This has become my go-to spot for lunch, and for good reason. I've shared so many great meals here with both family and friends, and it never disappoints. Lunch is always busy which says everything about how good the food is but service stays quick and friendly even when it's packed. The portions are incredibly generous, and every dish I've tried has been absolutely divine fresh, flavorful, and consistently satisfying. It's the kind of place you crave after your first visit. Dinner has a relaxed, casual ambiance that makes it easy to unwind, but lunch is where this place truly shines with its lively energy and amazing food. Highly recommend if you're looking for a reliable, delicious Chinese restaurant you'll want to keep coming back to.

If you're looking for good authentic Chinese food and don't want to drive all the way to Chinatown, then you should check this place out. Finding this place was a happy accident and I'm so glad we did! Super cozy place with a casual vibe which was perfect. We ordered a small cup of hot and sour soup and it was really good and perfect for a cool night. Then we shared an entree (happy family) with steamed rice and it was so flavorful and filling. Loved everything about this place and will definitely be back. They also have a private parking lot which is always a plus! Happy eating!

Receipt, prices are great FOR the amount of food you receive.

OVER PRICED OVER RATED! Portion size and value has decreased as the price for less per entre has increased. Here is a previous picture of what the bowl used to look like. So sad as the customer service is dog food and I tolerated the rude staff for the great food. Not any more; higher prices, with smaller portions simply not a good value for the money

Eggs rolls (crunchy and fresh) the sweet and sour sauce was perfection

They took my order over the phone and were very professional and polite. When I picked up the food the place was welcoming as always. This time I tried the mangolean beef and it was delicious flavorful beef. We also tried sesame seed chicken and it also didn't disappoint! They took my order over the phone and were very professional and polite. When I picked up the food the place was welcoming as always.

When you want hot and fresh Chinese food quick, this is your place! The staff is really nice and the food is delicious. You won't find food sitting under a warmer. All the food is made to order so you won't go wrong with Frontier Wok Too! They always have great music and the restaurant has a great vibe. It's super casual and everyone is friendly and very attentive. Please be kind and tip you server! ! We love visiting Frontier Wok Too! You won't be disappointed here! There's nothing like hearing the roar of the fire under the wok and your order will be out in a few minutes! Their tickets times are incredible. After we walked in around 6 pm, they started getting really busy and food was coming out quicker than you can order it. That's what I love about this place - hot food fast!

Recent order, I was given a beef dish that I did not order. Was not given chicken dish ordered. Typically-,I'd just eat a wrong order but I do not eat beef. Employee wouldn't do anything for me. Just wanted a refund on the one dish I did not get. Told management was out of town. So too bad.

This is a good spot to eat. There aren't so many good Asian restaurants in Burbank but this one is pretty good. This place has one waitress and she does a good job handling all the customers. The restaurant is clean and has lots of space. Great place for a quick bite to eat.

Nothing says more than the following. We opened up with the Goldrush. It has a variety of appetizers on it. I had a veggie egg roll which was all cabbage. A fried shrimp, that's it. My friend had a few of the items took the rest home. It comes with three sauces on the side. One was your typical sweet and sour. Another was "Guess, because we couldn't figure it out," and the third was like a soy sauce with wasabi. That was the best. It was so good I used it for the pan noodles dish. Portion size is massive. Only Jabba the Hut could finish this off. I should note that the appetizers thing comes with soup - hot and sour or veggie soup. My friend went hot and sour. I declined either option. Pan Fried Noodles - Dud. I mean lots of good veggies - broccoli, snow pea pods, onions and maybe something else. White chicken meat shrimp and normally beef, but I switched it to fried Tofu. The sauce was flavorless. I mean there is a sauce but unless my taste buds were on vacation, no flavor. Hence the Wasabi sauce. I recommend it. Tim went with the orange chicken. That is a huge win. White chicken meat, nice orange glaze, not heavy batter, light in fact and not greasy. We went also fried rice. Zero flacor profile. Use the wasabi sauce. Has a parking lot on the side, service is fast and people are friendly.

Food is good and comes in big portions. The servers are quick, the only problem might be parking if it's really busy.

Is it waiter or order then sit down?

Yes, if you are eating in sit down the waiter will come take your order. If you are taking out, order at the counter. Hope that helps. THE FOOD IS GREAT…

    What happened to the noodles?

Without a specific context, an answer to this question would be difficult. This place was a favorite of ours, but things went downhill after the re-opening. Small white rice used to be included in the price of entrees, then they started to charge…

I can't wait to finally eat here again! I moved to LB, but still commute twice a week to Burbank so I'm looking forward to ordering lunch next week! Has anyone eaten here since they open on Friday? I'm hoping everything is the same!

Same owner same crew same good food

Its past July, August and now September when are they reopening?

Today! Nov. 8! They are open now! (I know what I'm having for dinner tonight!)

    When are you re-opening?!!?

When are they opening its past July and August

I know they had two locations before so is that one still open?

Only one location open is on Olive Ave But they are still in the process to restoration because of fire happen on April…

    When do they reopen?

    Having lunch here today🎉

Why does the listing say dim sum? I don't see any in the pictures.

Probably because they can't take pictures of every single thing. It's on the menu

So satisfying! * Bamboo Shoots in Chili Oil: The ultimate refreshing summer dish! A mild kick of spice ignites your tastebuds, leaving a subtle lingering sweetness at the end~ * Rattan Pepper Fish: The fish is incredibly tender and fresh. The bold rattan pepper takes over your entire palate, giving your tongue a dancing, tingling sensation while staying light and non-greasy! * Stir-Fried Angus Ribeye with Scallions: Ribeye sliced to the perfect thickness, high-heat flash-fried to lock in the juices. Tender yet satisfyingly chewy with a rich scallion aroma--the ultimate rice pairing! * Chili Oil Wontons (Chao Shou): Thin wrapper, generous filling, smooth on the tongue with zero powdery texture. The chili oil aroma really shines--first sweet and savory, then the spiciness gradually creeps in. The layers of flavor are off the charts~ * Sichuan Impression Cold Noodles: Chewy noodles with a flavor profile of spicy, savory, slightly sweet, and tangy--perfectly balanced to hit all the right notes! * Lychee Sparkling Water: Packed with rich lychee flavor and real fruit pulp--super refreshing and the ultimate spice-quencher! * Returning Customer Exclusive - Free Taro Sweet Potato Balls: Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, enticingly golden. We selected the Wontons in Chili Oil, Original Kung Pao Chicken, Stir-Fried Angus Ribeye with Scallions, and Home-Style Fried Rice. It all tastes cheap, mushy, or over-sweetened. UGH! It's not awful, but this food currently does not deserve a Michelin Guide label. Rather, this place tastes like Panda Express but with slightly better ingredients. I arrived at Sichuan Impression (Alhambra) on Thursday (around 6PM). Parking is easy because it touches a customer parking garage. Parking sign says, "Authorized Parking for Our Customers & Guests Only - 2 Hour Limit." Upon arrival, there's a crowd of people eager for the Dine LA promotion. There's an electronic waitlist. We waited about 25 minutes before being seated. Staff is rushed and lackluster. Staff is frantically stretched thin, and Staff barely interacts with customers. The service is similar to ordering bad McDonalds at the counter; Staff is indifferent and impersonal. It all felt like a marathon or sprint, as Staff plops the food on the table before running to the next table. Messy dishes pushed onto the table before hurrying away. Staff rushed everyone to order, and Staff almost never checked up on the table until the very end when the "tip option" appeared. As mentioned the family chose the Dine LA Summer Menu ($72). The Wontons in Chili Oil had a delicate, bouncy wrapping (covered in addictive spicy sauce) but the filling was shriveled and small. The Original Kung Pao Chicken tasted sugary like Orange Chicken; it felt like an attempt to hide the dry taste of its chicken. The Stir-Fried Angus Ribeye with Scallions tasted mushy and bland as if a premade bowl had been sitting out for a long time; this tasted like above average buffet food. And the Home-Style Fried Rice is hot and squishy like clay. This rice isn't fluffy and flavorful; rather, it tasted smashed together and wet. This was a BAD showcase of their talents. The food looked somewhat picturesque, but it all tasted rushed and frugal. On ambiance, Sichuan Impression (Alhambra) felt loud, crowded, and plain. The place appears clean, but it was not a memorable spot. At most, it looks like a spruced up cafeteria. Overall, Sichuan Impression (Alhambra) left a poor impression. This business couldn't handle the large crowds, and the mediocre quality/results felt very apparent. This place is not bad, but it's also not great. 3.3 out of 5

The reception wasn't warm as the girl was on the phone and she just waved at us to get in. Food was scrumptious. Their basa fish fillet in chilli sauce had to be the best I've tasted. The fish was tender, sauce yummy, veggies fresh! It was excellently prepared. Husband and Wife beef and tripe slices was another outstanding dish. The service is consistently great... attentive, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Fair warning for anyone new to Sichuan cuisine, the dominant flavor is "spicy". That said, the dishes are not just about heat... they're layered, aromatic, and incredibly well-balanced. Every dish I've tried has been outstanding, both in flavor and presentation. If you're a fan of bold, authentic flavors and reliable service, this spot is definitely worth visiting. Tip - If you're new to the cuisine, I strongly recommend getting everything MILD spicy. I've been told by some of my colleagues that MILD spicy is still pretty spicy, so be warned. With that said, strongly recommend the dishes below. Lamb with Cumin 11/10 - My favorite dish here by far. Aromatic, flavorful, and the spices are just on point. Dan Dan Noodles 9/10 - Solid and consistently good. The sauce is properly seasoned and truly compliments the perfectly cooked noodles. Shredded Cabbage with Pork 9/10 - Not to be confused with twice cooked pork. This dish is so simple and bland looking, but it's packed with flavor... so good! Garlic Pork Belly 8/10 - This is a cold dish. The meat was perfectly cooked and properly coated in chili oil. Solid and consistently good. Kung Pao Chicken 8/10 - In my opinion, it's an elevated Kung Pao Chicken. Solid and consistently good.

We got the Boiled Fish in Green Pepper Sauce, Toothpick Lamb, and Mapo Tofu. Everything was definitely super delicious. The dishes weren't too spicy for me, and I actually wish they had a bit more heat, but they did have a nice numbing kick to them. I do have a pretty high spice tolerance, though, so my experience may be different from others. My friend thought the dishes were pretty spicy, so keep that in mind if you're more sensitive to heat. The fish was super tender and soft, and honestly pretty addictive to eat. The Toothpick Lamb was pretty much the same--you just pop one in your mouth and then immediately want another. It had a nice salty, spicy flavor that made it really easy to keep eating. The only downside is, well, the toothpicks! They definitely slow you down. I also really enjoyed the Mapo Tofu. It was nice and flavorful and went really well with the other dishes. Overall, everything we tried was really good, and I can definitely see why my friends recommended this place.

They definitely know how to get people seated and keep the crowd moving in, but getting out was another story. Kept getting passed up when we were done and simply trying to leave. The food did take a while, but I can understand that when everything is being made fresh. Just know that if you're on a time crunch, this probably isn't the place for a quick meal. The gentleman who seated us and took our order was really nice, but after that, we pretty much felt forgotten about. Once the food arrived though, it was Good. Very flavorful, authentic Chinese food, and definitely worth trying. The atmosphere is loud and busy, no music, just the sound of a completely packed restaurant, so don't come expecting a quiet, relaxing dinner. Also, fair warning, some of these dishes are Spicy, and I mean actually spicy. If you love some heat, you'll probably love this place. Overall, I'd recommend giving it a try for the food. Lots of dishes to choose from. A good variety too of proteins, vegetables, noodles and Wonton soup.

The portions are generous, so I usually end up with leftovers for the next day. I can see why dishes like the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Orange Chicken, and Mongolian Beef are so popular. The rice was definitely cooked in old oil. OLD oil. It was so gnarly dude. I took a few bites and asked myself why I spent $12 to poison myself. The eggroll (probably cooked in the same oil), was permanently hot. The flavor was good on it but my stomach was starting to turn from the couple bites of rice. I finished the beef and broccoli because the sauce on it was good and the broccoli was yummy. But the beef was clearly not really beef I think. The fried shrimp was inedible completely. I don't really believe in giving 1 stars but I have to this time around because the service was really bad as well. It took like 20 minutes for someone to see me and there was no attempt at trying to fix my meal.

We'd been talking about getting Chinese food, and he picked Xiang La Hui, his go-to spot for classic Sichuan. I'd never been before, and was more than happy to try a new spot in the SGV. We met up at noon and stayed until the restaurant wrapped up lunch service and gently pushed us out the door, sometime around 2:30. The space was nice, instantly recognizable as a Chinese restaurant in Alhambra. It was pretty quiet the whole time, a good place for a leisurely catch-up. Service was fast and polite, though the combination of QR code ordering and poor Verizon service was a bummer. I had to cross the dining room to take down the wifi password posted on the opposite wall. We ordered a sizable spread for two people: Chong Qing fried chicken, dan dan noodles, wontons with chili oil, and pea tips with garlic. Everything was delicious, most of all the Chong Qing fried chicken, crispy nibbly bits of breaded chicken stir-fried with green onion and hot pepper. I love dan dan noodles and wontons, and thought both were great, if not the best I've had in the area. The pea tips were lovely, bright green and not spicy, but abundantly flavorful. I'd love to come back to Xiang La Hui and try more of the menu. It seems like a restaurant that does everything well, and I'll keep it in mind whenever I'm craving Sichuan.

We grabbed a few items to share across eight people, and it was more than enough. We definitely had to request for more water, but it wasn't mind numbingly spicy and could still taste the flavor of the food. Love that they have beer towers to share. When we went, it was an evening on a Sunday night so it wasn't that full, but it was a warm night so the doors were open.

We got chicken wings, scallion pancake, pork and shrimp dumplings, and pork soup dumplings. The chicken wings had a mountain of fried garlic on top of them. We didn't prefer it, but garlic lovers would love this appetizer. The scallion pancake was solid--thin and crispy with scallions throughout. The pork and shrimp dumplings were our favorite, filled with ground pork, and whole pieces of shrimp, served with an awesome sauce that brought everything together. The soup dumplings were not that great. They looked like they were steamed a bit too long, and the soup had leaked through. Would not get these again.

My only negative comment is that this place isn't designed to host large groups or families like I'm used to from more traditional spots. I'd say 6 or less in a group is ideal here. They can technically accommodate larger parties, but the group feels disjointed. It's very easy to go family style here. When you order an entree, it's normally in a large portion and probably not what you want to eat for the entire meal. I'd recommend coming in a group of 4 and ordering 4 different entrees. Ask for smaller plates so that you can try other dishes to balance out the flavor profiles. If you have no idea what to go for, here are some recommendations: Chongqing Crispy Chicken - it's a lightly fried and dry spicy chicken Orange Chicken (what you'd expect) Spare ribs with garlic - if you don't mind getting your hands dirty and eating around a bone Handmade dumplings - whichever sounds good Those are some common and safe choices. They have other good options, so feel free to explore!
