The fried shrimp was good but the tortillas were stale and the salad was too crunchy. The bread pudding was served hot and fresh just the way I like it. Can't believe I waited so long to try this place! Finally made it down to the lake for happy hour and had a great time. Nachos, fried pickles and wings were all solid. Super friendly staff and nice view of the lake has vaulted Sundancer up the rankings of my go-to spots. Only downside is the lack of AC. The big indoor fans do a pretty good job but when it's 105+ outside it can get a little warm. read more

Not a nice place. Pretty dirty and poorly decorated. I really dislike that whole "redneck" vibe, even though there were some families. Food wasn't great either (by a long shot). We sat on the patio, an easy place to be ignored. Service was very slow. I could tell our waitress was trying, but she was very inattentive and forgot our requests occasionally. The fried shrimp were so greasy and the breading was falling off. The fries were soggy. All still kind of tasty though (it's pretty hard to mess up fried food). Anyway, the prices are cheap and the view is quite nice. This restaurant has the potential to be beautiful... if it changes its concept completely. We won't be back. read more

The food is SO good here, and the portions are very large. I ordered the Hickory Burger with all that it comes with and was juicy without being super messy. The fries were soft, I like them crispy, but they were just as delicious. The Firecracker Shrimp appetizer was also a hit. Just enough spice to get the point across, and is paired with a sweet chili like dipping sauce. The view of the lake and marina is amazing, even on rainy days like it was when I was there. We have been here twice. We have a service dog because I have heart problems and diabetes and he alerts me to when something is wrong. He is very clearly marked with his service vest and his very has a card with his certification on the top of the harness. Both time we were greeted by someone telling us that we need to take him around the outside of the building to the outdoor seating area. Both times we have had to tell them that he is a certified service animal. Today they sat us by a roll up door and opened in on a mid 90° day. They did this and I quote the manager "the dog looked hot" which is totally bs. When I tried to talk to the manager she got extremely defensive and told me she is doing what the owner has told her to do and did I have anything else I needed dismissing me in a very snide manner. This places has good food but if you are an American with disabilities then I wouldn't suggest going here. read more

Just left this restaurant. The fried mozzarella is the best we've ever had. My husband said his burger was delicious. I enthusiastically ordered the catfish after asking the server if she'd recommend that or the burger. On the menu it's listed as a cornmeal breaded catfish. Sounds delicious. The server came back out and asked for clarification; did I want the catfish ponchartrain. I told her I didn't know what that meant. She repeated the word. I told her I'd like the one on the menu. When I was served a dish with a spicy cream sauce I was confused. She said that's why she asked for clarification. This obviously has happened before. I told her in the future when asking for clarification it might be better if she simply asks "would you like the fried catfish or the blackened with sauce?" She didn't offer to make it right, and I didn't want to cause a fuss. The garlic mashed potatoes on that dish were phenomenal! We live out of state, and we're catching a flight tomorrow. This place was very convenient to where we stayed in Lakeway, and we ended up going several times. The service was friendly and responsive, and the guy who was running it remembered us each time and warmly welcomed us. The Crab Hush Puppies appetizer was more crab than hush puppy and was great. The Changitas were good. Not great, but good enough that I would have them again. Fried chicken sandwich was very good, as were the blackened fish tacos. Came here based on reviews...ordered the catfish basket and bread pudding. These are the fries! Disgusting! The oil that was used had to be at least a month old. Then the bread pudding was placed in a to go container and still in its cling wrap and ICE COLD! Gross! I have never had a restaurant give me cold bread pudding! We will not be back! read more

Plank Salmon Miso salad was flavorful and delicious. Catfish basket was a generous portion. The entire basket was consumed by a 17 year old. The other nearly 18 year old had the salmon topped with crab, Brussels sprouts and potatoes. He hasn't stopped talking about his dinner. We will be back. I've had the burgers in the past, which are excellent. Today I had the Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad and the veggies were fresh and the chicken was nice and juicy. It's very easy location to get to from 620 I truly enjoyed the sunset is really nice especially around 6A clock or later plus i enjoyed the hamburgers are very Size which was surprising and very delicious. The waiter that waited on me was a little strange to me I said that if I wanted to sit near the window I have to sit at least 12" away from the window which made no sense. The drinks are good I would rate them 3 stars and food 3 stars. I find a seasoning decent of the salad lacking Flavor but if you add pepper and will it will taste like a Salad. Negative side is the tables are dirty and sticky which I cannot stand I had to put a napkin down so I can put my elbows on the table since it's a very casual place. This was not the place for me because I am a vegetarian, but I base my review on how my meat-eating family and friends feel about this place and the courtesy they show when we visit. My family all loves the food, the huge portion sizes, and the great service. My parents in particular love their cheeseburgers. They are huge, though - and served with a mess of fries. On our recent visit, the server was kind enough to cut the burger in half and serve it in separate baskets for my parents. Except leftovers here otherwise! Even though it was hard to find much for me, there was a delicious portabella mushroom sandwich with an Italian flare. All of their fried foods are cooked with the seafood, so vegs beware the fries will taste fishy. They were gracious to sub a salad on the side. I feel like they care about their customers and go the extra mile. It is also fun to note the high-water mark in the bar area. The ebb and flow of Lake Travis really shows up here! My sons order of "chicken on A Belgian waffle was actually a friend chicken breast cut up and served on 3 eggos. Seriously? I asked our waitress if that is how they were normally served and she replied " No I am not sure what's going on back there" and walked away. No effort to apologize or accommodate us. We are not a huge fan of their menu, but some items are good; ceviche, firecracker shrimp, blackened fish sandwich, and grilled chicken cranberry salads are good. This delightful restaurant made what began as a train wreck of a night into the best one of our Austin trip! Joseph was such a good waiter. We waltzed in one hour before closing time and not for a second did we feel unwelcome. On the contrary, the entire staff was warm and friendly. There was a waitress who called my friend and I beautiful and made our experience that much more special. Now let's talk about the FOOD. Wowzaaaa the ceviche was fresh and limey, just perfect. The grill platter had chimichurri, the most delicious green beans I've had in a long time, and the steak was so good.
