I recently moved from San Diego to Texas. I had a really bad experience moving from Texas to San Diego after I (unknowingly) used a broker service for the move. It was a mess that caused me to not receive my stuff for almost two weeks. I did some research online and found Sunshine Moving Services. They had really good reviews across the board. The main things I was looking for were obviously reliability but also a company that could promise a delivery date. I spoke with Madi and did a virtual walkthrough of my place. The process was super easy. Madi gave me a quote and promised that my requested delivery date would not be a problem. He told me that they are not brokers, that they own their own business and that when you hire them, they are actually doing the work. I actually had a few more estimates lined up but after speaking with Madi I felt really reassured and committed to them. Their estimate was VERY reasonable, especially considering it was a cross country move AND I was requesting them to pack my stuff for me. The day of the move they came out with their crew and packed up the house for me. They did a really great job and were very careful with both my things and the house I was moving out of. Two days later Mike (one of their guys who helped pack the house) met me at my new location with the truck containing my things that he had driven himself out from San Diego. He worked with a local crew to unload everything. Mike was so friendly and professional. He made sure everything was unloaded to my liking, made sure my beds were assembled, and just overall wanted to be sure that I was happy with the work. Just an incredibly nice, polite guy and an even more incredibly hard worker. After he was done we settled the contract. The final price was not a single penny above my estimate. This is my third time moving cross country and this was by far the best moving company I've ever used. The whole team is so friendly and professional. They really just want to do a good job for you and for a really fair price. I cannot recommend them enough for any move, no matter how big, small, far, or local. Fantastic job today from Sunshine Movers. We moved from Point Loma all the way to Temecula. It was a lot of work! The 3x guys were hardworking conscientious and very polite. They quoted 5 hours but finished in 4, even having to move heavy and bulky items up to a 3rd floor apartment. Good Morning Sunshine !! I used this company to move our 3 bedroom apartment and I was very happy with the crew and their services. My first interaction was with Madi responding to my inquiry. Madi asked for a few photos of what needed to be moved and I sent them to him and then he was able to give me a quote. Madi took the time to break the quote down and suggested that I hire 3 movers for a slightly higher hourly rate instead of 2 that may end up going over the 3 hr minimum, Madi felt like it was going to be more expensive with just 2 movers. I hired 3 and in the end it was the the right decision. The 3 movers showed up on time, they were very friendly and professional and very hard working. I had 5 steps down to my apartment and 5 up and then once you reach my front door a flight of 12 steps up. The movers were able to move our entire apartment along with wrapping certain items, load up and drive from Pacific Beach to Rancho Bernardo and then unload everything and only went over the 3 hr min by 20 mins. So impressed and so hard working. The communication was excellent from the first call to the company. I was informed when the movers were on their way as well. When it came time to pay the transaction went very smooth with no surprise charges. It was a real pleasure working with this company. No stress, no pressure just straight forward pricing with no bs. These guys worked almost non stop from 8:30am to 5:30pm moving our entire four bedroom home. They were like machines. And SO nice, polite, helpful throughout the long day. We weren't as packed and ready to go as we'd hoped to be, but somehow they got everything to our new house, including the disaster zone in our garage. They were super careful not to scuff things, they took things apart and put them back together, and they were careful to make sure the important stuff (like the screws and manual to the baby crib) were easily located. I am extremely pleased and happy with this company! From start to finish, Ben, Stan and the other guys were amazing... super helpful, very polite, went out of their way to make things easy, very thorough, and a pleasure to have help with my move. They came out and did a review and estimate. They were able to tell me if all of my items would fit into their truck of a specified size. Their pricing is very fair. The day before moving day, they came and loaded up the truck, making sure all the furniture was padded and safe. They packed the truck really well, maximizing every inch of the vehicle to be able to hold the maximum amount of items. Then on moving day, they took the mattress and any remaining items. They drove the truck for 25 hours to get to my new destination and brought my items over to unload exactly when I wanted them, with bed, set up an furniture set up included. There was one very fair price, with no additional charges, and no hidden fees. The use of wardrobe boxes was included, as well as all the blankets and packing wraps and they used to keep my items safe. Because of them my out of state move was so much easier and went very smoothly. I recommend the guys at Sunshine highly! read more
