Overdue 5* Review for a Special Dealership! Long story short: I was in the market for a used EV that Sunrise Ford had in their inventory. A couple of trips back and forth and a big misunderstanding by me about EV cars ended up with yours truly (me!) getting very upset with Sunrise Ford. I lost my cool and created a difficult situation, where I had become, you know, "THAT customer" guy. Well, I was very lucky to have salesperson Ryan Doan answer the phone, dig into the situation, and tell me to get me back over to the dealership for us to take another crack at selling/ buying a used car. I had felt awful about losing my temper, really did no good whatsoever for anyone, and I was way out of line losing my temper with a different new (young) salesperson there. It wasn't even like me, I had had tough times at work and I suspected I took it out on a young salesperson. In short, I wouldn't have wanted to sell a car to me, because well, I had become "THAT customer"! But Ryan was patient and calm, heard me out, and listened as I explained how awful I felt about what had happened. I've been in sales for 30+ years; and I can't believe I lost my cool I was embarrassed by my actions just as a person, as a professional, as a fellow human being. I understood that Sunrise didn't necessarily want to sell me the car anymore, but I was able to get Ryan to get me a couple of minutes at least with his Managers (Al Orduno and Art Jimenez). I just wanted to apologize to Sunrise staff, to them for me losing my cool; I knew that the car was gone already, but I just wanted to let them know I was sorry about the entire situation. It was at this time that I realized how special a place Sunrise Ford is, as Art and Al made the unexpectedly kind and human decision to continue the process along and let me try again to buy the car I was interested in. It's a rare business that lets their Managers really manage...allowing them to make a judgement call based on the situation. And that's what Al and Art did: they wanted to go forward because they knew how sorry I was about the entire situation. Ryan Doan ended up escorting the sale along. Ryan and I ended up sort of rapping out, I dunno, a conversation that started about the situation, shifted to our past cars, past careers, and then ended up covering our past lives, family, our brothers, etc. It was about as enjoyable and interesting a conversation as I have had in a long time with anybody that you first meet. Ryan is as impressive a "young person" as I have met in a very long time; he has all the potential in the world; smart, well-spoken, sincere...and will be a great salesperson, a tremendous asset for Sunrise should they hold onto him. Ryan followed up with me a couple of weeks later, just to make sure I was happy with the car, and he thanked me for the sale and the conversation. I was really interested in a 2005 Honda S2000 Sunrise Ford had for sale, but the experience with their sales team (Johanna and Ricky/Ricardo) was a complete nightmare. This whole process dragged on for over 2 weeks. It started with Johanna taking my information and telling me I was pre qualified to sign for the car either on my own or with a guardian. After that, i got a call from someone else saying i didn't qualify to sign off myself. We agreed on 2k down payment and a few days later, they call back saying they wanted more of a down payment. communication went downhill fast. I would call several times a day trying to get more details about the car and the payments (which they never gave me a clear answer on) they just told me that it would be "more" and never "HOW MUCH MORE" and if no one answered, I left voicemails asking for a callback. Not once did I get a call back from Johanna/ Ricardo, OR THE MANAGER. On top of that, they told me at one point that the manager had my info and would reach out to me he never did. I was constantly left in the dark, chasing answers they never provided. Finally, after all this wasted time and effort, they called me just to say the S2000 had been sold. HORRIBLE SERVICE. The service department always lacks. It's not just this one. I make an appointment for a recall 2 weeks in advance because that's what they have. 1. The girl who helped me wasn't helpful or friendly when I made the appointment. I show up to my appointment early on a Monday. Mind you, I live in Garden Grove and work in Fontana. I pull into service like I would and I sit and wait and wait and wait. No one. So I gather my stuff and get out my car and stand there. I wait and wait and wait. Nothing. I see people behind the glass though. I finally see someone walking by so I ask "do I wait here or is there somewhere else I need to go and check in?" He says "you're supposed to wait in your car and someone is supposed to come out and check you in. They didn't come?" Obviously not, sir. So he gets someone. They come out and can't find me on the sheet. Under my name or company. But wait! They finally do. The guy tells me to go inside and wait for him. I go into the customer lounge and wait. I get a call from the guy who was helping me. (I don't think he ever told me his name.) he says "can you come to my office?" Sure. He tells me "oh the part is on backorder, it won't be in for like a month. We will call you." My thought which I vocalized out loud "why didn't the scheduler tell me?" Answer: I just let her know to tell people about that. "How come no one called me before I showed up?" I left and called Citrus Ford. I dropped it off and picked it up the next morning. I purchased my last two vehicles from this dealership and I was appreciative of the service I received every time. Luanne was my saleswoman for my 2018 Fusion Plug-in Energi and they are always willing to make the best deal. I was very picky about the model and features I wanted and they made it happen by bringing the car up from San Diego that very day. They have a huge selection and due to the size and sales quantities, they were able to beat all deals and quotes from other Ford dealerships. Although I turned my lease in recently and did not end up with another Ford, I would go back in the future and recommend them to anyone in the market for a truck or other vehicle. What are these? Google says they are accessories the dealer has added on. So allegedly options they chose not to disclose but pad the sales price. A $37,100 advertised price was now $43,840. He explained me in details what to expect. He gave me a timeline of the process. He set proper expectations and gave me a follow up with any new event. I had to replace the stock chin splitter on my 2024 Mustang. After doing a considerable amount of research I found SFP. There were a mix of both good and bad reviews but I hoped they could be the help that I needed. Sometimes reviews don't tell a whole story. My local dealership wanted almost double the price I got from SFP so I took the chance and ordered my parts. Oscar Ortiz was quick on the emails and made sure he had all of the necessary info to make sure I got what I needed. Shipping was fast and I was able to get what I needed for a fraction of the cost. I would like to express my dissatisfaction with purchasing a vehicle from Sunrise Ford. Sadly, everything was going well with the purchase of a 2018 F150 until the day we came in to do paperwork for the vehicle. We had agreed on a price via phone and texting and did all the required paperwork to be in and out of the dealership as quickly as possible as we had hired a babysitter to watch our kids to during the purchase of the vehicle. We also agreed that there would be paint touchups done to the vehicle as there was paint missing on the roof of the vehicle. I had mentioned to the salesman that we have other activities that day and we need to be out there as quickly as possible. He told us since we had all the paperwork taken care of we would go into the finance department and be out of the dealership within an hour. We scheduled a time with the salesperson to come in and we arrived 15 minutes prior to our appointment. This is where it went horribly wrong. The paperwork that was submitted the day before had gone "missing" such that we had to start the paperwork all over again. There was also paperwork that was supposed to be sent to us that we did not get as well. This took approximately 45 minutes to complete and after completing we waited an additional hour and a half until we got to sit down with the finance person. During our time with the finance person, he had to call in the Salesman twice as there was information missing that was needed to complete the sale of the vehicle. During our process of signing paperwork, he said "I'm sorry that you had to experience this, this is by far one of the worst packets of completed paperwork I have seen in a while." If I could give the finance person 5 Stars I would as he knew our frustration and did everything he could to get us out as quickly as possible. Once all the paperwork was completed, he called to the salesman so that we could take delivery of the vehicle. At this time, we have been at the dealership for 4 hours. My wife decided to go home as she was no longer needed since we had to ask our babysitter to stay for additional time since we went over the 1 hour the salesman told us we would be there. When taking delivery of the vehicle the paint was not fixed on the roof of the truck, and they had only left me 25 miles in the tank. This was a complete disappointment knowing that their disorganization of the sale of this vehicle was lackluster at best. The salesman said he might be able to put 5 gallons in the vehicle but would have to go ask his management. I specifically told him that I was not going to wait any longer for something when I was supposed to be in and out of the dealership in an hour and have already been here a total of 4 hours. I had asked him for a free oil change since the sale of the vehicle was not organized and took several hours longer than expected. He informed me he would ask his management and get back to me. After a week of waiting, I never heard back from him. At this point I am completely frustrated with the purchase of this vehicle. !!!WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP!!! Every moment of the car buying process was uncomfortable and downright cringeworthy. We dealt with pushy salesmen at every turn, dishonest advertising, sneaky sales tactics, long wait times, and they even had the nerve to repeatedly pander me for a good review. Sunrise Ford advertised a vehicle with a fixed price online. We called to confirm the price advertised on autotrader.com (http://autotrader.com) with the sales manager and to ensure it was in stock. We were given confirmation on the price and availability over the phone and told to come on in. We drove over an hour to reach the dealership to check out the vehicle. After spending some time doing an inspection, giving it a test drive, and having our trade-in inspected, we went inside to seal the deal. I was told this dealership is exceptional (by the salesman) because they are one of the only dealerships to honor Kelley Blue book value on trade-ins. The salesman pulled out a piece of paper and started crunching numbers. I noticed the price he wrote on the paper was over $3,000 higher than the sticker price on the truck. The salesman told me that was because there were some "extras not advertised" on the vehicle and that there was nothing he could do about it. I explained that the price we were given on the phone, matches the price in the window of the vehicle, which also matches the price on the website. I asked why this additional $3,000 wasn't advertised anywhere. I was told, "it's in the fine print of the ad, it has to be or it would be illegal". I brought up the advertisement on my phone, handed it to him, and asked the salesman to show me where in the fine print this additional $3,000 or additional features were displayed. He looked over the ad, handed my phone back, and said, "oh it's not there". I brought the sales manager into the equation and asked him why the dealership would advertise a price that isn't accurate. After a heated discussion, the sales manager said he agreed with me, that sort of advertising is wrong, but that "all dealerships do it". I asked how much he was going to give us for our trade-in (that they had already inspected). The manager said he was unaware we even had a trade-in. The salesman informed the manager he left the paperwork on his desk. (More disorganization and poor communication). Without getting up to look at the paperwork or inspection, he asked, "how many miles on it?". When I told him, he said he'd give us $4,000 for it (sight unseen). I told him that's not comparable with Kelley Blue Book value (which was $1,000 higher). I informed him the salesman told me during his pitch that this dealership was "special because they honor Blue Book value on trade-ins". I asked him why I was told that if it isn't true. He said they just do the best they can to get close. They tried selling some ridiculous insurance policy as well. It didn't seem to matter that we said we weren't interested, they pulled the classic, "I'll be right back with business card..." tactic, left the room, and came back with yet another obnoxious salesman trying one last time to sell the overpriced policy we already said we didn't want (half a dozen times). It wasn't until I got angry and told them to stop badgering us that they gave up on it. None of our interactions went pleasantly, yet at each step of the process, the employee we were dealing with made it a point to tell me (not ask me) to give them five stars on this review. The pandering was pathetic. Even after the purchase was done, we had to wait 45 minutes for our new vehicle to get gassed and washed. You would think they would bring out a spotless car? No, they bring out our new car covered in water and I had to help dry it myself before we could even leave the lot... Dealerships like this are the reason people dislike the car buying process. I should have read the reviews before wasting a Saturday at this sleazy establishment. I actually called ahead and made an appointment in an attempt to avert such a waste of time. That was a total lie because they never even told the guy I had the appointment with that I was there. They load their vehicles with a bunch of expensive "no-value" options such as $695 for Nitrogen in the tires - other dealers add that for free. I abruptly left after 3 hours of wasted time - my phone rang 16 times telling me that they wanted to make a deal - but why did they not want to make a deal when I was there? So I agree to proceed with the purchase and the finance guy calls me and tells me he is sending the paperwork over for me to e-sign. All that is fine but as I read the contract it is NOT what we had agreed upon. They changed the extended warranty to a 3rd party and I specifically stated I wanted only the Ford Extended Warranty. Beware - their privacy agreement allows them to do whatever they want with your personal information - these guys probably sell it to the vultures on the dark-web to make a few extra bucks. The service department is horrible. I get a text from the dealership on the 10th about a safety recall on my suv. They told me the only day it could be serviced was on the 24th. I have to work that day but decided to take the day off and get it taken care of. They told me they could come to my house and fix it through there mobile service. I said ok, and on the 23 I get a text reminder telling I have the appointment the next day. It's 24th and my appointment is at 8:30am. I waited the whole day for no one to show up or even contact me asking if I could reschedule or they can't make the appointment. I lost a day worth of pay from my job and wasted the whole day waiting for an safety recall they can't honor or refused to do. I texted a few times and called a few times and all of a sudden I don't matter. The guy who's been texting be tells me basically we'll let you know when we know about the situation and my phone calls go straight to voicemail. Today I get a text saying "we're sorry, we'll follow up with our team. Thank you for your patience." Basically the same BS text I got yesterday. It's fine if you don't want to honor my appointment or give me any reason for wasting my whole day and pay. I'm sorry I'm not a valued customer because it's a recall that I don't have to pay out of my pocket. But you can respect a customer who comes in pays for services and let them know when there are issues with the appointment. Sunrise sold me a lemon. Then I quickly learned their Service Dept was backlogged, overworked and discourteous. Ford Motor Company resolved my claim under lemon law, but could not refund for dealer installed security accessories and LoJack. These accessories by the way, I never wanted but of course had to buy if I wanted the car. Then, Sunrise never activated the LoJack but I finally gave up calling them to fix because they never answered. I say all that because after Ford took the car back and directed me to Sunrise for the after/market refunds, Sunrise refused to reimburse me. Don't buy a car or do any business here. The person we had an appointment with was already helping someone else and handed us off to another salesman. First they couldn't get car we were interested in buying open. We decided to run the numbers with our pre-approval from Capital One anyway. They told us we had to wait until Monday because they had to make a call. When we didn't get a call back my husband tried calling and they said someone would call us back. Today is Saturday and we have yet to hear from them. Paid $295 diagnostic fee and more for a rental for 2 days, only to be told they could not get it down. They also "supposedly" checked fluids, brakes, etc. Gave me a usual print out of all things checked. I even asked if oil level was OK and was told yes. I found a video on You Tube regarding the sunroof issue and a co-worker followed the instructions and sunroof was down in less than an hour. I then decided to check oil myself and had to add 2 quarts. So what does this tell me. They took $295 and did absolutely nothing. I would never recommend this dealership or go there again. Definitely avoid this dealership if they have a used car that interests you. I worked closely with a guy named Christian in online sales to work out a deal on a truck I liked. After I drove 2 hours to the dealer from Orange County they let me know Christian was unable to make it in today despite an emergency. I later heard guys talking to a Christian - could be a coincidence but I think not. Christian promised me a washed, gassed up truck for my arrival. When I arrived some sleeze ball named Aaron helped me. Brought up the dirty as truck that was damaged clearly hoping the dirtiness would hide the damage. Aaron also explained to me that Christian failed to mentioned the mandatory dealer installed "protection package" for this POS which would add another $3500 to the final price. Needless to say I left tire marks in the parking lot, I couldn't get out of there fast enough. read more

I was making calls to different dealerships looking to get a 2023 Bronco. I was connected to Edward and he seemed very helpful and straightforward in my options since these cars are difficult to come by with the specs I want. He let me know what I could expect and the wait times...etc. Same day he reached out to me that very close to what I want was en route and available. Felt like a bait. I was connected to Saul, the manager or some other title. Who followed up with me and I had small hopes of this happening but a week later the car was ready! Edward stuck around until late in the evening and when I showed up his energy and demeanor was awesome. Before talking about price, purchase, payment, etc we just hung out by the car going over features and what not. I expected him to hurry the process since it was late but he took his time and I actually enjoyed the process of getting the car. The finance manager Sal (without a "u") was great too. Friendly, informative, and I didn't get any elaborate sales tactics with warranties and stuff. It was late but I did not feel rushed. Edward stuck around until the end to send us off. I can't stand dealerships and their system of selling cars has always been painful no matter the company, used or new, buying or leasing. But Sunrise Ford really was a great experience. Thank you Edward and Sal. Gabriel was cool too but he was the one that took my money so I can't be THAT excited about him. read more

I would give zero star if possible. We towed our car to the dealership and got an estimate from State Farm. The checks were issued. The insurance company wanted to get some used parts from vendors detailed in the estimate. Sunrise Ford kept on telling us that they are waiting for the insurance company to send parts. Insurance company says it is the job of the shop to get those parts as detailed in the estimate. Nobody told us about this, except that they are waiting for the parts. A month has gone by. Mr. Nava cannot be reached for days. Even after leaving messages every day and being reassured that they will call us. This is the least helpful experience we have had in over 30 years of owning cars and getting them repaired. read more

If it hadn't been for the good customer service it would be 1 star. I came here just for an inspection of my 2014 ford mustang, transmission and "the works" (oil change, etc...), and also had a brake fluid flush and topped off. Bill was 500$+, but as I get the call that it's all good and I go to pick it up, I get in and review the paperwork (all good). I start the car and reverse and my steering wheel is locked, I try to call someone and they put the blame on me for not replacing a transmission for 8000$, even though that's obviously not the problem. I try and try and it just won't work, have to leave it there now. And somehow an inspection has caused a problem, great. read more

Make sure when you drop off your vehicle for service you make sure your belongs are with you. Someone or some of them are thieves that work there in the service department. I dropped of my company vehicle here for service as I have for years and one of their employees took the company gas card out the truck and used it. This is upsetting as I have been coming here for over 20 years. It has been a WEEK and we not received a single offer or update for what the dealership will offer for the truck or What actual needs to be fixed. Which I also have a more serious issue with this Sunrise Ford.... I was going to wait to receive an offer before bringing this up... but it doesn't look like that is going to happen.... When we dropped off this vehicle there was a gas card in the center console. On the Saturday/Sunday someone at Sunrise Ford had taken the gas card out of the center console and ran up $190+ dollars on it. We are still in the process of fighting with the credit card company that it was fraudulent. So far.. we asked for a quote for repair work and had advised Sunrise Ford that the Starter had just been replaced 3 months ago... And Sunrise Ford advises us that the starter needs to be replaced? As if the car wasn't even inspected to see that it was new... At which point I was starting to feel like Sunrise Ford was screwing us over... Than Sunrise Ford takes over a week to get back to us with a price... Than come to find out Sunrise Ford legit stole something out of the car.... Horrible Service! read more
