If you're looking for a break from In-N-Out, Super Duper Burgers is hands down one of the best burger chains in the city. Unique to the Bay Area, it's one of those special things San Francisco has to offer that you won't find just anywhere. I ordered the Super Burger with cheddar, the Super Shake, and the regular fries at the Laurel Village location on California Street. I've had the garlic fries before but stick to the regular now. The garlic fries are great but let's just say the risk to your breath isn't always worth it. The burger is outrageously juicy, and I mean that as a compliment. Stock up on napkins because it gets everywhere. The meat is never dry and you can taste the fresh ingredients in every bite. I always add cheddar and keep it classic. I did try the Cambozola Blue once but found it a little overpowering for my taste. And as a purist I haven't ventured into bacon, eggs, mushrooms, avocado, or jalapeño territory, but the options are there if you're feeling adventurous. The Super Shake is on the smaller side for $7 but don't go in expecting Jack in the Box sizing. What you do get is quality. The soft serve they use has that natural off-white color that tells you it's the real thing, and I've had the soft serve on its own too which is just as good. Straus organic milk is one of the best and you can taste the difference. The fries are solid. One heads up on the ketchup, it seems to be their own blend and if you're a Heinz loyalist it will taste a little different. Not bad, just different. Service is quick and if you prefer to skip the human interaction entirely they have self serve kiosks which is a nice touch. The ambience is consistent across all their locations and the free pickles are a nice little touch that doesn't go unnoticed. They looked at the name and was questioning and said it in the most normal voice that if i wasnt paying attention, i wouldnt have heard. And said for, just a burger and he said thats what you order right?... like What is with the attitude? I love Super Duper Burgers! My friend introduced me to Super Duper Burgers and ever since then I always went to it whenever I had a craving for a burger. The staff members were friendly. A staff member took my order at the counter and it came out on the counter ready to be picked up quickly. The place is always kept tidy and clean. This location is always busy, but the place has many staff members to make sure the food is brought out in a timely manner and it gets to the correct customer by calling out names on orders. I sat down and took a bite of my burger and it tasted delicious! I ordered a Super Burger with jalapeños, jack cheese, and grilled onions. This particular outlet gives ShakeShack a run for the money with a friendlier cost factor. The outdoor seating is a plus on a nice sunny day. The double pattied burger has good caramelization with a good meat to bun ratio. The fixins are standard but fresh and the fries come out hot and crispy. Fast casual burger spot. You can order with a person or the kiosk. There is definitely a lunch rush and after school rush at this location. The food comes out fast! I love to get the garlic fries and their regular burger either cheese. Sometimes they have fun seasonal offerings like a take on the San Francisco dirty dog, philly burger, or truffle burger. They have veggie options as well. I like to eat outside when it's nice because it can be chaotic indoors and they play loud music. Also there is easy parking in the parking lot which is a nice perk. You can't forget the homemade pickles they are so good! I do think overall the burgers are a bit greasy for me but maybe that's your thing and what you are looking for. I believe this is Brandt Beef, which goes to show the commitment level, although, if you're one of those farm to table local guys, I would say Brandt is about 600 miles or so away, but that honestly doesn't bother me. This is one of those self-service ordering systems, and it asks for your name, which is fine, and then a cell number, which you are not able to complete the order without entering.... So I apologize to the person who got a message saying their order was ready!! I do get nervous of getting BS unsolicited text messages. Ordering was efficient and the menu had new specials that were enticing to me and my friend. We ordered the: Bacon Jam Burger Veggie Burger 2 orders of Garlic Fries Because this neighborhood is family friendly, expect it to be crowded and noisy with parents tending to their children with overlapping family gatherings. While the food was completed at a normal preparation time, there were a lot of notable things that could be approved upon: 1. Seating Because almost every indoor seat was taken on a cold evening, I wish the staff had enough time to glance up and turn on the heat lamps fixed under the restaurant awning. There was also a long wooden floating table across the soda machine, which could've been utilized if seats were provided. This particularly felt uninviting and would deter someone from choosing to dine in. 2. Bathroom Cleanliness For a restaurant with 10+ customers dining in, you would hope there were a reasonable amount of bathrooms built however there were only two unisex ones at the back. There were times I saw customers wanted to use the bathroom but because there was a limited amount with an uncertain wait time, a lot of people just gave up. Upon using the bathroom, it felt very unattended and there were multiple wet spots on the floor which can be very dangerous if someone were to slip and fall. I get that when you're using the bathroom, a little music could be nice and used to distract, but there was literally a speaker in there-it felt like I was at a club. 3. Quality of Food While it is advertised on the walls that the food is organic, locally-sourced, humanely raised, never frozen, and always made fresh from scratch everyday, the mission statement did not match the food's presentation. The burger to the garlic fries felt and tasted super oily, and by the end of the night we felt super thirsty and weighted down. I'm not too sure if there's MSG added, but this meal felt particularly heavy in comparison to meals from Shake Shack, Burger King, etc. I found the "Seasonal Offerings" menu to be a breath of fresh air, but as a customer you scratch your head a little that for $11 you get a mini sized burger with atypical toppings. While we did end up finding a seat indoors, experiencing the loud music in the bathroom, and feeling weighted down after our meal, I wouldn't hope this to be the bare minimum for something that should be super duper. read more

I used to be a big fan of super duper burgers , but when I went to this location , we both didn't really enjoyed our food. Customers service was amazing here , don't get me wrong ... but food here was okay... fries were mushy , burger was super greasy .. we saw a big pile of grease under the burger, and my salad was okay.
