Order via DoorDash and was not disappointed! The fish tasted very fresh and all the seasoning, textures, and flavors were on point! I can't speak to the service or ambiance, but the food is solid and I definitely recommend for takeout/delivery.

    4 Torch Sushi(8pcs)

Came here because of the great reviews, but left pretty disappointed. We ordered tempura, torch sushi, and a BFF roll. The sushi (too much rice) was just okay, nothing special. It honestly reminded me of the kind you get at a Chinese all-you-can-eat buffet. Nothing really stood out in terms of freshness or flavor. The tempura was the biggest letdown. It tasted like frozen tempura that had been microwaved and served lukewarm. It came out just a few minutes after we ordered, and my husband immediately went, "Uh oh." That pretty much summed it up. I was curious and looked up Costco's frozen tempura and they looked the same especially the shrimp tails. If it weren't for the tempura, I probably would've given this place three stars for the service and price but it's unacceptable for a sushi restaurant to serve frozen tempura. Needless to say, we won't be coming back.

Solid takeout sushi place in international district! We ordered togo: the spicy killer roll, red dragon roll, salmon lover and hot volcano roll. Everything was pretty good and tasted fresh! The only thing we'd skip next time is the hot volcano roll. It's a little messy and I don't entirely understand what they were going for with that. In total this was around $67 which is not bad for Seattle prices and for at least being fresh!

Creamy Scallop Roll, Angry Dragon Roll, and Torch Sushi Box (Wasabi tuna, spicy salmon, unagi, and salmon)

Sushi Ave is one of my favorite spots to get sushi! It's located inside the Pacific Rim Center and there's complimentary 2-hour parking in the garage. I feel like this place is a "if you know you know" spot. I love how affordable their rolls are compared to other sushi spots I've been to and their seafood is high quality. The workers are friendly and service is quick. It's a smaller restaurant with a couple tables and it seems a lot of their business is takeout orders, but I felt like our food came out quickly despite them working on online orders at the same time. They start you off with the house salad tossed in a miso sesame dressing that I inhale. My boyfriend and I ordered the Creamy Scallop Roll, the Angry Dragon Roll (recommend!) and the 8-piece torch sushi box. For the torch sushi, we picked wasabi tuna, unagi, spicy salmon, and salmon. We loooved the wasabi tuna torched sushi and will definitely get again next time. When I was here last time, I got the Salmon Lover which comes with nigiri, rolls, and sashimi, I recommend that one too! See you again soon, Sushi Ave :)

They make delicious glamorized Cali rolls and decent size portions. I got the scallop roll, dragon roll, and baked lobster roll! Everything was good and came around a dead time so I got everything served quickly.

    Salmon Lover, Creamy Scallop Roll

This is my favorite casual sushi spot in all of Seattle. The portions and quality to price ratio is insane. I always get the Salmon Lover and Creamy Scallop roll. I've gotten them at least 5 times, and never has the quality been off or the consistency been different. The fish freshness continues to amaze me every time I order. The salmon lover comes with 3 sashimi slices, 8 maki pieces, and 6 nigiri pieces. The scallop roll also has a healthy portion of scallop!

    Nigiri Omakase

Located in one of the most run down areas of the ID, Sushi Ave is a diamond in the rough. There is a bit of street parking across the street and next to the building. After walking by mentally ill homeless and poo covered streets, you enter a small indoor mall. The resturant offers a sit down or take out option. Service is fast and friendly, and there are many choices from donburi, Latino rolls, and even kimchi rolls. My personal favorite is the $33 omakase. It is a dozen pieces of melt in your mouth, low fat, nigiri. The seared nigiri squares are the best value for flavor and calories. It is guaranteed to fill you up. I recommend all of the squares but the overly fishy saba.

Great tasting affordable sushi! Small and cozy place that serves sushi pretty quickly.

Inari (2pcs), Caterpillar Roll, and Futomaki
    Diana C.

Take out - really good sushi! I liked everything I got! The Inari was good and the caterpillar and futomaki were also very fresh. They prepared and packaged it well too. The only small critique is the cost for the portion sizing of the caterpillar roll but honestly I don't mind much because it was very tasty and satisfied my sudden late-night sushi craving!

Sushi Ave has delicious torched sushi options so I made the 15 min trek over from Lumen field just for these! 4 choices (8 torched pieces) for $16 total, not bad! 5 choices (10 pcs) is $18 and any 6 choices (12 pcs) is $20. When I got there there they were whipping out to go orders non stop. I dined in for my first time here and the crew is very friendly and attentive. I chose the salmon, spicy tuna, unagi, and wasabi tuna. The torched pieces held their form nicely while I was dipping them in soy sauce and I loved the flaky texture. Not crispy but not limp either. I do however think the mounds of rice were just a little big. It's not nigiri but the ratio was just slightly off for my liking.

Seared Steak and Hawaiian Rolls ($17)
    Wendi K.

Located in an unassuming complex with a bunch of eateries in I-District. The sushi was all fresh and well-made. I loved the rectangle sushi concept! The cube shape made the sushi REALLY heavy on the rice, but the rice was really delicious. The quality isn't of the highest caliber but it's priced well for the quality. Tried: -Two Torch Sushi Combos ($18 for a selection of 4 "torch sushi" pairs) - the pieces were HUGE and very filling. They were neat and the components they all tasted great. Again, very heavy on the rice. -Black Steak Roll ($17) - Loved the seared steak on top -Hawaiian Roll ($17) - Pretty sweet with the canned pineapple piece but pretty and yummy! It was empty when we went to eat in on a Sunday but it looked like there were tons of takeout orders being placed and picked up.

I order from here on the occasional weekend and it's my fave sushi spot for delivery so far. I definitely need to check them out in person. Portions are great and they have the occasional deal on uber eats. I usually get the bff or seared salmon roll + nigiri/sashimi of choice (love the yellowtail)

They don't take phone calls or reservations online - very old school. Which I think makes it more desirable. We ended up getting a special room with a "chabudai" style table! I was super excited because I've never experienced it before. What I did find pleasant was that although it was a lower table, there was an opening beneath the table that allowed your legs to hang rather than having to sit Indian style. Tyson was an amazing server. Was attentive, accommodated our allergies and was thoughtful with us having a young child. He was so pleasant and polite! We enjoyed the following: Baked miso glazed eggplant - YUM and melts in your mouth. Black Miso Cod Collar - this was pleasantly surprising and so delicious. Eat bite was tender and flavorful. Simple yet so appetizing. Sushi rolls were both fresh and well prepared. The nigiri was also great and fresh- not fishy. We additionally ordered takoyaki - which I normally don't love but this one was very tasty and I enjoyed the texture. Lastly karage chicken which came with a creamy slaw. Overall it was such a pleasant experience and we look forward to coming back!

Established in 1904 in the heart of Japantown, the restaurant relocated to the ground floor of the NP Hotel after its original structure was ransacked during World War II, when Seattle's Japanese community was relocated to internment camps outside the city. The hotel where Maneki now resides served as repository for family heirlooms that were left behind during that embarrassing and tragic period of American history. The joy of dining at Maneki goes well beyond the restaurant's incomparable history. The traditional Japanese menu has something for every taste, from delicious Nigiri and Maki Sushi to noodle dishes and local seafood. Pair your meal with a classic Japanese cocktail or a cold bottle of Sake, and you'll understand why this is one of Seattle's best culinary experiences. Highly recommended.

I sat at the sushi bar as it was just myself. For lunch, I opted in for the Power Lunch and it was fantastic. Served with 5 pieces of nigiri, seared salmon, miso soup, salad, edamame and more. The salad is great with the ginger dressing and the miso soup was flavorful with tofu. The nigiri was fresh and flavorful. Also got a shrimp tempura roll which was great with tempura shrimp and fresh avacado. Overall no complaints here. There are so many dishes I want to try and will be back soon for more.

For what this place is, I think it's great! The prices are really good considering all that you get and the quality of sushi is pretty good considering the price as well. I was pleasantly surprised to see their combos come with additional appetizers like the agadashi tofu, the salad with dressing choices, and miso soup. The chicken katsu definitely had more meat and a thinner layer of breading as an FYI. I ordered the sushi combo for 38 dollars and got great tasting sushi for that price. Overall, I'd recommend this place if you want somewhere casual with good options and little extra items mixed in with your meals. It's definitely not like Umi, or Shirros but you're also paying like 1/3 to 1/2 the price. I definitely see myself returning when I want a quick or convenient bite to eat (it's one block from my home).
