I came here with my fiancée for a sunday brunch on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. It is pretty spacious inside and there is a patio for outdoor seating if you would like. The waiter spoke about that the restaurant making their own hotcakes and syrup from scratch so we decided to order some. These were like the best pancakes/hotcakes and syrup i had. Very light and fluffy and didn't even need syrup. The syrup itself was not overly sweet. Very delicious. The brunch food was amazing. I went here for dinner last night and it was honestly some of the best Mexican I have had in Nashville so far (moved here a few months ago). The atmosphere, service, and food were great. We had the regular chile con queso which was delicious! And I have to say, I am sort of a salsa snob but both exceeded my expectations. I could not recommend this place more! I am new to the Nashville area and was looking for a new niche place to try and was honestly blown away by this place. Our server Isaac was so kind and very thorough explaining the menu, drinks, and even the salsas. He is honestly one of the best if not the best server I've ever had and was extremely personable. Heard great things about Superica so we stopped in for brunch and we're not disappointed! We started off with complimentary chips and salsa which were delicious, fresh and just kept coming. For our mains, we couldn't decide between sweet and savory, so we went for both. For savory-- the chicken quesadilla was amazing and came with guacamole, sour cream and other yummy sides. For sweet-- we had the pancakes. If you come for brunch these are a MUST try. They were huge and came with a homemade syrup that I still dream about. I love the food here! The service is great and it's normally not too busy. It's pretty expensive for a Mexican restaurant but the food is still good. The place itself is clean and pretty cool - the patio is nice. I normally try to get something with the chicken - whether it's a quesadilla or the salad with chicken. The chicken is really good! This is for sure my new favorite spot in the Gulch! We started off with some delicious homemade chips and salas. Their chips are so thin and light and so delicious. We also got the queso fundido which I swear could have been my meal it was so good. I got the El Lopez and it was a lot of food! My husband got the chicken fajitas and they were the best. I wish we had saved room for dessert but there was no way after how much we ate. The margaritas were perfect. Be warned it's definitely pricey but that just goes with eating in downtown nashville. Wow. Wow. Wow. We decided to try Superica while we were taking a walk. We've lived close to this restaurant for over two years and I can't believe we've slept on it for so long. The green salsa was so good, we could have eaten it with a spoon. We shared the queso fundido with shrimp. The shrimp were grilled and tasty. For the entree, we got the Redfish and it was the best piece of fish I've ever had. So meaty and delicious. I had a Paloma and my husband had the margarita. Both were really good. This place has great food and great vibes. It's huge inside, but we went on a Friday night and it was packed, so I recommend arriving earlier than you want and joining the waitlist on your way! The flavors and portions were really good. I had the chicken tacos al carbon, which came with 3 rolled up tacos. Each one had lots of chicken, maybe even too much I would say! My friends all loved their dishes as well. My only criticism would be the service. It took long for our waitress to come to our table in the first place and took really long for our drinks. While the food was good and the environment was fun there are some serious issues here. Our server was not attentive and we waited forever for him to come over. We never once got refills except when we asked twice. While the service was poor I still left a tip. However the server changed the tip to a higher amount. So, upscale tacos can be controversial, but everything is very well done here. We did have to wait for a table, though not as long as estimated. The food is way over the top with the Queso Fundido and Piccadillo nachos and guacamole with tostadas and line to start and then add the Steak fajita quesadillas and the Steak fajitas Al carbon. Had a quality dinner here before a concert downtown. Love how fresh all the salsas are, especially love the green one. I had the chicken tacos for dinner. The chicken had a great taste, wood fired and spiced. I slathered this in salsa and went to town. Very tasty! Unfortunately the beans have pork in them so I didn't eat any, but the food runner did offer to get me another side which was sweet. Our waitress was really great as was all staff we interacted with. One of the best meals we had in Nashville. My husband and I split an order of the skirt steak fajitas, and added pork belly. We had queso with the chips, too. Everything was spectacular. We came in with our mind made up that we wanted the tacos Al carbon with the pork belly and the steak fajitas, and then decided because it was cheaper to just add the pork belly onto the fajitas (you can add additional meat for a small fee) and save $10. This restaurant has been on my list of places to try for a while. I went on a Saturday with two of my friends. We went around 6:30pm. It was packed and we had to wait about an hour for a table. The restaurant itself is pretty large with outdoor seating. We sat in the back. I love the low lighting atmosphere with candles. It's definitely a nice place to go to on a date. I ordered the chicken tacos al carbon which is flour tortillas, smoked onions, salsa cremosa, and frijoles charros. Based off other reviews stating that you should have this entree "rico style" I did the same. I'm not sure what the difference is without it but I was disappointed. Most chicken tacos that I have had in the past the chicken was pulled or shredded. Superica serves the chicken in a cube form which was very weird to me. It didn't taste like anything either. I paid $20 for my meal which is a little overpriced. Nevertheless they have many options on their menu to choose from so I would return and give them another chance. This is a Tex-mex restaurant and I believe they said the owners are from Dallas and Houston and that they wanted to bring their yummy Tex-Mex to Nashville. It is indeed yummy. This is probably my favorite new Tex-Mex place. It's located in a super secret spot behind the Gulch, which I didn't know was fully built out now. They have great outdoor seating, lots of space inside, and a pretty long bar as well. Every single person on the wait staff that came to our table was super friendly and helpful. I got their version of chicken tortilla soup and it was delicious. Carrots, chicken, avocado, tortilla strips, cilantro, all of it. Perfect portion size for someone who already stuffed their body full of chips and salsa. My friends got the tacos, which they said were awesome and the margaritas which also did not disappoint.
