A relatively new addition to the bustling streets next to Cal. The feeling of a hipster burger joint: order at counter and sit at raised tables on bar stools. Their menu has the feel of a Five-Guys with their single and double burgers being called a mini and a super respectively. FOOD: I got the mini burger with "everything" with grilled onions and a side of garlic fries. There is a side bar with house made dill pickles which I thought were really good. They are sweeter than your average pickle, but still nice and sour. The burger itself was fatty and flavorful. It was charred well for texture points and a decent medium on the inside and still dripping with oil (I hope that image sticks). Additions were aptly complementary to the main show of the burger. Buns were nicely toasted and light, which was a relief looking at how thick they appear. Veges had fresh texture and flavor. Sesame on top for style points. Can add their ketchup and mustard if that is your style. I did and enjoyed the multitude of flavors it gave. Overall, a pretty duper burger; one that I would have again. The garlic fries were also quite tasty. Great garlic flavor and the fries were cut to a nice size for good crispy to soft ratio. Their ketchup is quite good as well and compliments all the flavors as well. I'm not quite sold on the cheese they used yet, but I'm not sure if I enjoyed it more with the cheese or not. It also made it a bit more difficult to eat, but this is weird because I love cheese. Certainly worth a try though, since overall they were pretty good! In the end, it was a good experience. Good burgers, good fries, helpful staff, slightly more pricey than I would want, but I guess that's the cost of a good burger these days. Came to super duper Burgers off of telegraph a few days ago with a friend. First time at this franchise and I was thoroughly impressed! Very spacious area with a great aroma as you enter the building. Plenty of options for drinks including wine and beer also! The burger tastes of high quality meat and is very delicious! The fries are a bit of a thicker cut but still come out crispy and flavorful. The location/franchise is known to have their own homemade pickles, which are more sour than sweet. I'd highly recommend trying some if you like pickles. Super duper burgers also have shakes and ice cream cones that can be dipped into chocolate to coat it with a hard chocolate shell. Thick and creamy. High points for garlic fries. Down points : I understand the place was crowded at dinner time but then what is the point of having pick up zone in the parking lot if they never pick up the phone? Also, $3 for fountain soda is just too much. It's $1.75 in panda express. And I had to go to fountain machine and take it myself because they are too busy. Rarely in Berkeley do you find a restaurant that is this unhealthy, and I really dig it. I've been to Super Duper a couple times in SF, and I'm glad they made their way here. The burgers drip with meat juice, which might be a bit offputting, but it makes them really satisfyingly meaty, even if you might have to use a fork and knife to eat it. I think next time I would go for the mini burger because of how dense the meat is. Milkshakes are large and in a nice diner ish glass. I haven't tried the breakfast at this location yet, but I'll definitely stop by sometime to try it - I love those mini donuts. Thought The Bird on Telegraph was gone for good, but you can get the same bomb fried chicken sandwich being served up at super duper! My personal favorite is the spicy bird, which actually has spice and texture like it's coated in hot sauce, so good. It comes with mayo, slaw and pickles, and the bun holds up all the juices well. It's a little pricey in my opinion for a single sandwich to be $10, but considering there's no chikfila or cheaper alternative for miles you'll definitely enjoy your meal and it's worth it! read more

I've always been a fan of Super Duper so when I realized this location was open and away from the city, I was so happy! I absolutely love the burgers here and the fries. They also serve an oreo milkshake which I'm a fan for! I used to get the mini burgers until one day I was so hungry and ordered the super burger. Let me tell you - they actually taste different! The super burger is way more tastier, juicier, and it's amazing! The cheese burger topped with their sauce, lettuce, tomato and onion is perfect! My boyfriend thinks their burgers are too greasy but I think they're great! Their garlic fries are also amazing! They have ranch, so I definitely suggest asking for it to pair with your french fries. They also have a spicy aoili sauce which is perfect too! If you're a pickle fan (I'm not) try their home made pickles! All my friends enjoy it! I wanted to get something to eat that wasn't a full meal, so decided to stop by here since it is conveniently near UC Berkeley's campus, and ordered a veggie burger with all the free ingredients except for the jalapenos (I'm too weak for spicy food). They do have bathrooms, jug to fill water from, and places to sit indoors, but I opted to get takeout. The food was ready pretty quickly, and remained warm but not hot when I began eating a little while later. Compared to the gigantic sizes you'll see from US establishments, this burger is on the smaller side, but that makes it a good option if you eat smaller portions or aren't super hungry and don't want to awkwardly have only a little bit of already-chewed leftovers. The lettuce was fresh and the patty is a nice firmness, not too soft or hard. I actually ended up eating all of it since it tasted pretty good even though I thought I wasn't hungry. Overall, this is a decent spot if you want to get just a classic burger or pick up something like a milkshake, but if you want many choices of flavors and unusual flavors (especially if you're a vegetarian) you may want to check out other local burger joints instead. read more

Definitely worth it! Despite my one star rating. Consistently good hamburgers and chicken sandwiches, and fantastic chocolate shakes. This is a chain I've seen all over the bay area especially in SF and it's a very nice option to have! I would absolutely recommend adding bacon and avocado to any hamburger or sandwich. The sandwiches / hamburgers overall are all pretty high quality, but are bordering around bland, so the bacon and avocado really helps out. The free pickles are a very nice touch and much appreciated! Great late night hours also, however, I'm giving them just one star because they do not except digital payments. - It's 2019, not 1995 - Whether you use a debit card, or credit card, you have to sign the receipt and it's just annoying. They do have nifty NCR terminals, but don't take digital payments, I'm guessing it's a franchise thing. I'm going to have to talk with the NCR guys to see why they don't have digital payment functionality for a chain as big as them (I work at a bank). In my own personal opinion that was pretty bad decision. Almost forgot - the fries. Hard to mess up but they just taste strange here, they should try for baked potatoes, and then re-attempt Fries. The quality of the food changes each time I go. Sometimes it's really good and sometimes it's not.

Had the "Spicy" fried chicken sando, and it was not even spicy, in fact it was quite bland, it also had no crunch, was greasy, and the texture of the chicken was rubbery and not well cooked. The slaw was good though and so were the pickles, and the bun was light and fluffy, however when the star of the show (in this case the chicken) is absolutely awful, then that's an absolute deal breaker for the entire sandwich. The garlic-cheese fries were well cooked, however the cheese could've been more melted and was cold even though the fries were warm the cheese also taste very different, usually the cheese has a delicious sharp cheddar taste, however today it was very bland and tasted identical to Monterey Jack, which really brought the overall quality way down. For the price of $10 just for the sandwich, the fries were and additional $4, it's not worth it and you can get 2 fried chicken sandos from Popeyes for around $9 which are much better. read more

Came here for the free breakfast from 7-8am a couple weeks ago! Never tried their burgers, but the breakfast sandwich was so tasty and a good break from the bars I eat every morning on the way to class. It also came with a hashbrown-yum! I got there right at 7AM, so the line wasn't too long, but I did have to wait a bit for my food. There's a lot of seating, but not much space near the drink station and where you pick up your food, so you sorta get in people's way. Seasoned, right amount of fat that gives the burger a crunchy edge when cooked well. The fries were perfectly crisp. Vanilla shake was also good, but a tiny bit runny. This place is not cheap. I spent about $15 for a kids meal. However, I see that they are trying to add value with their Fry Happy Hour, and Free Pickles - yum! I'm a sucker for a clean place, and SD is taking the appropriate measures, although the windows may need a scrubbing. Staff seems really nice, and they had a good music selection while I was there.
