Good Chinese Food and a wide menu, many choices. The soup selection is good also. Can get crowded but the service is good and friendly, . Good for carry out. Parking is limited but we always find a spot. Again the staff are very friendly and good at their jobs. read more

We came here on a whim around 7PM on a weekend. We were feeling something quick and cheap. We usually don't like getting Chinese take-out (on account of being Chinese and eating a lot of food at home), but we all have a soft spot for small mom and pop's and decided to come here. What was once a nice little hole in the wall has become blocked off in the age of COVID. You can walk in to the entrance way where the rest of the restaurant is blocked off with plastic barriers. This is the new norm, and it's nice to see the mom and pops adapting. We were greeted by a little Chinese woman. She was kind but straight to the point. She told us 15 minutes but the wait became 45 minutes... they were immediately swamped with people after we had just ordered. TIP for future reference, you should definitely just call to order, and give them a little extra time! We ordered the combination dinner plates and a side of the hot and sour soup. The portion of the plates were huge (we actually didn't finish anything!). The food was what you expect with Chinese take-out and I have no complaints. I got beef and broccoli with fried rice. It came with an egg roll (not bad) and fried shrimp (nice touch but very OK). The star of the show was the hot and sour soup - which really surprised me! That reminds me this place was a restaurant that adapted to this take-out only style. The flavor was there. It wasn't watery and the hints of both hot and sour at the same time really made up for the 45 min wait. Add a little bit of white pepper and it would have been perfection. I'd come again, on account of supporting small local business, and for their amazing hot and sour soup. Do not deprive yourself of that experience (just be sure to order ahead of time!). read more

I'm disappointed with the reviews since they rave good things. First-hand the host isn't even customer friendly. Second the foods has no flavor, panda has better flavor. I went here Wednesday evening and had shrimp with snow peas, white rice and tea. I have had the taste of jasmine tea in my mouth for the last 4 days. Sun Moon Garden was recommended by a family member. I've thought a lot about this review so here are the hard facts. Pros: fast service, fast delivery. Reasonable prices. Cons: heavy handed with the sodium. Like VERY SALTY, hard to enjoy fully. And the container that my food came in was soggy. How do i explain it ? I didn't want to put anyone off from ordering from this establishment but my beef and broccoli must've been so hot it was melting the styrofoam From the inside out, not to mention the sauce poured out all over the bag it came in. So really Poor packaging that may or may have not leaked onto my food. Which i may or may not have eaten. I guess it goes without saying you get what you pay for. read more

Man been here twice already, one recently and the other time 2 years ago. Still consistently tasty! Burbank doesn't have much of a chinese population so you'll see alot of non-asians so don't be fooled that its bad... its pretty canto good food to me. Pretty good price and portions. I can see how its a favorite to locals here. This place does get packed sometimes on weekends. Parking is in front but also difficult to find if its all taken. Soup! read more

This is one of my hubby's favorite Chinese food place. We live in NoHo but we drive here just to get their combo fried rice and garlic beef/chicken mushroom. I'm so disappointed. This place was always a favorite of ours, but the last couple of times we've ordered it's been awful. Tonight's was especially terrible. The pot stickers tasted stale and old, the orange chicken was rubbery, the chow mein was dry and flavorless. Everything just tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. Nothing was hot except for the soup. It's safe to say we will not be ordering from here again, which is such a bummer as I have been eating here since I was a kid! Ok so I was initially impressed with the reviews of the restaurant and especially the reviews of the orange chicken where most places have trouble making a average product. The first item I tried was the orange chicken, I was extremely disappointed, it was nothing like what the positive reviews said... they were dry and literally all crust. The cheese wontons had no cheese whatsoever on them. I basically paid for a few pieces of dry tatsteless wontons. The broccoli and beef was actually good, like a 7/10. I also got fried rice and egg rolls which were at best average. If you have a choice between panda express and here... I would choose panda Express... it hurts me recommending a chain over ma, and pa, but I dont want people to have the experience I had. read more

I saw a review saying their chicken was flavorless and just covered with sauce and I understand what they meant by that. I overall enjoyed my meal though. Passed by many a time because you think it's just another Chinese food place but it's not! It's so traditional and food is good. I love the egg drop soup and the simple dinner combo choices. It beats going to a fast food restaurant because you actually get the jasmine tea if you dine in. It's really what Chinese restaurants traditionally were like friendly and good. I love this place! I went there last night, right before they closed, I was definitely the last customer of the night. I ordered an orange chicken dinner combo and a shrimp chow mein dinner combo for my boyfriend and I. The lady asked me if I wanted steamed rice and I told her that I wanted fried rice. She went to the kitchen to check if they had more and she told me that they only had enough for one. I said that I was fine with one steamed rice and one fried rice. You guys... She came back out with order after a couple minutes and told me she made more fried rice just for me. I've never felt more loved in my life. I was so thankful. The food was also amazing! Super flavorful, each item had its own distinct taste, I wanted to finish it all last night but I'm also pretty happy that I still have enough for a meal today. Same goes for my boyfriend and he eats so much all the time! The prices also shocked me, only $10 for the huge amount that I got? I was expecting it to be bad when I saw how inexpensive it was, but I was extremely pleased that that wasn't the case. If you're thinking of going here, I would definitely recommend it! Went on a July 4th Monday during lunchtime and it was really great! Portions were pretty big for the Lunch Special (11am - 3pm) prices, food was delicious, place was nice and empty, bathroom was pretty clean, and service was extremely quick. We ordered Orange Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp, BBQ Pork Chow Mein, and Crackerjack Shrimp. The Lunch Specials (Orange Chicken and BBQ Pork Chow Mein) also came with Fried Rice, an Egg Roll, and Egg Drop Soup. Loved the Egg Drop Soup! Would highly recommend! I would normally give this place a thumbs up. The food is good and the portions are generous. But I have to give people a warning. Double check your order. I has a take out order and ordered fried cheese wontons based on a flyer they had up on the wall. They game me fried cheese and crab wontons. I am very allergic to crab. Luckily I checked it before I put it in my mouth. I called the restaurant to warn them to be careful because of people with allergies. They swore up and down that they only have cheese and crab wontons. That's not what the flyer said. It said it large letters "cheese wontons". They didn't even offer a refund. My uncle became friends with the owner and staff from coming by so often. He brought my husband, my son and I along with him one time and we've been regulars ever since. The owner is a very nice man, who always remembers us and greets us happily. He almost remembers what we order each time. We love the firecracker shrimp, house chow mien, sweet & sour pork, fried rice, kung pao chicken, honey walnut shrimp, steamed fish, etc. All their dishes are great! And we live in WALNUT. This spot aint that bad. It quenches the thirst for the ones that crave chinese food. Yes, it's not the most authentic recipes, but beggars can't be chooser. The mongolian beef is one of my favorites. They serve it fairly quickly, it's delicious, and takes away my hunger. Inside is very welcoming as well. It's a nice family restaurant setting, the people there are really nice as well. They try their best to accommodate the needs of their beloved customer. As many of their Yelp reviews mentioned, their food was terrific, flavorful, plentiful and reasonably priced. Additionally, i ordered deliverary, which was an easy phone call, and the food arrived piping hot in about 30-mins. Very Americanized, so if that's what you're looking for, they're great! Pretty thick breading. The orange chicken sauce is very sweet & delicious. They made us a salt & pepper pork chop dish that was a little bland. Service was excellent! They took great care of us even later at night as their last guests in the restaurant. A smaller shop that puts out good fresh food. It seems to be run by 2 or 3 people, but there is only 1 person taking orders and serving which makes it a bit hard for service.
