This sushi was unbelievable I don't know where to start. The sushi was old. My people were pooping all night at 12:00!

When and if they make your sushi, it's pretty good. But the problem is the fact that it's if they make your sushi. They will often leave off rolls that you have ordered via the sheets they give you. Im the past, I just ignore it and say right, I'll just order it in the next round. I would say overall if you make a big order, in my experience, you will only get about 85% of your order (so leaving out 1-3 rolls). But what's even worse about it is that they will look at your sheet and tell you that you have ordered too much. This has happened multiple times when I have gone there. I am not a food waster, we have never left unfinished rolls. But I hate the condescension, the judgment of the servers for telling us how much they think we should eat. And because I understand Chinese, I have heard them complain to the other servers about us ordering too much. And honestly, we order so many because we know that you won't bring all of them out. So you see the vicious cycle that you have created?? We over-order to try to get the right amount. It's so ridiculous. It's lying. Given the number of AYCE sushi restaurants available in the area (without the attitude!) I will not be returning. read more

Then it briefly was something else in between before it was sushi Kingdom Good news is they go through so much sushi grade fish that you can a usually count on freshness. Been a rule of mine that consistently busy places tend to have the freshest food so we avoid /the opposite The service is very good , not necessarily the friendliest people. More due to a communication barrier but there are soo many on the wait & bus staff that it increases my expectation of good service They without a doubt get high marks for efficiency but lower on friendliness. Did I mention that I've seen as many as 6 sushi chefs working behind the bar. Clearly they are driven by service & hi volume The value for what you receive is good and if you are hungry even a better value. The quick math-- avg for 2 pc sushi -$4.50 al a carte. At SK15 pcs for the "average bear"$24 .99 + tip. Most places offer al a carte only min -&33 + tip (4.50 for 2pcs) And then there is the quality of the food. It is good not great. The soups are very good. The seaweed salad is artificially color and looks weird but tastes great. the fish typically fresh. I have no no major complaints. My only major complaint would. be the consistency of quality. On more than one occasion I've been served a lower grade of fish. Salmon comes to mind. This place deserves at least 3-stars. Sushi Kingdom is an average all-you-can-eat (AYCE) sushi place. The fish, for the most part, is very fresh and vibrantly colored and they don't go overboard with the rice. There's also a nice selection of soups and other appetizers, but the dumplings and shumai taste store-bought, frozen and pre-packaged. Sushi kingdom serves them deep-fried, which is not good. Most similar places usually have the option of steamed or pan-fried. Sushi Kingdom's dumpling sauce, however, is delicious and would pair extremely well with higher quality dumplings/shumai. As stated, the sushi/ sashimi is very fresh, but the downside is the spicy-tuna. It's overly minced, so much so that it's rendered to a mush. It also has an odd taste, as if it was mixed with a tad bit of Hellmann's Mayonnaise or something. Halfway through eating the rolls, it started to resemble a spicy American-style tuna salad, just with raw tuna. Spicy tuna is my absolute favorite, so to go to an AYCE sushi place with sub-par spicy tuna just slaughters my entire dining experience. My husband and I come here a few times a month and we typically love the food. Service has always been fairly awful- very slow and the servers are often rude. We are willing to overlook those issues in exchange for good sushi. Today, however, we were served a spicy salmon roll that was completely spoiled and a Philadelphia roll with an avocado that was so hard I literally couldn't even chew it. My husband is a chef and is very well trained to know when something is rotten- the spicy salmon was old and rotten. We told the server about these issues and she merely looked annoyed and whisked the dishes away. She did not even offer an apology. She walked over to the sushi chefs (who were sitting and eating) and told them of our complaints. They said something back to her and they all started laughing loudly. We were then given our check and we left. We own a café in Marlton and take food safety very seriously. We will not be going back to Sushi Kingdom again as we aren't willing to pay $25 pp to risk getting food poisoning. Disgusting. read more

A great place to go for all you can eat sushi! Been coming to this place for years. Although they raise their prices every year, still a good bargain for what you are getting and the size of the menu for all you can eat. I gave it 4 stars due to the lack of service. We still think about this AYCE sushi restaurant with fond memories. AYCE in terms of made to order, which is nice since it helps to cut down on waste and the food is more likely to be fresh. Only down side is that the portions initially came smaller than anticipated. Would have given it a 4.5 star but no 1/2 stars allowed so will up graded them. Hope to go back soon for round two. This used to be my absolute favorite place. I came here at least once a week. The time before last i came here with my friend the service was slow which was out of the normal so we let it slide. Well we came here last night and that just solidified that we will not be coming back. They took our slips and waited over an hour for our first set of food to come out. We had to ask 4 times for our appetizers our sushi came out then our edamame soon after. AFTER WAITING AN HOUR. if they were excessively busy that would be one thing, but it wasn't and we watched tables that got there after us get multiple orders of food before we got our first. We were seated promptly and our orders came quick. The atmosphere was nice and the waiters were friendly. Although we ordered a variety of sushi, the only one that I liked was the salmon sashimi. I did not like the others such as the spicy tuna or shrimp tempura which are usually my favorite rolls. The spicy tuna was gross, it tasted really fishy and I couldn't take the texture. Well it does, these are 2 of my favorite things. BTW there is Canal Liquor Store across the street so make sure you pick up some Saporro and Sake. Sadly I was unaware of the BYOB, so I had to see all the other table enjoy BYOB, while I drank water like a sucker. Sushi rolls were on the smaller side, but that was actually a good thing, gave me more of a chance to try different things. So on top of sushi you can also order appetizer items like chicken and beef sate, which I recommend and tempura, which for some strange reason they are stingy with the sauce, so ask for extra. I can be pretty lazy about writing my reviews but after reading what I considered some unfair reviews below I had to jump in. Is this my favorite sushi restaurant? No. But it is definitely an alternative when my bank account is calling for a cheaper night out, when I'm looking for a little more variety (ie "kitchen items") or when out with friends that want to try new rolls / sushi / sashimi. I'm not sure what bar people are setting an "all you can eat" sushi restaurant at... and I was skeptical myself (because all you can eat crap is still crap)... but everything I had was very fresh and the Godzilla roll was exceptional! This was the second trip for my husband and the first trip for me. It was pretty slow when we were there but it was earlier in the day then we would usually go. The wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. The "language barrier" mentioned below was no worse then what I have experienced in other such restaurants. As someone who has had a pleasant experience, I would recommend trying it. I would hate to see this restaurant fall under the old saying "If you like something, you'll tell a friend or 2. Tonight was my first night returning to this establishment in two years and now I remember why it took me so long to return. My boyfriend and I grabbed some appetizers and a few rolls. The waitress seemed to forget our spicy mayo that I ordered on the ordering form that they provide when you first sit at the table. That's not a big deal and I asked for some spicy mayo so we could start our sushi. She said okay, with no sense of urgency, and went off. I see her return to two other tables and even standing by a table talking to one of her coworkers. He was a man wearing a blue collared shirt so I'm assuming he was the manager. I could understand if they were speaking about business but they were laughing and giggling from the beginning. Then she went off, I was sure she was going to get what we requested. But sure enough she kept returning to her other tables. So I grabbed her again and asked for the spicy mayo. She said okay, annoyed, without the slightest apology. During our meal, she came over once to check up on us. So after about 40-50 minutes without anyone coming over, we assumed we had to pay at the front counter. We were getting ready to make our way to the front then she stops in her tracks and comes over asking if everything's okay. She rushed over like we were trying to dine and dash. I said "are you supposed to bring us our check? Or do we pay up there?" She said she has to bring us our checks. She mumbles something in her native language and the coworkers begin to laugh. She didn't even realize that I could easily speak or understand what she said. My boyfriend and I usually tip 25-30% but we only tipped 15% tonight. We have been a frequent customer since they first opened at this location. At first, we really like this place and have brought many friends here, but recently it has really gone downhill. Extremely Poor and rude service! I'd give them zero stars if I could. The waitresses are rude, throws plates on the table and yells at people if you leave any leftover pieces of food on the plate, and yells they will charge you more! Seriously! This is all you can eat and I understand not to waste food and all but when the food taste bad or pieces are burned, then we won't eat it! The sushi is standard at best, food is not as fresh as before. They give you an appetizer and sushi/sashimi menu and you pencil in what you want to order. But the order always fall short, most of the times they will not give you all the items and then you wait and wait and then finally you have to re-order. Suggestion to the owner: If you don't want people to order again then bring us all the food we ordered, if you don't want people to waste any food, then provide more tasty food and we will gladly eat everything! Lastly, hire polite people to work there! Raising your voice and Yelling at customers is a big no no for any kind of service industry.
