First time here and this place was consistently busy. Ordered the super tacos that included choice of meat, cheese, and avocado. They're generous with the meat too. Love Super Taq! I've been going here for years and it never disappoints. The food is always tasty, the prices are fair, and the quality is super consistent. The McLaughlin Rd and Almaden Expressway locations are my go-tos--I swear their beans just taste better there. This taco spot is my favorite! I can order nachos, burrito and a taco for under $25. Aside from this place being affordable the food is fresh and good! This place has 3 salsas, a red, a green, and pico. The red is my favorite. The service is amazing everyone there is super friendly and the food comes out so fast! My bf just left, he placed and order in person. He waited 15 minutes for the food, understandably, he asked how much longer. Other customers were getting their food before us. A "manager" stepped in (tall, thin, comb over hair) said if it's been more than 15 minutes, the food would be free but if it's under 15 minutes, we would get a free bag of chips lol. With an attitude and all. Then he says it's 14 minutes so you get a bag of chips in a condescending way. But the line cook corrected him saying it's been 17 minutes... Nothing fancy just an honestly satisfying fast food done properly. I been going here from day 1 when they only had 2 locations and it is still my favorite place to enjoy a Super taco made the right way. We really love this place. Beef, beens, splash if salsa, melted queso and avocado on 2 corn tortillas wrapped and grab limes and the green and the red sauce and a fork to get more salsa and fallen bits back in your mouth hehe. Don't let the juice drip so keep the wrap folded and pinched on one end while you eat it ! This is how you enjoy this Super Taco ! Wash it down with your favorite drink and start with the next Super Taco ! This is my favorite location since college and probably because I work in Downtown. Always a great stop for your drinking munchies or wanting some protein options other than your usual asada or al pastor. You can get delicious and not dry buche, cabeza, and lengua here! Order like this for my favorite: 3 quesadillas with buche, and you repeat buche because they get surprised seeing me order it. Dorado, which means you want it crispy! Cilantro and onions are okay. It feels like gamble to order some things outside of the "regular" college student diet and other parts of the animal, but you can't go wrong ordering it here. I have never gotten food poisoning and I eat this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It always hits. The parking isn't the greatest, even though there is a parking lot. Lots of double parking, tight turns, and you get the Downtown people. The inside is clean enough and I always opt to dine it. The line is all the way to the right and this location also takes cash and/card. I would say of all the locations, this is probably the best one since they pump out so much food that they are always cooking new batches. Never a bad choice for food. Place is covid safe, no indoor seating, the place is pretty big and plastic barrier at the cash register. Cash only and I got some nachos with all the usual, carne asada, guac, cheese and cream. Overall my expectations were kinda elevated given that this is Downtown San Jose and I thought my nachos were mediocre. Like sports arena mediocre, which is better than some whole in the wall and taco bell. Felt like the meat was a little dry, the chips were not all that and the toppings were not layered just one covering on top of the corn chips.
