We found Sunrise Cafe on Yelp! when looking for a breakfast spot on a Saturday morning. We came in at the tail end of the breakfast rush and had zero wait time. The ambiance is bright and clean and there were several TVs displaying local news and sports highlights. However, the staff is the star of the show. We decided to sit at the bar and received exemplary 5-star service from Ruth. She was responsive, kind, attentive and set the experience apart. The food was also incredible. The eggs were fluffy, the French toast was exquisite and we received an apple crisp dessert for being first time guests that made our toes curl! I highly recommend Sunrise and recommend asking for Ruth, but I'm confident any server would provide stellar service! read more

My family enjoyed this place. They were able to accommodate my party of 5 fairly quickly. It a family friendly place and seemed pretty popular after church cuz it was packed! When we discovered we wouldn't have enough time to actually sit and eat our waitress had no problem ordering all of our meals to go. When we offered to get up from the table she told us it was okay to sit there and wait until til our food arrived. Before our food arrived she gave us everything we would need for our meals. Plastic wear, syrup, Tabasco , ketches, etc. Our food came out what seemed to be fast and everything was accurate. I loved my crepe- I think it was the jack of all trades(bacon, tomato, spinach, jack cheese) , the seasoned potatoes were good. I loved the biscuit and gravy, especially since there was no up charge for sausage gravy. The meals included regular French toast, caramel French toast, cinnamon roll pancakes, and veggie scramble. Recently enjoyed a nice breakfast at Sunrise Cafe in south Tulsa. There was a short wait when we arrived, but we were seated within 10 minutes. The service was wonderful, and the menu had a variety of choices. I chose the Triple Bogey (eggs, meat, waffles or pancakes) while my husband had the breakfast burrito. The portions were large and everything was tasty! Additionally, we shared the drink flight, which allowed us to choose 4 of their beverages (mimosas, Bloody Mary, Ranch Water). Not gonna waste time getting to the point, the Sunrise Potatoes suck. Order fries, regular hash browns, or substitute with something, steamed Brussel sprouts, oatmeal...anything. If you like traditional hash browns or home fries you will be throwing rocks at these potatoes. Ok I said it.... I could ramble on with a colorful anecdote; just look at the pictures. They don't even look good. Dark, gloomy chunks of spuds. Yeah, there is always that one guy...sorry I didn't like 'em. Well then, The restaurant is a clean, bright, well-staffed, well ran establishment, offering a wide selection of breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. Healthy options, a little Mexican version of breakfast and the good ol' standard American diner breakfast. A little of everything. Dragging a little? There is an attractive adult beverage list, with elixirs suitable for that Saturday morning recovery. You know, when you need some of the "hair of the dog the bit you!" I love eggs Benedict, but they are a pain in the arse to make at home. It is the perfect breakfast out meal. Sunrise Café eggs Benedict was good. Two perfectly poached eggs, stacked on a English muffin, ham, a tomato slice (odd but good) all under a decent Hollandaise Sauce. Push the Sunrise Potatoes aside, eat the fruit! Not bad! I think my wife must have wanted Mexican food for breakfast. She ordered The "El Jefe" bowl. Three eggs scrambled, chorizo, avocado, green chilies, onions and sour cream all cunningly arranged to hide those Sunrise Potatoes on the bottom of the bowl. The seasoned Sunrise Potatoes were tolerable with the Mexican flavors of The El Jefe Bowl. Unfortunately, the unappetizing looking avocado slices, were past their retirement age, showing a few black spots. Other than that, ...it was Ok. In summary.....Order Hash Browns!!! Nice breakfast & lunch spot. Went with spouse for breakfast. Had a coupon offering 2 eggs, meat, potatoes plus toast or biscuit & gravy. Were somewhat taken aback when the waitress said only one of us could use the coupon. Started to get up and leave but noticed a chalk board with another breakfast special for the same price. So spouse used the coupon and I got the board special, eggnog French toast with bacon and 2 eggs. It was quite good. The French toast really tasted like eggnog and my eggs and bacon were done the way I like them. I'll go back but I think the way they handle coupons designed to bring in new customers. read more

We came as a party of 2 and we were seated right away. Our waiter was exceptional. I don't think he ever said his name, but he was amazing. The menu is large and has so many delicious options. The coffee was great. My sister got one of the fresh juices with turmeric and it was so good. 3 star rating based upon the food was good and my comments. The previous owner cut back to one piece of toast (basic bread type) with your breakfast which the new owner continued with. I myself like to wipe up the egg yolk with my toast and need 1 piece of toast per egg cooked over easy or medium which I typically order three eggs. Requested two extra slices since I knew it would only include one slice based upon past experience and was charged the price of a full loaf of bread for those two slices which I give them credit for removing from my bill. They said the reason for one slice is that most customers only eat one slice and the other slice becomes a wasted expense out of their profit margin. I fully understand that rational but my point is they should at least ask if the customer would like one or two slices of toast or assume the customer might like one slice per egg ordered and not charge the cost of a 1/2 the cost of a full loaf of bread per extra slice. read more

LOVE sunrise cafe!! the food is amaaaazing, i've gotten different crepes both times I've come and they were so so good but people i've gone with have gotten other items that were also wonderful. The service is spectacular, i don't know if they purposely served us fast because they knew we had a tight turnaround or if service is just super fast normally, but we got our food in 10 minutes. This place is a little small for big parties but they do have a couple of big booths for them. They also have a bar so you can eat or drink there as well. The crowd was mixed with some retirees and middle aged men and women. So everyone should feel welcomed. Now to the good stuff, the FOOD! I ordered the French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. I'll start with the bacon it's not the ihop thin cut bacon. This bacon is the thick cut! Two of these bacons are 4 ihop bacons easily. Then the French toast was not over cooked or undercooked. 10/10 fluffy and taste was amazing. The eggs were also cooked just right not to runny & not overcooked! I'll definitely be back. read more

Love this establishment!!! Bright, lively decor! Always clean and fresh looking. Menu has lots of options and has a nice variety. Food is served hot and plentiful. They have a full bar and fun alcohol and no alcohol drink options. Kid drink options include Shark water that is blue with gummy sharks swimming in it and one with cotton candy and sprinkles on it! My grandkids loved their drinks! Youngest one had a small meltdown when brothers drink had a gummy shark and hers didn't. Waitress quickly brought her a couple of gummy sharks and asked if she would share her cotton candy with brother. She happily did share and "crisis" was averted by attentive waitress! Food is amazing! My husband and I got the pollo burrito and it was amazing! We both enjoyed every bite! Our 3 year old got the kids version of triple bogie (scrambled eggs, bacon, pancake, with side of fruits). Our 10 year old got the chocolate pancake & chocolate milkshake.
