Surprisingly, the owner caught me speaking Cantonese and I went at it with that. Which was very cool. They are bilingual here, so just order like you regularly do. Only thing about this spot are the prices. Most steepest dim sum price I've seen, even compared to L.A. They start at about $7.50 for each dim sum. Quality is good though and portions are pretty good. Parking is open in a shared lot. Come if you're in the area, but if you're looking for the teapot style dim sum restaurant , this is not the place. It's quite small.

There was so much extra breading that I ripped most of it off and tossed it, and the sausage was a bit dry. It was barely 10 am on a Saturday and the restaurant was completely packed. It did not feel like 10 am. They brought my trays downstairs for me on a cart and waited for me to pull my car up, which was a nice extra touch. I'll have to dine in here one day and when I do, I'm going to avoid the breaded food items because they are so filling and heavy. Stairs and an elevator to the 2nd level of the building where the restaurant is located. Iced water dispenser and disposable cups at the entrance. The staff interaction was minimal. The only times were when we entered, they told us to pick anywhere to sit, and when they came out with the food. Everything else was done on your mobile device.

My experience at Super Dumpling in Orange was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. My party arrived about 10 minutes before their noon opening and were the second customers seated when the restaurant opened. The restaurant quickly filled up, and we placed our order right away: four main dishes and two side dishes. Unfortunately, the problems started immediately. The restaurant itself appeared dirty and poorly maintained. There was a long black hair on the chair next to where I was seated, and we later found a short black hair in one of our dipping sauces. When we brought the hair in the sauce to our server's attention, he simply removed the sauce without apology, explanation, or offering a replacement. Throughout the restaurant, there were visible food splatters on the walls, which made the environment feel unsanitary, unappetizing, and frankly quite gross. About 35 minutes after ordering, the only food we received was our two side dishes (chicken fried rice and cucumbers). None of our four main dishes had arrived. After waiting another 10 minutes, our server told us the food should be out shortly. Five minutes later, we asked another server to check on our order. We were then told there had been some sort of Wi-Fi issue and that our food would be coming soon. Meanwhile, we watched multiple tables around us receive all of their food, including several tables that had arrived well after we did. It was obvious that something had gone wrong with our order, yet nobody seemed interested in addressing it. After nearly 50 minutes, we still had not received any of our main dishes. At no point did a manager come to speak with us, apologize, or explain what was happening. We finally told our server that we wanted to leave and asked for the bill. To make matters worse, there was no discount, no gesture of goodwill, and no apology. We were charged the full amount for the two side dishes (about $25) and were treated as though the staff was irritated that we had canceled our order rather than understanding why we were frustrated. I understand that restaurants can get busy and mistakes happen. What I cannot understand is the complete lack of communication, accountability, customer service, and basic cleanliness. Between the excessive wait, the missing food, the hair in our sauce, the dirty dining area, and the indifferent attitude from the staff and management, this was a thoroughly disappointing experience. Based on this visit, I would NEVER return and cannot recommend this restaurant! read more

I came to this restaurant for the first time and everything went great! The host and the server were very friendly. My family and I ordered the shrimp siu mai, pan fried beef buns, sesame balls, and spring rolls. The shrimp siu mai tasted so good! I can mostly taste the shrimp, and that's the best part, in my opinion! Next, let's talk about the beef buns. The broth is sweet, and the beef itself is tasty. I really liked the bread, or dough. The top part tasted sweet, like a dessert. The bottom part tasted and felt like the texture of the spring rolls. Oh, and let me tell you, the beef buns are huge. Looking at the photos, I expected them to be size of those toy mouses or a fortune cookie. But hey, that's fine! The sesame balls were good, though it's not my cup of tea. I do appreciate the fact it has mochi inside! The spring rolls tasted awesome! It tastes better with the orange looking sauce the server gave us. I believe it's called the sweet and sour sauce, or so my mom says. To me, it tasted like an average spring roll without the sauce. Finally, the environment. It seems to be giving a modern vibe. The portions are big, fresh, and full of flavor. They also give you a paper menu where you can choose everything yourself, which makes ordering easy and fun. Food is good not great but good enough for a dumpling, chinese or taiwanese craving. The decor reminds me of a 1950s soda shop lots of pink. They have an average selection. They limited dumpling selection. Many of it with combination of veggies that such as my husband doesn't eat so we were limited to the beef and green onion. They are juicy but flavorful not really. They are handmade that is the positive part but i felt like more stuffing should be inside of it. it was way more dumpling than stuffing. For me it's gotta be stuffed good. The mongolian beef was okay more onions and scallions then I normally would want, the orange chicken or bad lots of sauce and spice chicken it was okay not as meaty. The green beans were delish i have to say. Overall pricing doesn't fit the portions little pricey but this is not always going to be my go to place maybe once a year. Despite being a halal restaurant, they have no respect for the Muslim community. My family and I placed our names on the waitlist and left a message on the form stating we have members of our family who are fasting, so if they could seat us as soon as possible we would greatly appreciate it. You would think that they would be considerate, but they were not. When our name got to the 6th family on the list, all of a sudden it dropped to the 8th. And when we inquired about this, the workers tried to gaslight us into thinking others put their name down before us. These people are super inconsiderate and have a horrible way of seating people. If they plan on staying busy at least they should be organized in how they seat people. Entirely disappointed in this restaurant. What a shame. read more

Terrible service! We gave them another try since opening night was so chaotic and service was so very slow. Today was even worse and They were not busy. We ordered takeouts at the counter and said we would come back and pick it up I a few minutes. When we got back, they couldn't find our orders and then they discovered they delivered it to someone in the restaurant eating at a table. They delivered it all wrapped up to go. The people that they had delivered it to decided to keep it and eat it there at the table! Hope you enjoyed our food! The restaurant said it would take another 20 minutes to make another order and didn't even offer to discount it. Such terrible service. My experience at Super Dumplings was an absolute nightmare. Despite clearly indicating that we were fasting and adding our names to the waitlist, the staff demonstrated a shocking level of incompetence and apathy. Instead of honoring our request to sit inside and break our fast, they callously left us standing in the rain like second-class citizens while shamelessly prioritizing others ahead of us. The blatant disregard for our needs and the disrespectful treatment we received were utterly appalling. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for Super Dumplings, and their incompetence and lack of empathy have left a lasting sour taste. Super Dumpling earns a strong four-star rating thanks to its well-executed dumplings and overall enjoyable experience. The dumplings are clearly the highlight, well made with delicate wrappers and tender, flavorful meat inside. The soup was fine and complemented the meal, though it was not especially memorable. The fried noodles, however, were too dry and could use better seasoning and moisture. Service was friendly, but the wait time was long, taking more than 35 minutes before the first dishes arrived. The ambiance is casual, clean, and comfortable, making it suitable for both families and small groups. Absolutely loved this spot! The handmade dumplings are bursting with authentic flavors, and the spacious dining area is perfect for group gatherings. Must-tries: Beef Pan-Fried Buns (5/5 stars - crispy perfection with juicy filling) Orange Chicken (5/5 stars - that zesty glaze is addictive). I was surprised by how good the food was at this dumpling restaurant. I ended up eating way too much because everything was so delicious! The bill came to about $100 for two people, but it was totally worth it for the quality of the food. Even though they didn't pay me to advertise for them, I couldn't resist recording some footage on my phone to show just how good it was! read more

Super Dumpling is a hidden gem! Everything is halal, thanks to the owner, Jaan, a Chinese Muslim who brings a unique blend of flavors. The orange chicken, chicken noodles, and rice are standouts - amazing taste! Service is super fast and friendly. Had the pleasure of meeting Jaan and it's clear she takes pride in her food. I drink a lot of broth and am a very soup-driven diner, so I guess it's not a terrible deal, but I can see it being considered a small portion to those who eat more protein and carbs during their meals. At minimum, you can order more food if you're still hungry and the service is consistently friendly. Parking in this area can be stressful, but you'll figure it out if you're patient.

I requested the popcorn chicken with medium heat and it was just spicy enough to leave my tongue tingling slightly. My friend saved an egg roll for me and it was also really good. (The tea by the way was very refreshing.) Now, this was my first time here but I never saw anyone come out to check the dining room or wipe down the tables after the lunch rush. This was especially concerning to me because they had a guy doing work on the windows who put his feet/ shoes on the tables right under said windows. Ewww.
