Stopped in after a brutal Walmart trip and got dinner. First time in, owner was there and was very pleasant. Explained the pricing thoroughly. We ordered, waited about 15 minutes, got our food and started to drive away. He ran out our ginger and wasabi that we'd left on the counter. Family's first time at this restaurant, the very first Sushi Go in Dallas. Dad had the Crybaby (3 hot peppers rated); Mom had Lion King & Shrimp Lover rolls. All are from their 'Special Roll' menu. Son #1, niece #1, & niece #2: each ordered the new Bulgogi bowl. Son #2 had Sushigo from the 'Special Roll' menu. All looked fresh and tasted VERY VERY delicious. What a strange experience. We ordered 3 specialty rolls and edamame. The total came to right at $40, which is not the strange part. We sat down and asked for 3 waters. Our server brought out 3 TINY, Dixie-cup sized styrofoam cups of lukewarm tap water, no ice. Weird, but fine, whatever, right? They then brought our sushi out on plastic, flimsy picnic plates. Y'all I'm all for cutting costs and whatnot, but for $40 for lunch, I'd think we could at least get some ice water? Or metal silverware? Maybe it's just me, but if I'm not eating fast food, it shouldn't feel like I'm eating at a school cafeteria. Sushi Go is the best but they need to stop co mingling selections in the same plastic container. It causes issues when trying to feed multiple people. Get a plastic container that will house one selection. Just because I order two rows does not mean they go to one person or maybe I want to eat one row and put the other in the fridge. Amazing I recommend the Monster roll, although everything I had was amazing! Really good prices, nice staff, fast service and a nice atmosphere. Amazing food, will come again for sure! Update: after coming in 6-7 more times I got around to trying their sushi bowls, which are an amazing value, for around $7-$10 you get a lot of rice, protein of your choosing and sauce. The worst service I ever experienced. Very rude person name Anna was trying to lecture us that waiting twice as long as they promised for our food to be ready is not a big deal and that we were wrong to have the expectation that the food would be ready when promised. I read some of the other reviews and while everyone has their opinion we have to be realistic about expectations from a place called Sushi Go that sits in a strip center close to an insurance agency and a Game Stop. If you want a quiet evening out listening to jazz music and eating $10.95 specialty rolls then this ain't your place. Now if you want good quality sushi at a very reasonable price in a very clean minimalist environment then Sushi Go is your new go to place to eat raw fish! I visited last night with my family. Kids sat in car. Wife and I went in to check it out. Very clean. Sparse seating. (Maybe 7-8 tables). Remember, the place is called Sushi Go, not Sushi Stay! Staff was super friendly. It was a guy taking orders and ringing people up and the Sushi chef. The Sushi chef was not talkative at all which was fine by me! He was busy dealing with ours and others food! He can talk later! He was very pleasant and had a smile on his face. He was clearly focused on preparing food! I appreciated his focus! After soliciting suggestions from the fella on the register who by the way was also the delivery driver we ordered the Dang Roll, California, Dragon, Crab and Rainbow. They were prepared pretty fast and we were out of there. From order to leaving was about 15 minutes or so. Chef was focused like I said! The rolls were packaged in clear take out trays and there was plenty of ginger and wasabi. We got home about ten minutes later and enjoyed the Sushi very much. Very fresh! No overpowering fishy smell! Neatly packaged! Well worth the $36 we paid for everything. If you like spicy, get the Dang Roll. We will definitely go back very soon!!! Well done Sushi Go!!! well YUM!! I love me some sushi. have tried it EVERYWHERE! I was super leery of a to go sushi spot in the Walmart shopping center! But, my son and I just tried it. The owner was super nice! We ordered at the counter and ate inside. We got 3 rolls. Cry Baby2, Crunch and Alaska. All were fresh and delicious! The Cry Baby2 was my fave. The special rolls? They are $7.95!!!!!!! Are you kidding me? What a great treat. The restaurant was very casual, clean and organized. Service was fast and friendly. All of the rolls on the menu looked fabulous. The salmon and avocado on our rolls were both super fresh - always a good indicator to me. We'll stick to Blue Fish or Simon's Sushi when hubby and I are going out for date night - but for an evening at home? Sushi Go is the bomb! I love sushi and sometimes am not in the mood to sit there and eat. This is a perfect place to order ahead for pick up. They do have dine in seating and delivery also. The owner was very nice and explained the menu and items a bit. It is simple pricing: the specialty rolls are all $7.95 and regular rolls are $3.85-$5.95. Will have to try their appetizers next time. Fast and cheaper than regular sushi joints but the quality is definitely there. I ordered the cry baby(spicy tuna, jalapeno, salmon, and spicy sauce) and the rainbow roll. We checked Yelp and decided to try this place out for a quick bite to eat. Everything we got was delicious, lots of flavor, not a ton or rice and fresh fish. Most of the rolls we got were simple tuna roll salmon roll and Philadelphia roll. But we did get a couple of specialty rolls and oh my we're they yummy! My hubby who has been the one to go in each time days they are a new family owned business and very nice. Since I was pregnant I only ordered Avacado rolls. Without wasabi it was okay, but my hubby tries more and says it was very good especially given its price. I have eaten there twice and both times they neglected to give me wasabi.
