Went to ask about financing before our car's arrival the Sales associate Jack told us to just go to credit union. We went and got approve. Car came in and they "heavily encourage" us to get the financing there. I could've avoided running my credit twice if he had only told us about their financing when we asked about it. Our financial guy Luis was probably the best experience we had in this place. Left the dealership, found out that our comfort package was not included when they converted our order from 2022 model with comfort package to 2023 model. We specifically asked if the comfort package is included and Tatiana told us that it comes standard to the 2023 model. Came in AGAIN one more time to ask Jack if it came standard and he said it came standard. So we asked twice, got lied to twice and paid extra $4K to not get all these features. We called and was redirected to a manager named Eric who really didn't do anything and asked us to come in store to talk to a "specialist" who we figured can't do anything about our situation. After that, he passed the call to another manager who then told Jack to give us a call. We work on luxury sales as well as managers and would NEVER pass the call back to a sales associate to handle a customer issue after already talking to the manager. Jack called and we told them what they can do for us which is very reasonable considering the poor experience we had already. He said that he will get back to us that day because he need to talk to a manager (hence, it shouldn't have been pass back to a sales associate). 3 days passed he didn't give us a call back and we had to ask for a follow up again just to be given a corporate number to call. This is a VERY poor customer service and these sales associates need to be trained better with their product knowledge. These managers need to learn about leadership instead of throwing their untrained sales associate in an already frustrated customer to save their own skin. Managers are there to take care of their customers and their team. We would not have kept this car but we waited 10 months to get it and after waiting that long it was missing all the features that we paid for. read more

Word of caution double check the hourly labor rate before going to this stealership. Non response my truck went in August and wasn't even done until November. I had to call EACH time to check on the progress. My service adviser was worthless even though he was a nice person. They charged me a extra two hours to diagnose my problem which we already knew what was wrong. That is just wrong and obvious (extra $500) Two hours. I had a rear camera failure that was pretty obvious and common and also the gas tank "hole" broke so I could not put gas in the car. That is pretty obvious. read more

Except for one gentlemen at the parts counter who was professional and very helpful, after I had to wait for over 5 minutes for him to show up because the first lady who was there "told" me I had to wait, everyone else was non helpful if not completely rude with attitude. I Took my 2021 f150 to sunny vale ford because it was having transmission issues. I thought since I bought the truck there I was going to get excellent service but I was wrong. The truck was there for a month and a half. After sitting there for over a month ford approved for The truck to get a new transmission. Nobody called me to update me on this. I had to call every single week to get an update. When it was finally ready I went to pick it up. When I got there during after hrs I found my truck a mess. They left the truck sitting under a tree that covered the truck with sap. They didn't even try to wash it or atleast tell me the truck needs to be cleaned. They delivered the truck back to me in horrible conditions. I called them the next day. They told me to bring it in so they can wash it. When they finally washed it I took a third trip down to pick it up. When I got home I noticed all the cup holder coasters were missing. Whoever detailed the truck never put them back. After 4 days of trying to get a hold of someone. Left multiple messages never got a call back. A nice lady from the front desk was able to go find them for me and mailed them to my house. The whole experience with this dealer was a huge headache, I was the one calling to get updates. Not one time did they call me to give me an update. However, the dealership claims nobody changed my clutch and now would like to charge me to just change the clutch setting back to what it was before. Damaged lug nuts I've generally have had good experiences with Sunnyvale Ford for 'works' oil services, and warranty work, but at the last few services, the advisors seem stressed and overworked. Recently, Sunnyvale damaged 13 of the 20 factory lug nuts by using an oversized socket and/or excessive torque, swelling lug nuts to the extent that accurately-sized wrenches no longer fit. Service may claim this is a normal wear issue, but when lug nuts go from good to excessively swollen in one *single* service, I strongly disagree. read more

Suchit Thapa, a fine young salesman greeted me and took me to the car I went there to test drive. He was extremely polite, professional, very respectful and courteous. He did not rush me and did not try to over sell the car. He was very attentive and listened to me. Accountability: Car I bought from house. Transmission is failing after only 60k miles. Ford Focus transmission is known to be defective but because VIN is not flagged they don't want to fix it and want to charge me $5k for a new clutch and added parts. Service: for the piece that they replaced. They commented incorrectly. Report says they changed PCM but then they say that actually they replaced TCM. Guarantee work: I have to go back because another shop was observing error codes coming from the 'new TCM' Sunnyvale Ford service installed. They give me a hard time double checking their work and are charging me diagnostic fees for ensuring they are doing their job right. Good service: after I went back to let them know their new part is giving error codes. They don't want to check the transmission saying that the fee for checking TCM (transmission Control Module) was only to check the error codes and that if I want for them to check actual transmission they will charge me a second service fee. The TCM control the transmission, if something is wrong with it they need to check the transmission to ensure that everything is working properly. Don't buy Ford, Don't use Sunnyvale Ford service location. read more

For some reason my previous review was taken down, but I'd like to make sure it is here as we keep putting money to fix the car we have purchased from Sunnyvale Ford and it is over $6K at this point simply because of general ignorance and poor service at the dealership. I know how much work and effort goes into any kind of business, that's why before putting it here I tried to communicate the issue to the dealership, but nothing has improved. To be fair I would like to mention that there were two good people who care, but that was obviously not enough. Long story short my experience with the dealership I can describe as: - Safety-neglecting - Expensive - Time consuming - Uncoordinated - Poor communication - Deceitful - Unreliable - Disrespectful Despite the common opinion that it's normal that dealerships rip you off and you should be smarter than to buy a used car from a dealership, I personally think that this belief and practice is not okay and if it is true, then it has to be changed. Going to an authorized dealership, I want to feel safe as a customer, I want to understand what am I paying for, that I am paying a fair price (not our case) and I want to feel respected as a person. We have purchased a used car and were convinced that it went through all the safety checks before the sale. In the first few weeks of driving it we discovered vast number of issues, including breaks, catalytic converters, shock absorbers, belts, issues with electronics and many others. Even such simple things as air filters have never been changed, they were clogged and moldy. The car was NOT taken care of by the dealership at all before selling it. I became a car expert while dealing with all the problems, and it has never been my intention. I hoped that I could pay professionals to do this job for me. Instead, dealership lied about condition of the car and job that was done to it. Most of the crew at Sunnyvale Ford was uncoordinated and disrespectful through the process of communication the issues, and we are still putting money and time in to fixing the car. read more

Update: Had an issue picking up my order. I hadn't received any call saying my parts came in or an update days after the expected delivery. I called and was helped on the phone but the process was very slow, almost 30 minutes on the phone. Was told one of my parts came in and when I went to pick it up I was told they couldn't find it. The other part of was apparently never even ordered. At that time I spoke with the general sales manager Jim who did address my issues and found the part of my order that had arrived. He was helpful and didn't just brush me off. Unfortunately the part was damaged so another one had to be ordered. I don't blame the dealer for this, the damage wasn't obvious. Only when looking at the part closely was it clear that it was damaged. On Monday I received a call from the parts department manager who was made aware of my situation and also apologized and told me he will make sure everything gets taken care of. Overall I can say there were issues with customer service and my order/parts. It seems there needs to be some updated protocols or systems put in place to improve the ordering and ease of picking up parts. I do believe my concerns were properly addressed with attempts by the management to make things right. Still waiting on my parts but communication has been good the past few days. I found their ad posted in cars.com for a 2018 Honda HRV and they have it posted for $16,995.00. The price looks very appealing and since I live Southern California, I asked a friend to check out this dealership and check out the Honda HR-V that I was interested in buying. I called this morning to inquire if the car is still available, the manager said yes and told me that my friend can go there and ask for Jack. My friend went to the dealership this morning and met with Jack their salesman. He FaceTime me and relayed to me that the car is in good condition. I called Jack and gave him my cash offer to purchase the car. Jack needed to get an approval from his sales manager but called us back with a few minutes to let us know that they approve to sell the car out the door for 18,250.00. He asked when I can come out to get it, I said I will be there by tomorrow to pick up the car and have the cashiers check with me. I even gave him my flight information and Jack said that it should work because they close at 8:00 pm on Saturday. I booked my flight and I was set to go tomorrow and I got 3 missed calls around 4:38, 4:39 and 4:40 pm because I was charging my phone. They sent me a text around 4:45 to let me know that the car is Already SOLD! I got so mad and called the sales manager, the manager could only tell me that he's sorry and transferred me to JIm their General Manager. Their General Manager had no idea what was going on and had to relay my story with him. All he can say was I'm sorry and there's nothing he could do and he won't even offer anything to compensate me for all the hassle and money I've lost on airfare ticket. This dealer has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. After picking my car up from service about 6 months ago, I noticed my email address on my paperwork had been listed as diaperrash@hotmail.com. I called the dealership to express how unhappy I was and spoke with service manager Lenny. Lenny proceeded to tell me that he asked around to see if I was a rude customer and no one said I was, so he wasn't sure how that email address got there, as if it would have been justified if I had been rude. I then spoke with Tom McNab, the director of service, who was extremely apologetic and didn't want to lose my service. He offered me free pick up and delivery as well as a comped service if I decided to bring my car back to them. I appreciated his apology and decided to give their dealership another try. BIG MISTAKE. Two weeks ago the dealership came to pick up my car for service and once it was returned to me, I had a large chip and scratch on my rim that I had painted black. I have called Lenny and Tom numerous times about the damage to my car and have never heard back from either of them. Absolutely, DO NOT buy a vehicle from Sunnyvale Ford, Sunnyvale, CA. We bought a Certified used 2020 Ford Ranger in Nov. 2024. We were given the inspection papers and guaranteed that everything was inspected and in perfect condition. There was a small, rear axle leak, which they said they fixed. They installed new, All Terrain tires. The tires had a howl on the freeway and we thought that was normal for All Terrain tires. In Feb. 2025 the truck developed two very distinctive, questionable noises. We immediately took it to Fremont Ford. They found a leaking valve cover gasket, the fuel pump needed replacing and the transmission needed to be rebuilt. That was all covered by the warranty. They also found that the howl we heard was NOT the tires, but was the rear differential needed to be rebuilt and rear axles replaced. That was NOT covered by the warranty because, instead of fixing the rear axle leak, Sunnyvale Ford had filled it with Silicone. Silicone in the rear differential voided the warranty. We had to pay Fremont Ford $5,300.00 to get our truck fixed. It took over one month to fix everything. read more

My wife has already posted a full review, so I'll stick to the highlights of my experience, and what I have learned. Long story short: We decided to purchase a used Ford from the Sunnyvale dealership because we thought this would be a safer place to purchase a used vehicle than from an internet ad -- both for the safety of the vehicle itself because we assumed they would only re-sell good quality cars and would be transparent about any issues, but also for our personal safety because going to a dealership felt much safer than meeting someone random from Craigslist. We were wrong on both counts. I did not know that car dealership staff members are trained to rip off unsuspecting buyers like us. And now our acquaintances treat us as though we did something wrong or stupid by going to a dealership. This is victim-blaming, and it's not ok. I had an expectation that the dealer would provide me with a safe, well cared for--or at least well-inspected--used vehicle, and would inform me of any issues with the car. This was not the case with Sunnyvale Ford. We have had to take the car back three times since our purchase a month and a half ago, endured the men in the service dept who mostly just disrespected us (and almost certainly trash-talk us behind our backs), and paid an extra nearly $3k (including the rental car) to fix issues they did not inform us about from the beginning--and there are still many more issues (which they didn't tell us about) to fix over time. In my experience, the only people who do their jobs properly at this dealership are Paulette the customer service manager, and Oscar, our service mechanic. Unfortunately the other staff members just seem to be taking people's money in return for unsafe and unreliable used cars. It is unacceptable that an entire industry is known for ripping people off, and that this behavior continues even today. I hope perhaps telling others could in some way change the industry to be better. read more

I purchased a used Subaru STI from here. They had a reasonable deal for how expensive they are becoming. I took it for an inspection, even though they said it was all good to go. There were several things missing, not working, damage that would have costed around ~$1500 to fix. After talking, and finding out their mechanics didn't even look at it and went off the auction sellers inspection, they agreed to fix said items. Thankfully I got it inspected. I later found out the oil was super dark and badly needed an oil change. I haven't even driven ~400 miles. DONT buy used cars from here unless you get it inspected and check all the basic needs. read more

Got rear-ended in June of this year, and after 3 months of searching online and countless dealership visits, I finally came across an Ad of a Lexus IS200T F-Sport for sale here. Came in to look at the car on Labor Day and I absolutely fell in love with the car. It was exactly how it was in the pictures, it was beautiful... The Dealership price was around 27,000 something but it was listed for a deal for 25,998. Back to Labor Day, we were greeted by Maseeh, (which is the Internet Sales Manager). He gave us the keys to look at the car and take it around for a ride. I loved it. Unfortunately, I was looking for a car around 25,000 max, so we asked Maseeh if we could make a deal at 25k and take of 1k of the price. He went to talk to his boss, and they could only give us $500 off, so we couldn't get a deal done and I was pretty bummed out, but hey everything happens for a reason. Fast forward 3 days later on Friday, Maseeh gave us a call and got approval to make a deal with us and we agreed on 25k. The next thing here was what made my experience here at Sunnyvale Ford MEMORABLE. My Dad (who was helping me with the acquisition of the car) didn't give off work till 8pm. So Maseeh kindly waited for us to get there at 845pm to settle the paperwork and details (mind you this was 15 mins before they closed). Eric, who was a sales guy volunteered to stay late to help out with the financial part of the business even though it was not his job title, thanks a lot Eric! Very dissatisfied with my recent "full service" - the works - oil change. I spent around $180 so the dealership would perform all needed maintenance checks at 10k miles with tire rotations. I immediately noticed after paying for the service and inspecting my vehicle that they did not rotate my tires. There was no denying this because I explicitly requested they put my brand new spare into rotation. All of the original dust on my wheels remained prominently undisturbed, suggesting none of them were ever even touched. They admitted to not doing - this part - of the service because their tire guy was out of town. Okay, but why would you agree to this service request and accept my full payment if you didn't have the resources to begin with? I paid full price for partial work and was sent on my way with a "we apologize." Disappointing enough as this is, I also noticed as I drove off they didn't reset my oil life gauge. Not a huge inconvenience to do it myself, but I pay the premium dealership prices with an expectation of full premium service. If all I wanted was an oil change, I'd go down the street and spend $35 at a small shop. A couple weeks later, I popped my hood and noticed my wiper fluid level at 50%. I guess they didn't bother to top off my fluids either, which is also guaranteed in the package. Maybe their fluids-topper guy was on vacation too. This service center does not do the work they promise. If you are looking for a dealership to hold your car for $5 and charge you for work they didn't do, head on down! This week I had a stone crack my window on my 2023 Bronco so I called Sunnyvale Ford to arrange a fix since I purchased an extra warranty that was promoted to me to include window repair . They scheduled me to come in to have it repaired . When I show up for the work they told me they don't do the work there and I have to arrange with 3rd party . Why arrange an appointment for me to come to Ford! The service center here doesn't know what they are doing . Go to another Ford dealer is my recommendation . This place is useless ! read more
