My husband and I have had the pleasure of being loyal Sushi Domo customers since the restaurant first opened its doors. We are made to feel like family there which is a rare thing in this day and time. The food is absolutely wonderful! The owner - Ryan - is both a chef and an artiste of unrivaled talent. We have never had one bad experience here, either with bad food or poor customer service. We love it so much until it has now become a lunch staple of mine; with my being at work during this time, on a weekly basis, my husband faithfully goes to pick up my sushi roll order from Sushi Domo and bring it to me at work (yes, I know I am spoiled :P ; He is a good guy!). Hands down, my favorite Japanese Restaurant in Arlington. We were very disappointed with a lot of the restaurant selections when we moved to Arlington, but we always look forward eating here. The sushi here is FRESH and well prepared. We moved here from Seattle and have had a hard time with the sushi quality in the metroplex, even at the higher rated establishments. This place hits the mark though. The menu is pretty traditional and authentic. The owner and sushi chef Ryan is a great guy with a true passion for the art and it shows in his menu, sashimi selection and in the well thought atmosphere and decor. Unlike a lot of places in Arlington, the environment is very inviting and it's very easy to enjoy a nice long meal here comfortably. Sometimes they may drizzle the spicy mayo on the sushi a little too much. My most recent visit was yesterday. My bf and I wanted a light lunch. We got one lunch special with California Roll and Shrimp Tempura for a mere $7! We also got the crunch white fish, one of my sushi favorites for $7.50. I was surprised to say the lunch special rolls were better than the crunch white fish. The crunch wasn't too crunchy, had too much sauce. We left satisfied with just the three rolls. It's a small, quiet, neat spot that played soft jazz and served really good food in generous portions. Let me start off by saying I come here a lot. It's my go to sushi joint. I've celebrated many birthday meals here. So today I decided to bring my friend cuz it's her birthday. I walked in and told a waitress I have a restaurant.com certificate and if it would be ok to order off the dinner with it. I was told it would be ok so we ordered the sashimi combo, geisha roll and other things. Of course we were told at the end of the meal that they no longer accept restaurant.com certificates. Wtf?! If they had told us that in the beginning we could've ordered off the lunch menu and saved some money. Ended up spending $70 and no apology. Why would one person tell me they accepted it and someone else tell me otherwise at the end? Looks like I'll be finding another sushi place to celebrate birthdays. I came here for lunch with some co workers. Pretty cool place and they had a lunch special. Two rolls and a drink for 6.50. I had the tuna roll and the salmon roll. Both were delicious and actually got full with the two rolls. The only thing which was minor was that the tuna roll was just ever so slightly soggy, but still very good. I have eaten here way more often than I can afford to over the past 7+ years. I love their specialty rolls, especially the Naked Roll and their OMG roll *with light cream cheese. Their lunch specials are a great deal. Fun place to enjoy for a more upbeat evening. The restaurant is very dimly lighted, but I do not mind at all because I prefer dimmer lights. I've heard rumors of the owner/manager being difficult for customers to work with and mostly female staff being encouraged to dress in more appealing attire, but I personally have received good service whether with one person or a large group of 15 friends without reservations. Domo is my first choice of sushi restaurants in Arlington by a landslide because of their specialty rolls. read more

It reminds me of my fave sushi spot in AZ and the prices aren't cheap, but they are reasonable for the amount of food you get. I like the Domo Tower, the Alaskan roll and the Dragon roll. Normally, hubby and I get our food to go and I recommend calling it in at least 30 minutes before you actually leave to get it. Even when it's not really busy, it tends to take a while for our order. Our server Lena I think was great and recommended a great drink so kudos for that.! Went here for our anniversary while in Dallas and here's what we kept talking about relating to our experience: 1. The decor and the ambiance was perfect! It was a smaller restaurant, maybe 20 tables, so if felt intimate. We could tell the owner really cares about the cleanliness of the restaurant as well as the look and feel. 2. There weren't that many people at the restaurant so my thought was that it is either very new or not that many people know about it yet. With such few people, it took a really long time for several of our plates. So, service was a bit slow. 3. Waitstaff was pleasant and attentive. One of our dishes came out wrong and she didn't hesitate to replace it. 4. Everything we ordered tasted very fresh. I can't complain about or meal.
