. Really good only thing I recommend is the bread should be toasted or better quality because those toppings made the bread mushy. Otherwise its was good!!!

Individual owned by Jeffrey. 14th location, first one in OC. Other locations include Indio area and 3 in NYC. Small menu but enough to choose from.

Was craving hot dogs and heard a new hot dog place opened in August in the Anaheim packing district..decided to stop by and check out. Sounded interesting and different from the usual hot dog places. Especially named Sumo Dog. Menu was not just dogs but hamburgers too done the Sumo way..Japanese styles. I decided to try the standard chili cheese dog and the miso dog.. the chili cheese had some kick to it and the miso dog was fried and breaded. Cut in half and covered with miso mustard scallions and over toppings. Kind of over powered the dog. I liked the katsu style Sumo did. Tator tots were fresh and dipped in miso mustard..yum..will have to try the hamburgers next..

Sushi rice tots, katsu dog, and Godzilla dog

Alright where do I start? Because I keep going back over and over and I'm close to trying their entire menu! Wow- it's that good!!! So far I've enjoyed everything but my favorites are the banh mi burger and hotdog, katsu dog, and the Godzilla dog! Their melted cheese is sooo good so anything that has it is awesome. The side of tots or the side of sushi rice tots are delish! Can't say enough good things about the food here. Staff is friendly and takes the time to explain the menu if you have questions. Prices are reasonable considering the taste, uniqueness, and quality you receive. Now I'd like to see catering options because I would hire them for events that I host! Like a cute hotdog cart that rolls up to parties would be so fun!!

National Sandwich Day…read more Free Regular Sandwich with $1+ for Rewards members One time use, six days to redeem Been many moons since I've visited Portillo's. Seeing their National Sandwich Day promo email, I had the perfect impetus to make my triumphant return. Combo Beef & Char Grilled Italian Sausage Sandwich- A flavorful hybrid of an Italian sandwich & hot dog, the Combo was filling & satisfying. Originally wanted the $1+ purchase to be gardiniera or au jus, I was told they were already included. Next best option - cheese sauce! The cheese sauce kicked up an already pleasing sandwich, and I relished each bite. Service was great. The young woman behind the register was friendly & hospitable. Plenty of seating inside, and especially outside in their patio facing La Palma Ave. Parking is at Buena Park Downtown mall, which is a barren apocalyptic nightmare. It's across the street from Knott's Berry Farm. You'd think the mall would attract visitors? Portillo's provided a great perk for their Rewards members in honor of National Sandwich Day. Spreading the amount of time to redeem the offer from one day to six days, allowed more people the ability to take advantage of the free regular sandwich. I'll be back for more Chicago-style eats!

I believe it's a little truck in the food area and I am not sure if there's seating around, but I think not since it's giving a street dog vibe. My order was made so fast! I got the typical LA dog, which was wrapped in bacon and had grilled onions and bell peppers on top. I can't believe this was my first street dog EVER and that's when I realized what I was missing out all the time after concerts... It was SOOO good!!! I'm so glad I was feeling gluttonous and got an extra large glizzy because I ended up gobbling up the whole thing. This was exactly what I needed honestly. Yay hot dogs! The only minor thing that I didn't love is that I ordered "homemade chips" and they just gave me a small bag of Lays for $2.50. I didn't love that I payed that much for probably a 50 cent worth bag when I expected some nice homemade ones so they should definitely change that on the orders.

It was among the best hot dogs I've ever had. I loved the rich bbq sauce and the perfectly grilled onions. The bun was fresh and the dog itself was great quality with excellent "snap". I'm a bit spazzy when it comes to eating and walking so wanted to sit for a moment to eat. The Outlets are notorious for having no outdoor seating so I just found a chair at one of the fast food places. It doesn't take long to eat a weenie so I was done before I could be chased away.

A nice gentleman told me he makes the best hotdogs around. I ignored two huge red flags: no people in line for these special dogs and the $19.00 price tag for a hotdog. I took the bait and ordered one. My only way to describe what I paid twenty hard earned dollars for is garbage. Cold bun, a lukewarm over cooked hotdog, wrapped in bacon, smoked to a crisp, stuffed with fries, cheese and sour cream. The hotdog was drier than a piece of beef jerky. Oh yeah, it was covered with dried out Korean beef on top. Again, dry and lukewarm. Tasteless. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

And one of the ways you do that is to buy yourself a smoked dog topped with gobs of pulled pork, onion shreds, and a deep-fried pickle on top. Then you squirt some tangy aioli atop the whole deal. The service was excellent as the guys kept making some great suggestions that didn't have the air of the same 'ole inane chitchat. Plus, when you throw in some free bacon mac how could I think the folks working here are anything but stellar? All in all, this is a great hidden nook if you're in the mood for some great dogs with a decidedly Southern twist.
