It's a small shop with some counter seating and several tables outside the front door. They had around a dozen types on display. Sadly, they were out of old fashioned donuts (my favorite). But on the happy side of things, right when I walked in, they were putting out some brown butter donuts, fresh out of the fryer. I immediately pointed and asked for one of those. I also chose a maple raised and a maple bacon. The woman helping me was quite perky with a great smile. I'm certain the thought of why this guy was buying three huge donuts to eat all by himself never crossed her mind. I ate them throughout the afternoon...the warm brown butter one as soon as I got into the car. The cake of the donut was so soft and warm. If it were larger, I would have cuddled up next to it and taken a nap. The brown butter glaze was topped with a Maldon sea salt brittle. Sweet and salty. This was my favorite, probably because it was so darn fresh. The other two donuts had thick, soft cakes but not as soft as the fresh one. The maple donut was great. You could really tell they use quality maple syrup in the glaze. The maple bacon was similar with the addition of bacon on top. It was messy as some of the crumbled bacon fell off with each bite. They provide individual boxes for each donut so keep it under your chin to catch the crumbles! The bacon is seasoned with black pepper and cayenne. These are high-quality, delicious donuts.
