When I went, the line was pretty short, so I had to check it out to see what the big deal was about. The signage is hard to see while in line, and once I saw the rolls, I ended up rethinking some of my previous online flavor strategy. So many looked amazing, but I went with the bananas foster because it seemed like it would be unique and a sure thing, taste-wise. The employees were very nice and you could see them come out in large pans, fresh from the oven. They are huge and worth sharing. When they are hot and fresh, the icing just starts to melt into the roll and is creamy and sweet with a hint of rum. The caramelized banana slice on top made it special. It was as good as any cinnamon roll I've had with that unique flavor twist. I wouldn't recommend waiting in a line around the block, but it's a fun little treat option. There are a few tables inside, but it may be hard to find a table depending on busyness. I visited and May and tried 2 of their gargantuan creations. I didn't find them to be very flavorful besides being super sugary. Maybe I tried the wrong buns or it was an off day, but even their OG cinnamon roll lacked that fragrant, spicy cinnamon flavor despite the shop smelling so nice. The Brooklyn Blackout looked amazingly chocolatey, but both the cake crumble and sauce lacked depth and the slight bitterness that chocolate lovers enjoy so much. While the flavors fell short for me, I applaud them for the texture-- soft, pillowy, and gooey from all the filling/toppings (definitely messy to eat with your hands!). The shop's inside had many tables and some greenery for a nice ambiance, but it was so warm inside to the point of being slightly uncomfortable (but maybe that's to have the best conditions for their rolls?). I was curious and decided to check it out once I realized how close I was, and there was not much of a line when I visited on a weekday afternoon. I was anticipating and dreading a very long line, but I got there 5 minutes before they opened and only ended up waiting about 15 minutes to get my rolls. Thrilled that I was finally able to try Sunday Morning after my first attempt ended with them being sold out by the time I arrived. If possible, I highly recommend visiting on a weekday to avoid the long lines. I stopped by around 11am on a Tuesday and had no wait at all. There were even a few open tables which was a pleasant surprise. Since it was my first visit, the staff recommended the cream cheese cinnamon roll, and it absolutely did not disappoint. This was my first stop on a food / bakery crawl in the area and we ended up getting their blueberry lemon curd and brooklyn blackout, which heads up is extremely chocolately. I've been so so so excited to finally try Sunday morning and bite into an ooey gooey delicious pillow of cinnamon goodness. Maybe I had too high of an expectation, but I found this place very disappointing. I tried the original cinnamon roll and it didn't have that cozy, envelop you with goodness feeling I expected. They have a plain 'less sweet" frosting version but I actually thought this had a really good blend of sweet. For 6.75 this was also a good amount of roll (although might be on par with competitors). I really liked it. I'm soooo interested to try their other flavors and it also seems like it might be some seasonal flavors. Vibe: 3/5 Vibe is is that its crowded and its tight so its not exactly fun. With that said, the line does move quickly (if everyone knows what they want) and I do think there is a bathroom? However what does suck though is that if you don't get a seat then you're stuck eating this outside which is no bueno, rip sidewalk seating. Its not the most clean food to eat either so expect to get your hands dirty if you're standing room only. If cinnamon rolls are coming onto the scene well everyone needs to look out. I highly recommend coming here early to get seatings inside. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Line moves pretty fast.
