There's not much point in reviewing Super Duper, but I'm gonna anyways. We used to eat a lot of super duper when I interned in SF. So I'm older now, and I wonder if my tastebuds have changed and if the burgers don't taste as good? Or if they are less salty now (which, this would be a better health wise anyways)? This time we got two super duper burgers. They are still really good burgers, albeit very greasy. The garlic fries are still delicious as ever! We sat outside and it's nice sitting out when the weather is amenable. Not really a fan of the tablet for ordering food. But at the same time I don't like talking to people... The garlic fries here are to die for, seriously. They are perfectly garlicky, with a generous amount of shredded cheese on top. If you take away one thing from this review, it should be to get the garlic fries. I thought the chicken sandwich was okay... the chicken was good and I liked the chipotle sauce they added, but the bread was super dry. With a softer bun, this sandwich would be really good! I liked this location, there's a good number of table and bar seats, which is especially nice if you are a solo diner. It's a fairly busy street as well, so this makes a good spot to grab a quick bite. Service is quick and friendly :) read more

I really wanted to like this place because the food is actually pretty good, which is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. Even after all of that, we still didn't end up with the correct order. Mistakes happen but this restaurant did not handle them right. Location mattered for this one! It was really convenient in relation to our hotel, and we just wanted a burger. There was no greeting upon entry, and you're just directed to a kiosk to place your own order. Thankfully, the kiosk allows for a lot of customization on your burgers, as one of them needed to have stuff taken off, and stuff added. Burgers and fries came out first, we were informed the shake and fountain drinks would be up in a little bit. Why we had to wait for two empty glasses to get fountain drinks was curious, but we waited. Burgers came out very greasy, juicy, hot, overall not bad. The garlic fries were very garlicky. Chocolate malt was great! Getting refills was not great. The place was very loud, kids running a muck and throwing things, yelling, jumping all over. Food was awful! I took my friends here to eat after we paid my first two friends were called to substitute their order for chicken because they were out of meat. They completely skipped over me & my fiancées order which when we went to the counter they then asked us to substitute our burgers for chicken & didn't give us the option to refund. Then when they gave us our order they handed it to someone else, who stuck their hand in the bag, and then the worker snatched it back and gave it to us. This is completely unacceptable! That violates so many health laws. On top of that we ordered the super burgers with two patties and received 1 chicken patty. We ate this because there were not a lot of other options. The chicken was rubbery, and not cooked all the way. We stopped eating it and workers were ignoring us when we tried to tell them. Then closed early and were forcing us out, after barely receiving our food. The restaurant was dirty most or all of the tables were not wiped down & were disgusting. This location in the marina is so great because it's in the corner and has outdoor parklet seating. Here are more good things- Menu- it's basic burgers and a season item. There's one breakfast option with egg and you can pay for extras like cheese and avocado. The soft serves are yummy. The employees seem like they like their job. The cons- the inside dining is a mess. The tables are cleared, but not wiped or sanitized. Also, the tables are attached to the floor so if you are thin, the corner table works fine otherwise a big guy will definitely not fit inside. The floor is also messy. When I was there I saw some soccer kids leaning a trail of dirt and grass from their cleats. While not at all Super Dupers fault, it's still something to work on. I had the egg sanding recently and it was pretty ok. I ordered and paid extra for cheese and mushrooms. I got jalapeños and onions free. There was a little piece of sad lettuce on my sandwich and I didn't taste cheese, but whatever. I also had the fries. All in all it's fast food. Do not expect more. read more

Stopped by Super Duper for a quick bite to eat before attending a show nearby and it was a good experience. The self-order kiosks are easy to use and it's great that you can customize your order, as you like. I opted to get a mini burger and a side of fries, which was under $14 before tip. Customer service was friendly, and my order was ready pretty quickly. I will say this Super Duper location is a bit cramped, especially if you're walking by the bar seats and trying to grab ketchup. I also wish they had a water dispenser with cups available. I forgot to ask for one when picking up my order and then later regretted not ordering a drink. It was fairly crowded when I went (early Saturday evening), but I was able to find a table and enjoy my meal. The burger was tasty and well-made and the fries were crispy and delicious. Adding some ketchup helped enhance the flavor for the both items. Although, I was a little bummed I didn't notice the mustard option until after I ate my burger. Overall, a quick and filling meal and I wish I had some room for soft serve. Worth visiting for a good/affordable burger! read more

Been craving super duper for a while now and finally had a chance to stop by Wednesday night while I was in the marina. I ordered at the kiosk: super burger with extra super sauce and LTO on the side & a mini pistachio and cookies and cream shake. It took about 10 minutes for the food to be ready and around 5 for the shakes. Upon picking up my food, I noticed that I was missing the LTO so I mentioned it and they prepared it for me. Once I actually "opened" my burger (I requested it get cut in half), I noticed there was no sauce at all. I went back to the counter to ask for some. Actual taste of the burger was as expected, it would have been better if the sauce was already incorporated into the food instead of being cold and dipping. For the shakes, both were on the viscous side and less thick. Pistachio was the seasonal flavor and was a letdown because it just tasted like vanilla, barely any hint of pistachio. Overall, it's probably just the location/service that night that didn't meet my expectations; I would still go to one of their other spots because I've had amazing experiences at Super Duper in the past. read more

All super Duper locations are consistent with friendly workers and the Marina district is no different. Last time I had the meal with kids vanilla shake, mini burger and garlic fries! This time I came in for their STRAUS ORGANIC SOFT SERVE swirl with half vanilla and half chocolate. And it was perfect to end this Saturday brunch over this Labor Day weekend, had a leisurely walk around Crissy field to Presidio tops park and ended my journey at Super duper with a cool dessert and hopped on the muni bus home! They really need to hire some decent help. I'm from New York. It's the second time I tried to order something there and it was just impossible. I'm standing there for like five minutes. Wow. Super Duper Burgers is incredible. Not only are their burger super but so are their fries, shakes and service. The guys in the kitchens and behind the counter were rockin and rolling, making sure everything came out super fresh and super fast. What blows my mind is their commitment to quality. Their burgers are "organic, locally-sourced, humanely raised, never frozen, always made fresh from scratch everyday." All of their beef comes from Brand Farms, a family-owned ranch where the cows are humanely-raised and 100% vegetarian-fed. It doesn't stop there.. their shakes and soft-serve ice cream are made from premium dairy from the first 100% certified organic creamery in the country, Straus Family Creamery. They are only located in and around the Bay Area but I'm hoping they one day open up a location in New York or the east coast! Can't wait to have em again. read more
