Pork vermicelli comes with imperial rolls and nuc nam sauce
    Manny Y.

Came for lunch and ordered pork vermicelli. It comes with marinated pork, imperial rolls, vermicelli, lettuce and cucumber with fish sauce. Service is good. The ladies are great. Ambiance is just like your regular restaurant.

Got the garlic noodles with chicken which was exceedingly average. The noodles were too greasy in my opinion and could have used more chicken, garlic, and maybe even veggies. Potrero hill deserved better!

Been coming here for 15 years. Food is consistently great and reasonably priced. Portions are generous and ingredients are fresh.

We enjoyed their chicken wings, which were tasty, and the tiger prawns with garlic noodles were delicious! The waitresses were super friendly and attentive. We're so glad we dined in; the ambiance was very authentic. Parking was a bit tricky, but we can't wait to go again.

I love this neighborhood gem the neighborhood has several food choices within a four block area Sunflower is one of them there's street parking be ready to walk up a steep hill we were welcomed with a warm smile and seated next to the window. I ordered the garlic noodles with prawns it came with broccoli the garlic sauce on the noodles were divine. I could just take it and put that on anything I also ordered the pork imperial rolls that were crunchy on the outside and very flavorful on the inside. My dining partner ordered the lemon grass chicken with rice both entrées had the aroma of a mother's kitchen and the portions were huge at least four people could've shared my plate. Everything was delicious. Service was fantastic. It's a nice size restaurant. If you wanna go for lunch or stop in for dinner ambience is very casual. No-frills there's also a room in the back that looks like you could have a small gathering. I definitely recommend this place and I will be back. Thank you for a great lunch experience.

Used to come here on the reg but stopped, returning today was just like old times & happy to report as good as before. Not amazing wow type place but fast, easy service. Decent, fresh food at reasonable prices. They have good fresh veg, I always get veg pho but today I wanted to switch it up and get a lunch plate tho decided against it since they were out of brown rice. I like sunflower for a quick healthy meal thats simple. Its a humble establishment with plane decore that just normal bare bones nothing special but honestly its nice & straight forward.

Sunflower is located on a corner in Potrero Hill surrounded by other cute local shops and restaurants. We often pass by it when driving or walking through the area but haven't had a chance to try it yet until today! We ordered: 1. The beef pho -- 7.5/10, good broth with just okay meat quality 2. BBQ pork vermicelli with imperial rolls -- 8/10, the grilled lemongrass pork was really good but I wished there was more The restaurant itself is pretty small and seems to get pretty busy; however, food is served quick so you'll be in and out in no time! It's definitely a no-frills type of place so don't expect spectacular service. My boyfriend and I have been looking for a "go to" Vietnamese spot in the area but haven't had much luck. I would say overall, this is a solid spot for San Francisco and would be worth going if you're around the area but not somewhere I would go out of my way to eat at. We usually have to make the drive out to Daly City or the Sunset for some decent pho, but nothing in SF will be as good as San Jose.

After a busy climbing session, I was in a need of a quick refuel and Sunflower Vietnamese called to me due to their house specialty garlic noodles. For me, this ultimately was a solid choice! The prawns were seriously JUMBO - like one butterflied prawn was bigger than my hand. I understand why there were only four in my to-go order. The noodle portion was huge as well - I ate the leftovers for several days long after I ran out of prawns. As some of the reviews mentioned, I did think the service was a bit gruff. But, being Vietnamese myself, I understand that is also just how some Vietnamese people sound - not really any particular attitude or treatment by the staff. I would definitely come back to satiate any garlic noodle cravings if I was in the area.

I absolutely love the whole menu at Sunflower! I noticed that they recently upped their prices by two dollars each item, but even with the price increase, Sunflower remains one of the most affordable restaurants in Potrero Hill, and San Francisco. When you walk in, you are instantly greeted by staff, although a bit standoffish they are extremely kind and welcoming, they're just busy! A party of two can expect to be seated very quickly with little to no wait. I will advise though that they tend to take a mid afternoon lunch for an hour where they shut down the whole restaurant, this is around 3 PM. They do not publicize this so be warned! All of the food is made fresh and brought out quickly. This is the type of restaurant that has no surprises no fuss and is simply about serving good food.

Shrimp garlic noodle ($11.95) - 2.5 stars. Very plain, no greens, exactly 5 pieces of shrimp buried under the noodles. Sat dinner 2025-04-26

Very low 3 stars overall. Just an ok spot. 15-20 minute wait on a Saturday around 6pm for seven people. They weren't full, but they just didn't have a big enough table for our group at that moment. Parking found fairly easily within a block. Service was a little abrupt and they overall seemed annoyed we were there (3 adults, 4 kids). * Shrimp garlic noodle ($11.95) - 2.5 stars. Very plain, no greens, exactly 5 pieces of shrimp buried under the noodles. * Chicken soup noodles ($13.95) - 3 stars. Fine for the kids, the chicken was very overcooked and dry.

Pretty flavorful broth! However, there was barely any meat and it was very dry. Plenty of seating and no waiting time! Good service!

The food here was amazingly delicious. I chose to eat here because it is a 15 minute walk from my apartment. The pineapple fried rice was perfectly cooked. The service was very nice. The cashier was a very polite and friendly person. I highly recommend people try this small but nice Vietnamese restaurant. I give them 5 stars

Went here for a weekday lunch for a comfort meal and got seated immediately. Ordered the beef pho and got it pretty quickly. They give you a side of bean sprouts, lime, and mint. The broth was pretty decent but I'm a bit disappointed the beef pho didn't have anything beyond slices of beef so that's why I'm giving it 4 stars.

Some dishes were better prepared than others, but overall, the food was solid across the board. If you enjoy making your own spring rolls, you'll love the grilled pork skewers. The pork is super tender and has such a incredible flavor profile of lemongrass, garlic, fish sauce, and more. Rolled up with the woven vermicelli noodles and fried wonton crisps in a rice paper, you get a wonderful combination of texture in a single bite. The other crowd favorite of the night was the bánh xèo -- the stuffed rice crepe. The bánh xèo here is by far the best one that I've ever had, even surpassing ones I had in Vietnam. The outside was insanely crispy and and was surprisingly not particularly oily, while the inside was loaded with fillings. Two other dishes that were well received by the group was the betel leaf wrapped grilled beef and the sugar cane shrimp. The beef had a very similar flavor profile as the pork, but the texture was a lot more lean. The shrimp had a bouncy, yet firm texture to it, and was very well-seasoned. My only qualm with the shrimp dish is that the sugarcane did not actually have any sweetness to it. There's fish sauce on the table along with a shrimp paste sauce, but to be honest, every dish we had was so flavorful on its own, the sauces aren't even needed. The only dish that we ordered that fell short was the grilled river shrimp. The presentation of the shrimp is impressive and very photogenic, but the flavor was lacking and the cook was inconsistent. Some people had shrimp that was undercooked -- borderline raw, and on the other end of the spectrum, others had shrimp that was so overcooked, that it was very difficult to remove the shrimp from the shell without completely tearing the meat. That said, everything else we ordered was well-prepared, and very tasty. Service was good throughout the meal, and I would definitely come back again for a meal with a large group. 4.5 experience rounding up to a 5.

The last two Saturdays in San Francisco have been not as sunny as people want them to be. One thing I always like to get in those days soup. When the sun is down I go to get Pho Ga at a Vietnamese restaurant. So I decide to pay An Chi a visit. On a weekend stroll on Geary boulevard in SF I landed at An Chi. Inside there is plenty of seating and it has an interesting and welcoming decor. The menu has everything from Banh Mi to different Buns like Bun Rieu to Bun Cha Gio Ga Nuong. I decided to get Garlic Noodle with Five Spice chicken. The noodles were like Angel hair but with a garlicky taste. I then I got the Pho Ga and the broth was tasty and it was refreshing . The noodles were fresh and chicken was tender. Overall a great place to grab Vietnamese food in SF. It feels the Fall has already "begun" when there are days in the Summer where there is barely any "sun "and some visitors and tourists get surprise and some are "stun"but you can get something warm like some some Pho along with some "bun" Go to Geary which is a boulevard and not a "street"where they serve lemon grass and bbq "meat" the Summer in SF isn't always sunshine and trying to hide from the "heat"it's also enjoying Pho and garlic noodles which are like Angel hair because An Chi is a good place to "eat"

Service, at least upstairs in the large but rather austere room, was done by a very direct waitress who seemed to be either used to culling tourists, or was being very direct about the menu, possibly both? We were essentially told to order garlic noodles, crab, beef, veggies, and not much else. Now to be fair those dishes were all good to excellent, particularly the crab and the garlic noodles, with friends absolutely raving about both. Seafood fried rice was good as well, although portions (aside from the crab) were not large, so expect to order more dishes than you might expect. The overall meal was very tasty, the physical vibe worked, but the menu felt more limited than expected, and combined with the terrible parking in the area, it didn't feel like the exceptional meal that was hyped.
