i Slice pizza has $5 slices which you order at a convenient kiosk. Zero human interaction yet the kiosk charged me $1 tip so total came closer to $7 for one slice after tax. The slices were not large but the flavor was ok. Don't get the sausage. It's square-shaped. The mushrooms were thinly sliced. The dough was light and crunchy, not doughy or fluffy. read more

When I walk in the mall to increase my step count I often have a bite to eat. This food court does not have a lot of choices; they did, but now there are three empty stations. I suppose that fewer selections mean fewer customers. There is certainly room for people to sit, the room is clean and modern looking Hopefully, they will find new tenets. I might be wrong, but I think most of the remaining tenets are franchises. I hate to think that people who put their dreams and money to open a business here would have to leave because the mall management doesn't even advertise there is a food court. There were a couple of great spots to eat; they were evicted to make-way for this empty court. read more

I came here on a weekday with my friends during my lunch break and I'd have to say that I enjoyed this place! The mall itself wasn't really poppin, but I really only came to get food. Parking: Easy because there's literally no one at the mall, I even came on a weekend once and there's a bazillion slots and it's free parking so I don't know if this was just because it was a weekday or what, but like all of the food places were offering free samples to try and persuade you. I have to say it was one of the most difficult choices I had to make (food wise). I ended up going with Chicken Connection because their chicken sample was just delicious and a very generous size!! I got a burbon burger and it was absolutely DELICIOUS!! The chicken was well cooked and sauced, it was like eating Hawaiian BBQ on a burger. It also was a very reasonable price! The only sad part was the plate that it was served on because it was foam and floppy, but I guess I forgot to pick up a try to carry the food. But as long as I didn't drop it, it's okay! I would have given the place 5 stars because the workers were also really nice! But since it's an overall food court review, I didn't want to speak for everyone else. read more

Not a lot of selection when 3 food booths are closed, Chicken Connection, Cilantro, and Pizza Studio. Add to that the homeless in the seating area makes for an unappetizing dining experience. The restaurants outside the mall are much better. The anchor stores are still here, Macy's JC Penny, and Sears (for how long who knows?), but many of the smaller stores aren't upscale as in Walnut Creek. 30 years ago this mall was still rather upscale. What's a "Mall" without a "true" food court? That's what I use to always ask myself when visiting the Sunvalley Shopping Center or "Concord Mall" for those of us that's been around this place for awhile and like to call it like it is. But that's nither here nore there. This mall has everything right in terms of everything else, Clothing, Jewlery, Make Up, Shoe Stores ect. But the food court was always the missing link here. This was one of few malls that had restarunts scattered every which way instead of in one centralized location. But now that has all changed....The "Concord Mall" now has a "Food Court" and here is what I have to say about it. 6/29/16 I came to window shop a bit with my homie. It was a pretty warm day out in Concord. I was pretty thirsty and hungry and my homie mentioned to me that the "Food Court" was finally done! I had been waiting and anticipating the opening of this food court since its planning and them taking out one of my favorite Korean spots in favor of this food court. So I was hoping for something really good and impressive. Food Options 3/5 Food Court 4/5 Cleanliness 5/5 The Food Court and Food: This Food Court is pretty nice, pretty spacious..maybe a bit too spacious in my opinion. But maybe they made it spacious knowing that holiday season is just around the corner. So I'm sure that was in the planning of this food court. The disappointing part of this food court was the "Food" offerings here with only.."Six" restaurants. Considering the space, I had wished maybe at least "Ten" restaurants would be present here, but it is what it is. I ate at a place called "Lotus Express" it was a Chinese/Vietnamese Fusion establishment. They don't have a "Yelp" bookmark yet so I will do a formal review when they get one. But I had a 3 item combo there (See pic for prices) and the food was decent and out of the offerings at the food court in my opinion. Will I go back? Sure, it's there and gives shoppers, diners.."Yelpers" six more options for food than what mall already had. And plenty of seating and "Free" WiFi for those that like to take a break from shopping and eating. In Conclusion, this food court was long overdue for this mall and its a good thing they finally have one. With all the businesses in the area, it's going to be a prefect place for people to go to on their lunch breaks. Located on the lower, westside of the mall (JC Penny side) it has access to the outside parking lot/garage area. It's pretty chic and hip and great even for maybe having a impromptu business meeting..date or just hanging out. So as always if you come here, "Yelp" your own opinion. And use the wifi if you don't have unlimited minuets on your phone plan. read more

I was going to give 1 Star but my husband and I had food at 2 different places so... it averages to 3. 5 stars for Charley's Philly Steaks: they have Dr. Pepper & their subs are hot and tasty and actually full of flavor. Speaking of flavor - the spot I chose was Lotus Express. Apparently they don't know what flavor is. Their fried rice was awful. It was clumpy and tasted old. How does it taste old? It just does. Not even JUST stale - but like if you walked into a haunted house and somehow took the essence of old spiders and dust and ghosts and wrap them all up together to make a spice you sold on shelves. Like that. The orange chicken was alright. Mostly. There were pieces that were good and some that were bad. I really tried to power through it but eventually gave up. The sweet and sour... pork? chicken? (there is no signage for you to be able to tell what it's supposed to be) was more breading than any sort of meat. Then the egg roll was what you would expect old cabbage with a little bit of pepper to taste like if it was soggy and left out in the sun for 3 days. I hate to leave bad reviews but I couldn't let this stand. Hopefully this was a fluke and maybe their food is better. Or maybe someone will make them see this review and they improve somehow. read more

However's I idea it was to open a food court that only serves four different kinds of chicken is an idiot. You have the entire food court owned by the same people and yet one of their businesses is always closed. Charley's is the only good place to eat, as well as the only one who didn't have a huge RAT problem in the mall. Your food court is fast it failing and needs to be rethought. Bring back the old food court were people actually got to enjoy a good meal, as well as have a choice on if they wanted to eat chicken four different ways. read more

First time visiting the remodeled version of the food court. It was surprisingly bright, roomy and modern. Walked restaurant row trying to decide what to eat- had a good sample from the pizza shop- the friendly young lady described it as like Pieology. We ended up ordering Chinese, Japanese and Mexican food. Was a little disappointed as the beef in the tacos tasted like the beef in the other two places. It's almost like they cook it all together in a back kitchen, then transfer it to the individual restaurants to add sauce or whatever. One chunk had a big piece of gristle(?) in it. I suppose if I didn't have such high hopes after walking in, then I wouldn't have been expecting more. Prices aren't bad, but fyi, soda refills are .50 each. I'm looking forward to trying the ramen place when it opens in a few months. read more

Giving the new food court this rating. I think all of these restaurants are manufactured, meaning it is own by one company and using the same food but prepared differently. Suki Hana- You get better deal at Safeway for their sushi. Lotus Express and Suki Hana- Go to Panda Express or Mongolian BBQ, you get better for you rmoney. read more
