My family and I have been coming to this restaurant when they were just Great Wok. Now they have become Nu Great Wok in the recent years but the food is still pretty solid. The restaurant isn't always full as they are primarily a takeout place but now I think about it every time I've eaten here it's been for dine in. The staff are polite, and they always greet you with fried crispies to dip in sweet-and-sour sauce or hot mustard. They will always ask you if you would like some hot tea and bring out the complementary white rice to go with your entrée. My family loves hot sauce and they always keep the hot chili garlic sauce coming. Our go to items are : Three flavored sizzling rice soup Wontons in hot chili oil Barbecue pork fried rice Beef, chow fun Braised, string beans Kung pao chicken Mongolian beef Salt and pepper fried fish Orange chicken honey walnut shrimp It's definitely my go to Chinese spot when I'm in the area. The prices are fair and the food has been consistently tasty. They used to give out the almond cookies with the fortune cookies, but I haven't seen them anymore. But a fortune cookie is always better than nothing!

Quack quackery, I've never eaten the duck here.....they don't serve duck! The walnut shrimp is a favorite along with the best prepared pot stickers and Kung pao in the Valley. I sip wonton soup here on a cold winter's day. The crispy fried Winton with hot mustard and sweet n sour dipping is Chinese chips n salsa at its finest! The tea is hot n fresh. The service is kind and quiet. My family loves coming here but I love coming here alone first and then I order everything, then take the left overs to the fam. They know momma needs quiet time for a peaceful meal. Take care of yourself and get a moment of foodie bliss here.

I decided to check it out again, so let me give you all the pros and cons. Cons : parking and the parking lot is horrendous. Do not do it. There's one way in and one way out. It's a very narrow. It's very crowded. The way the cars parked are weird. Try and find parking on the street even though how all is set up right there you will not be able to find much. 2. They have no lunch menu meaning no discount prices no combos nothing like that when I asked about it I was told the only difference would be you would get noodles or rice if there was no price difference. 3. Not a fabulous place for nice dining. If you just want something casual, you don't care how it looks OK there's plenty of seeing but the restaurant looks like a storage room from the front door all the way to the back door. This is how it looks. 4. The three rice options were white rice, fried rice and brown rice. I opted for a fried rice and then when I saw it it looks like brown rice. Also looks like white rice did not look like what traditionally you think. Fried rice would be when I inquired about it. He said oh it's just white rice with egg you will see from my pictures. I didn't see any egg and even though the rice was tender, was like in a jelly mold instead of loose fluffy rice. Pros: 1. Food was delicious and I had Mongolian beef which comes with a brown sauce, beef, green onions, and white onion and there like small noodle type something at the bottom I'm not sure what that was.

My Kung Pao chicken was freshly prepared and had the correct ratio of vegetables to chicken, and it had the proper number of large peanuts and a very piquant savory/ sweet sauce that was nicely balanced and complex. I was honestly shocked at how good this dish was! A good sized portion and a generous scoop of white rice made this lunch treat the perfect surprise discovery! Reasonable prices will bring me back again to try other dishes from the menu. Cheers...... Frontier Wok Too

The waitress said something about it being nice to see my kiddo again. Hmmmm. They'd never been there before either. That made me a lil uneasy. We didn't order a whole lot of food. We ordered a fish fillet with black bean sauce. I believe we also ordered a tofu appetizer. That was pretty tasty. We ordered green beans and noodles. I can't quite remember what else. Everything was very good. Service was wonderful. The general tso chicken is very popular here. We did not order that, but we heard a lot of people around us ordered that dish. We really enjoyed everything that we had. My kiddo ordered a mango smoothie. They really loved that. The restaurant and various simple and its decor. They don't have a whole lot of tables. You can tell that this is definitely a vocal space. It was nice to see that the servers knew a lot of their customers. Parking was easy. We parked just in front of the restaurant along the street. We were right next to the dance studio. It was kind of cool to walk by the window and see 'em in there. While they do have General Tsao on the menu it's listed as spicy so I may try it next time. I had the beef broccoli which was good. The fried dumplings are always a go to and they did not disappoint and were still a bit crispy when it was delivered. That savory taste 10/10. The spring rolls were good but wish they had big egg rolls on the menu. I definitely wanted cream cheese wontons. I was a bit disappointed by the almost non existent amount of cream cheese but they were still good. They gave the normal sweet and sour sauce but my disappointment about the cream cheese was quelled when I tried the Dijon like horseradish sauce that also came with. The sweet and savory 10/10. I'll definitely ask for that any time I have wontons. I can't speak to the ambiance since I ordered delivery but the food came quick and satisfied my cravings. I may pop inside to try out the general tsao some time. If ur in Burbank or an abutting neighborhood I'd definitely recommend it. Happy munching!

The eggroll (probably cooked in the same oil), was permanently hot. The flavor was good on it but my stomach was starting to turn from the couple bites of rice. I finished the beef and broccoli because the sauce on it was good and the broccoli was yummy. But the beef was clearly not really beef I think. The fried shrimp was inedible completely. I don't really believe in giving 1 stars but I have to this time around because the service was really bad as well. It took like 20 minutes for someone to see me and there was no attempt at trying to fix my meal.

It was a but busy when we got there but luckily we got seared pretty shortly after arrival. We originally wanted to sit at the bar, but opted for a table for less wait time. When first looking at the menu we were shocked by the prices. I knew immediately i wanted to get the hui tou potstikers with pork and noodles. We ended up adding on the hongkong style wontons too. To my suprise the wontons arrived in a delicious and warm broth, keeping them perfectly moist and plump. The broth was so delicious even on a hot day, tasting faintly of sesame and scallion. Despite both dishes being pork they were so different and equally amazing in flavor. The pan fried potstikers which were CRISPED TO PERFECTION especially reminded me of black bean shortribs that you get from dimsum, fatty but hearty and had me wanting more and more each bite. The minced pork noodles were to no suprise, so good. Noodles tasted fresh, the sauce was umami with mushrooms and pork. While im not the biggest fan of mushrooms, i still ate it up. I feel it would be so good with some picked cabbage too to complement the saltiness. Most notable thing... THAT CHILI OIL. We probably used almost half the jar left at the table. It wasnt spicy at all, but it had this flavor that i genuinely have never tasted before. The texture of the chilli and sesame and the nutty flavor had me in awe. Enough to take two jars home... i would do it again. Servers were so quick, made sure everything we needed was at the table. Regardless of the crowd we were met with promptness and generosity.
