Hands down the best homemade style Mexican food just like mama use to make . There were four of us: 1. Chile verde omelette 2. Chile verde "enchilada style " burrito 3. Menudo ( breakfast of champions ) 4. Chilaquilas omelette All four entries were excellent , filling , seasoned just right and there were leftovers. I love Mexican food! Was craving a burrito specifically all day and went here for lunch. I've actually passed by this place a lot in the past and finally decided to try this place out. Parking is pretty good as well and came here in the afternoon and noticed that there wasnt that much people in here waiting for food or ordering food. Weird how I have big meal cravings in the times that in between meals. Anyway as soon as I came in, I was greeted with a warm welcome from the waiter and he had me sit down. I looked through their burrito menu and ordered me some carne asada burrito! I noticed that there was an option to make it wet as well so I ordered that as an extra. The burrito came within 5 minutes and wow...it smelled sooooo good that it made my mouth water. I ate it with a knife and fork of course and as soon as I sliced the burrito, I noticed the toppings inside did not avalanche out like how other burritos do in which I noticed the toppings did stay intact. The first bite was delicious! I didnt any carne asada in the first bite but a few bites later that's when carne asada started to fill my mouth and oh man....the carne asada here is soooo good! i was really ready to give this place a 5* on the al pastor burrito +guac alone. i don't know if they always add beans or not but i asked for no beans (get them on the side, they are good) and it took me back to high school in san diego -- just perfect, exactly the way i like it so in our excitement, we've ordered from here multiple times afterward but didn't enjoy ourselves as much as that first time. - the all american burrito really tastes like american breakfast in tortilla, and if that's what you want, this hits the nail on the head - the carne asada fries are about as good as everywhere else in the area; not my favorite, but to be fair, my expectations are very high for these - the mole enchiladas; the chicken inside was completely unseasoned, and maybe that's the way it's supposed to be because the mole sauce should be the star. but it made for a strange dish, with the outside being very flavorful and inside very bland and perhaps stringy. the mole sauce itself was good but was missing the complexity i was hoping to get from a really deep sauce. to be fair, that, too, isn't available just anywhere nearby, and so my hunt continues salsas are good but not so good that i just want to down a bowl full of it; though others might disagree because i see people asking for as much as they can get away with every single time i go in thank you for the meals! i'm sure we'll be back again read more

My husband and I came here on a Friday night and I rushed us bc you know, HH is very important to me. The burrito ranchero with barbocoa was excellent. Their complimentary salsa was the right level of spice although I did add more hot sauce. I enjoy dunking the complimentary tortilla chips in the salsa and guacamole. Can't wait to come back! I need to mentally prepare the sound ambiance though. Sometimes there's screaming kids. Sometimes the kitchen clanking noises get louder and you find yourself screaming across the table. My family and I came in for dinner time before heading to the Orange County Fair nearby. Coming in it was busy but we were seated after 5 minutes of waiting. In the menu under house specialties I went with the "Carne Asada" ($15). I did like how they thinly cut the meat strips served on the plate which makes it easier to eat. The grilled onion toppings was good and there was lots of it. However, the carne asada tasted okay and I was hoping they would come out tastier, but it was a little on the dry side. Included is tortillas, beans and rice. Overall, not too bad it was slightly above average. During the experience I was hooked on to their house salsa, especially when having them with our complimentary nachos. The salsa was pretty good it has a smokey flavor to it as well. My wife ordered the "Shrimp Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo" ($17). All I can say she enjoyed them due to the garlic flavor marinade on the shrimps, my son really like these too. Our server was friendly. The only thing missed is when we asked for our check, it awhile for our server to follow-up. Other than that, we were satisfied with our meals. I do believe during dinner time the plates can be expensive but they do offer lunch specials under $10. Super Antojitos doesn't get straight A's but a B grade would do just fine. read more

The first few bites were soooo good!! And then I had something hard in my mouth, and small. I spit it out, and it was a shard of glass. That small of a piece of glass means there is broken glass in the kitchen. It could be in anything, I have no idea what part of my burrito the glass was from. We stopped eating right away. It is a sharp curved piece of glass, no idea what would have happened if I swallowed that!!!!!!!!! I had to give them one star or I could not post. read more

This casual Mexican restaurant was pretty good! We were in the area wanting to try something new. I ordered the wet burrito and I customized it to get half green half red sauce! The sauces were so good! Great variety. I got carne asada which was pretty good but I wish I would have gotten the carnitas because it was more flavorful. My boyfriend got the combo with a carnitas hard shell taco and the chili relleno. It comes with rice and beans. The best part of working at my job on weekends is that we can order POSOLE!! One of my nursing staff has been recommending Super A's for months now so that has become our posole spot! I love it when it comes with some parts of the bone. The soup is flavorful and with chunks of port and hominy. They also give you all the garnishing like like, oregano, cabbage and onion. Add it all, or makes a difference in the best way. One thing i like about their soup is it has the right balance of broth and fat, some places really make it greasy but super makes it just right. I've been frequenting this Super As location for quite some time and it's my go-to place if I'm craving a little taste of home. It's even received the approval of my mom, who has a full-proof system in judging the authenticity of a Mexican food place by their salsa (which comes with chips and is complimentary). My husband and I used to live closer to this place, but now that it's further, we will go typically go for their Taco Tuesdays ($1.40 a taco). I usually stick with their Al Pastor tacos, but their Barbacoa and Carnitas tacos are also good. And you can't beat the $2 Tecates, which they will pour into a "preparado" (lime and salt) cold glass--yumm! Aside from Taco Tuesday, steer away from their street tacos!! The meat is poorly seasoned and the tortillas look like they've been microwaved or something. I hope that one day they offer their quality Taco Tuesday street tacos every day of the week. Another tasty dish is their Molcajete! I usually opt to substitute the chorizo for an extra piece of carne asada, but there's nothing wrong with the quality or taste of the chorizo-- I just love my carne asada. My husband and I will usually share this dish and it's more than enough food! Paired with a Michelada... perfection! The service is also great here! I'm so glad I finally stopped here. Not only is the food delicious and authentic, the prices are reasonable. They serve fresh chips and bean dip there...takes me back to my grandpA's home. Yum! The service was quick and they were polite. It wasn't too loud and the restaurant was full so that's cool (we sat in the little room in the front, so that may have helped). Unfortunately they serve primarily Pepsi products, however they do sell Mexican Coca-Cola in the TALL glass bottle, but it's $3.50 and obviously no complimentary refills. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Orange County. It's not fancy. If you're hungry for great food, Super A's is for you. If you are into nouveau style stuff and haute decor, it isn't. I'd like to take home quarts of their table salsa. The different sauces they serve with their specialty burritos are awesome. The shrimp a la Diabla is so spicy it's almost too much for me, and I order off menu spice level when I eat at Thai restaurants. Made my eyes water and my nose run, just the way I like it.
