noodles, broccoli, and meat in a styrofoam container
    Hester K.

Had to leave a review because I'm shocked that this place has 3.5 stars. Honestly, there is nothing to not like about this place. Fast, good food, and the service is impeccable. I'm gonna go against the grain here and say that this is much better than Panda Express not only by flavor but you get so much more for your buck.

    Ted B.

Better than your average Chinese fast food place. Not as good as Panda Express in my opinion. But better than almost all the others. What I like is that they say they don't use any MSG. And the portions are huge. They aren't skimpy at all, so I never feel ripped off like at so many other restaurants. Definitely a decent place if you are hungry. Oh yeah, and the service is always super fast too. So, you won't waste time waiting around for anything.

Great portions, even better service. The kindest folks ever running a quick and easy food spot that's great for the price. They've been a go-to pre and post pandemic for me and I can't recommend them enough

Kung pao chicken and expired noodles
    Jack T.

Disgusting!! Its cheap food but not worth making me sick... the chow mein was expired, they gave me kung pao chicken instead of shrimp (im pescatarian). Quality of food is not good. Egg rolls were okay but too expensive for what they are. Paid $20 for chow mein that tasted like a dirty foot and chicken I couldn't even eat.

Our server Garrett was delightful. He was so sweet. We both ordered vodka martinis and shared the Vegetable Pot Stickers. Garrett brought us some crispy wonton strips to munch on while we waited. They were addictive, especially dipped in the plum sauce. The Vegetable Pot Stickers were pan seared. They had a nice texture and the vegetable filling was tasty. Apparently, it was prom night and we enjoyed watching the young ladies walk in dressed in decadent dresses. Our delightful evening ended with a fortune cookie half dipped in chocolate. It was the perfect dessert. *Live music on Friday nights. *Small parking lot.

You can omit egg for some to be vegan. Adding Gluten to your dish will cost more than meat option? (-1 Star). Tasty dishes. Spice level is very good. Spicy = spicy. The recipes are a little on the sweeter side here. Overall nice flavors and well cooked greens. Blistered cherry tomatoes in Pad Kee Mao were excellent. PORTIONS are pretty small. **This was not a "lunch special". I finished the Thai iced tea in one long sip. (Small glass, filled with ice when tea was done) SERVICE Fantastic. Both servers that came to the table were super friendly and attentive. ** We were the only people in there until we got the check. One other patron was picking up an order to go. PRICE Perfect "date lunch" prices for the portions. The restaurant atmosphere and convenience close to Descanso Gardens makes it a great choice.

This place is basic, nothing fancy and there's really no ambiance or special feelings associated with it - it's just an old-looking sit-down and serve establishment. The few people sitting to eat were random; I was there to order to-go. After asking what was the patrons favorite dish(es) the lady quickly pointed out the most expensive items on the menu. Of course she did. My eyes rolled but I was polite and decided to order something I recognized and wouldn't hate myself for in the morning. Chicken Teriyaki Can of coke My bill came to $34.23 Ahem! What? Why does a plate of Chicken Teriyaki cost so much? And why $3 for a can of coke? I just cannot wrap my head around it. This isn't a fancy restaurant at all! In fact, it's as basic as it gets with no ambiance or warmth. I cannot recommend this place at all. The food was pretty poor and nowhere near on par with classy eats that try to reach that $$ figure. Montrose is certainly a place where there are people with money and no taste...looking for reasons to spend it willy-nilly. I thought I took a photo of the plate when I got home. Guess not. Avoid if you aren't made of money and prefer well-prepared meals, not quick, mushy fast-foodish stuff.
