This is a nice spot if you're looking for a traditional breakfast. Overall, the food was decent, though I think it has room for improvement. I wish the chocolate chip pancake had more chocolate, the breakfast potatoes had a bit more seasoning, and the bread was fresher since it tasted a little stale. That said, I think this restaurant has a lot of potential and it's in a great location. The highlight of our visit was the service--Kevin was absolutely amazing and one of the most attentive servers we've had in a long time. His friendly and attentive service made the experience much more enjoyable. We'd definitely come back to try some different items on the menu and see what else they have to offer.

This French toast was one of the best I've ver had! Perfectly soft but not soggy. Biscuit in the biscuits and gravy was made to perfection! Everything was a 10/10. The staff was so friendly and quick to attend to us even on a busy Sunday morning

So. We parked on Main Street, thinking this place was closer. Nope, but well worth the walk. The walk back was nice as our bellies were full. Bennys were delicious! Potatoes were alright, but they were the side so no big deal. Burger was a high 7/8 - my husband was a little overwhelmed by all the flavors going on. The Mexican coffee was yummy. We will be back!

My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday morning around 8:30 and were seated right away! Our server Cassie greeted us almost immediately and was friendly and attentive from start to finish. She really made the experience. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, substituting bacon for ham, with a biscuit and gravy on the side. The Eggs Benedict was good. I loved the unexpected touch of Swiss cheese, which added a nice twist to a classic dish. The hollandaise was a little on the sour side, but the bacon was cooked perfectly. The biscuit and gravy was the real star of my meal, so good that I almost wish I had ordered it as my main! Definitely getting that next time. My husband went for The Big Ass Sandwich and loved it. Fair warning- it lives up to its name. It's big, it's messy, and it's absolutely worth it. He said the same thing I was thinking: we need to come back. We'll definitely be returning on our next trip to Fredericksburg. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great breakfast spot with good food and even better service!

This is our favorite brunch in Fred. Sam has taken care of us many times and she's wonderful! The whole staff here is top notch. They updated their porch to have more coverage which will be great once summer really hits. Inside is great too. We've sat in all the areas. We went all out for our brunch date (mom & dad time out). Cold brew with vanilla, caramel iced latte... yummmm! We started with zucchini fries and they were hot, crunchy and delicious. I had the brunch burger (it was huge!) with sweet potato fries. I love their sweet potato fries. Husband tried the special- biscuit love - says it's good for anyone who loves gravy and brunch dessert was the banana French toast - we got the banana on the side and a side of berries. Yum yum yum. Soft and pillowy. Thank you Sam! See you soon :)

This place is bustling! Even on a Monday morning (granted, it was spring break for many), but plan accordingly as there could be a wait. There's not a lot of parking either; it's like random fields/areas. The overall size of the restaurant isn't all that big either, so be aware of how noisy it could be. Anyway, we ordered a couple pancake plates that were larger in size. Kids said they were fine. Another ordered the eggs and bacon, which consisted of two eggs, a little bacon, toast, and some potatoes. Nothing ground breaking, but seemed sufficient. I ordered the TBLTA, which was a turkey sandwich, bacon, and avocado. The portion seemed reasonable for the price. Overall, the food was good for what it was and the place was turning tables like nobody's business.

Worth the wait, the line is long but the food is so good! They have a cute patio, and the airing area is accommodating where you can sip a cocktail while you wait for your table! The grilled biscuit and bacon are my go to, but get the banana French toast for the table...it's so good but a little sweet to eat on your own. You won't leave hungry, portions are substantial, and the word watching is always fun...full of girls trips, bridesmaids, people recovering from a fun evening out, and plenty of families of all ages!

Loved it! It's been a number of years since our last visit. At that time, they were in a different location. This location is SO much better. Lots of seating - indoors and outdoors. Dog friendly outdoors too. The service - wow. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Our server, Maria A was amazing. We arrived about 9:30 AM on a Monday morning. Being a holiday, Presidents' Day, it was quite busy. I thought we'd have to wait quite a while but surprisingly there were some open tables inside. Being a nice sunny morning a lot of the outdoor seating was pretty full. Our party of four was seated quickly. Water came, followed quickly by coffee. Someone was always making the rounds with the coffee pot. That was nice. My wife and I shared a breakfast as follows: - California omelette with sourdough toast - Single pancake with blueberries I'd say the omelette was decent. Four out of five. It had good flavor. The way they make them here is slightly dry, but still decent. Next time I'll ask for mine to be less dry on the outside. The pancake was really good. Nice and fluffy and flavorful. We're so happy we returned to Sunset Grill for breakfast this year and we look forward to eating there on our next visit to Fredericksburg.

We kicked off our bachelorette trip with brunch at Sunset Grill, and while it didn't blow us away, it was a solid start to a fun weekend! First, the vibes: the restaurant is cozy and charming -- exactly the kind of spot you'd want for a relaxed girls' brunch. Our waitress was sweet, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we sat down. Now, the food was a bit of a mixed bag. The bacon? Absolutely on point -- crispy, savory, no notes. And the Mexican coffee was a delightful surprise -- rich, flavorful, and the perfect way to ease into the morning. The French toast had a great foundation, but I was hoping for more of a true banana foster experience -- caramelized, charred bananas with a glossy glaze. Instead, the bananas came as-is, which felt like a missed opportunity to really elevate the dish. A little time in the pan would go a long way! The breakfast potatoes were the low point -- they came out a little overcooked and underseasoned, which is an easy fix but made them hard to get excited about. Overall, Sunset Grill has a lot of charm and the service was genuinely warm.

Sunset grill was a great post-winery hungover breakfast. Food is decent but the vibes are impeccable. We were on the patio and had amazing service despite it being so so busy.

This became our go to brunch spot when we are in Fredricksburg. We were seated immediately because they have a ton of tables, which is a huge plus in this town. We sat on the dog-friendly patio and the service was incredibly quick. The food was 10/10--everything tasted so fresh. I highly recommend the Señorita Omelette (it's loaded with veggies and super flavorful) and the Avocado Toast, which was absolute fire. Don't skip the fresh-squeezed juices! Plus, plenty of parking out front made the whole experience stress-free.

Cute cafe with more of a diner feel inside, but they have a big outdoor patio with plenty of seating. The menu has plenty of options, making it so hard to choose from because everything sounds so good. I got the yogurt and granola bowl, wow it was really fresh and a pretty big portion. My mom ordered the TBLTA and she really liked it, plus the vinaigrette on her salad was so good! Highly recommend giving this place a try.

This was definitely a "locals" bar, but the staff made me feel comfortable. The food took a while to come out, but when it did, it was fresh and hot. Everything tasted ok, but the burger and onion rings, which had been recommended by the bartender, were really good. The bar was well stocked, and the beer was cold. They had plenty of patio seating, and they host live music. The bar area and the bathrooms are in need of some TLC. Parking on Main Street can be a challenge. Our server was friendly, but there were a few communication hiccups throughout the meal. We were served bottled water without being told there was a charge, which caught us off guard since most nearby restaurants offer complimentary water. The server also offered chips and salsa as we were handed menus, so it sounded like a complimentary starter, but it's actually $10 on the menu. After waiting about 40 minutes, we decided to cancel the order (which turned out hadn't been entered anyway). Service was pleasant but inconsistent. One of our friends arrived a few minutes after us and ordered coffee right away, but her cup didn't come out until well after ours, and when it did, the cup wasn't very clean. Also worth noting that gratuity is automatically added for parties of six or more, and they don't split checks. We accidentally double-tipped, but the manager was kind and quickly resolved it. On the plus side, the space is casual, dog-friendly, and has plenty of shaded outdoor seating. The food was the highlight. My Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich was flavorful with crispy fries, my husband's Hideaway Burger was cooked well, and our friend's Chicken & Waffles were tasty, though a bit heavy on the waffle and light on the chicken. Overall, the food and atmosphere were good, but the lack of transparency around pricing and a few service missteps made the experience less smooth than it could've been. Decent spot, but I'd probably try somewhere else next time.

We had Kristen as our server, she was so attentive and sweet. To start we tried the sweet cornbread, lavender mint lemonade, and regular lemonade. The lavender mint lemonade was one of the best drinks I've had in a while. For our meals he had the BLTA with fries and I had the avocado and lime salad with tri tip steak. Absolutely stellar food, quality ingredients and great flavors. We had leftovers for sure, lol, something to eat on the drive back to DFW the next day. For dinner, we sat outside and had Jess as our server. She was also really nice, she had quite a few tables and still managed to give us plenty of attention. We had carnitas nachos and the ground beef soup. The carnitas nachos are... unnecessarily large. lol Luckily the soup bowl was very small so I was able to help the boyfriend with some nachos. But my small effort was not enough and he tapped out of the nachos at the halfway mark. Highly recommend the nachos if you have four friends with you. =D This was a great restaurant with a lovely outdoor space. Unfortunately, this experience felt less like a restaurant opening and more like a dress rehearsal no one stopped. First problem: location confusion. We went to what turned out to be their second spot--which, crucially, was not called Nurys on the sign. Same ownership, new space, old identity crisis. Walking in felt like entering a building that hadn't yet decided what it wanted to be when it grew up. The lingering aroma? A strange duet of fish, antiseptic, and industrial cleaning agents. Not hunger-inducing. More "urgent care with a fryer." There was no one there, which made sense--it was between brunch and lunch--but somehow the wait for food felt disproportionately long for what arrived. What arrived, sadly, was mediocrity wearing a Tex-Mex costume. They seemed to be aiming for Tex-Mex but landed somewhere closer to Tex-Flex--stretching flavors thin until they snapped. The barbacoa was fatty in a way that suggested less "slow-cooked tradition" and more "glistening regret." It didn't taste authentic, or even especially intentional. Just heavy. The guacamole--perhaps the most unforgivable offense--was bad. Guacamole is avocados, salt, lime, and love. That's it. This had none of the above. The waitstaff wasn't rude, exactly--just possessed by the clear energy of people who would prefer you to finish quickly so they could resume their real lives. Hospitality should feel like an invitation, not a countdown. Now, maybe the original Nurys is wonderful. I hope it is. But if that's the case, why open a second location only to phone it in? Expansion should mean excellence multiplied, not care divided. There are too many good places in Fredericksburg doing things right to settle for something half-hearted. This one wasn't terrible--it was worse. It was forgettable. And that's the real disappointment.

Our waitress, Scarlett, greeted us immediately and brought out water and bread with butter while we looked over the menu. And let me just say... the butter. OMG. Apparently it's the chef's secret recipe (and he won't share), but it's made with pecans and is honestly one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted. It's legit like ice cream. I initially tried to order a specific Cabernet Sauvignon that was unfortunately out, but chose another option instead, a Napa Valley Cab I believe from Groth Winerty, and it was absolutely delicious. Rich and robust. For appetizers, we ordered the Enchanted Mushroom, which had an incredible smoky flavor and was outstanding, along with the beef tartare, which was also excellent. Both appetizers were generously portioned and very satisfying. My pics make it look smaller than it was because I had to hold the camera back for portrait mode. For our entrées, I had the chicken fried steak and my husband ordered the filet. His filet came out cooked exactly as requested- rare to medium-rare- and was perfect. My chicken fried steak was cooked beautifully, though I will say the breading on top was a bit over-salted. And I love salt, but even for me it was a bit much. Aside from that, the dish was very well prepared. We finished by sharing the butterscotch crème brûlée, which was absolutely incredible. Deliciousness in every single bite. Scarlett was fantastic throughout the entire meal, striking the perfect balance of attentiveness without hovering. Overall, this place is awesome, and we will definitely be back!
