We got seated quickly despite it being a little busy but when we got seated our waiter came and asked for our drink order as she brought out our drinks the water didn't taste right and when we ended up ordering our food I asked for a soup and asked for her to bring it out before my meal she never brought it out and when I got my meal I still didn't get my soup but when I was finished with my food I asked her for a box to go mind you I had a lot of food left on my plate but I had took a few meat balls off my plate and set them aside she said she'll bring me my box but took my plate of food that I was gonna take to go and left me with my meat balls and that's it read more

First of all, the food was good. Now, the bad part: We remain in a situation where every business that is open should be practicing strong safety measures to protect their staff and customers. Hostess: no mask. Servers were wearing masks, all pulled down around their necks, so to no effect. Manager came around to check on everyone, also wearing no mask. Most of the customers (except for our table of two and one other table of two) were not distanced and were not masked coming in or out. The fact they did not take our health concerns seriously means we probably will not come back. In hindsight we probably should have just walked right back out the front door. Take out order, a waste of $24! I ordered baked mushroom (appetizer); fried shrimp with French fries and Cole slaw and a plain hamburger patty for my dog. The mushrooms were soggy and the covering was horribly wet. Fried shrimp was extremely salty. French fries were good (only item worth eating). Plain hamburger with bun (I asked for no bun) was eaten by my dog, must of been ok. I didn't receive Cole slaw or tartar sauce, I received 2 containers of ranch dressing. I tipped the server $3 because she was nice. I called the establishment and spoke with the manager, Vanny or Manny. Explained the situation to him and he replied, ok. We went for the first time yesterday and it was very nice. Love the atmosphere and we had three couples at our table. My husband and I had already eaten, so we shared a calamari basket. Our calamari was noticeably over cooked and very dark, especially compared to the two fried shrimp plates at our table, that were cooked to a beautiful golden color! We Just don't think the fried calamari should have been served that way, almost inedible. My husband mentioned it to the server & he said he noticed it too. I've been here a couple of times. The first trip was great, it was at the old location. I took my mom there and she got a fish sandwich which was huge, she ate half of it. I was shocked she ate that much. It looked yummy. I ordered the taco salad, I've never had a taco salad with a cold shell. I asked the waitress about the cold shell, and she said it's a salad it's suppose to be cold. The hamburger was like warm, and had no taste. I brought it home to my doggies. "Guaranteed to never leave hungry" was what the shirts the servers wore. Do I agree with this? Absolutely! I came here during lunch on a Friday afternoon, and there was a 20 minute wait. There were a lot of great options, but I settled for the spinach pie. It came with a Greek salad, pita bread with tzatziki and a choice of French fries or rice. I chose the fries but regretted not ordering the rice instead (the fries were good). The food came out fairly quickly and everything tasted great. The desserts looked amazing but was too full to try. I ordered the bbq chicken salad which was delicious. The portion was HUGE! My husband and his cousin both got the chicken fried steak with mashed and veggies. This is a really easy review to write. And here we go!.. I was flying solo, without my wing wo-man, Fetching Fiancée. I decided to land in a local field like hitting the 3 wire on a aircraft carrier deck. Uh well, actually, I parked my car..but the lot was busier than an airport's on Thanksgiving holiday... I ordered The Famous Greek Salad, regular size for just $7.99. This salad is quite big, it was more than enough for a guy like me! I love salads, and I loved this one. At first I wasn't overwhelmed with the Greek dressing. It was a little sweeter than I'm used to, but after a few bites, I was tasting its harmony with the other ingredients and it was plenty good. It's okay to have different varieties on a theme, or dressing in this case. Now comes a brief dissertation about Manny. Since I'd dined here before, I knew about him. And soon, I saw him. This man walks the floor like a proud papa. Proud of his creations. Proud of his family, his staff. He wants to be 100% sure in his mind that there are no problems, no concerns and no one leaves hungry or unhappy! Period! I watched him approach table after table with utmost courtesy, touching shoulders, shaking hands, speaking with his guests. It was obvious that plenty of these patrons were regulars and have a high regard for Manny, Mister Sunrise Eatery! I even overheard his conversation with a nearby table, stating that "They don't charge a sharing fee". I know this is not the case at so many other restaurants. I realize that a large volume of Sunrise Eatery diners are senior citizens on a fixed budget. This is a HUGE give-back to the community, among other things. Manny appreciates the business and is not on a 'rake the wallet clean' mission. Kudos for that! Of course, Manny set his sights on me, too! Just about every time he strolled by, he'd be sure to ask if everything was okay, or did I need anything? And, right before I was ready to leave, he inquired without my asking, if I would like a To-Go Tea? I was just about to ask Beaming Brenda for one, but he beat her to it! NOW that is SERVICE! I will say that I certainly left thirst-quenched and well fed. But what I felt most, was knowing that there are still really genuine, polite, hard-working and amazing people out there. I came to Sunrise Eatery on a Sunday around 3:00 PM ET with my wife and my parents. It wasn't too crowded since it was late for lunch and a little early for dinner, so we were quickly seated. Our waitress was at our table immediately and took our drink orders while we browsed the menu. My mother ordered the catfish plate, my father an omelet, my wife a goat-cheese burger, and me a cheeseburger. It only took about 15 minutes for our food to be prepared and delivered to our table. My burger was pretty good, and my wife enjoyed her as well. My parents stated that their meals were delicious too and that they would order them again. Throughout our meal, our waitress (Annicka) checked on us to make sure we were doing well and to refill our drinks. We all got out of Sunrise for about $10 per person (before tip) which isn't bad for the quality and quantity of food that we got. We'll be back! read more

A lot of people ordered milkshakes around me, but I couldn't afford the extra calories, although they look great!
