The service is slow and the servers we had are inattentive. There were no refills or check-ins. Basically we had to call on the server to check in on the status of our food which the answer was always "I don't know" or "It's still being prepared" even after 20-25 minutes. Furthermore, we asked after 40 minutes what happened to our food and it seemed like the server and chef were both confused which led to confusion regarding whether our order was even placed in the first place. I thought their sushi would be trash since it's all you can eat but the quality of the rolls were great. Sushi Kingdom is one of my favorite All-You-Can Eat Sushi restaurants in the Philadelphia area. So it's not a buffet-style all-you-can-eat, but rather an order-what-you-want all-you-can-eat, which is great for people with big bellies like me! Food/Price: You can choose from a variety of sushi, rolls (that can be made into hand rolls as well), and a variety of small plates like seaweed salad, udon, etc (sometimes fried oysters on certain days). The quality is average, but I think what you can choose for in regards to price is pretty much worth it. I'm a big sashimi lover, and my favorites are white tuna, tuna, and salmon, which are usually fresh. The eel avocado is also a great classic roll that me and my friends order all the time. You can order as much as you want, but I recommend ordering a moderate amount and then reorder rather than ordering a large amount at once because they sometimes forget to put in all the rolls you request. Food comes out at a decent rate, depending on how busy the restaurant is. This is a BYOB restaurant, which might interest a few people. Finally, they also have green tea ice cream, which I highly recommend! Service: Service is always decent and never an issue. There's always an employee and waving them down is easy as you can pretty much see everyone in the restaurant if you stand in the middle. Once you wave them down, they'll come right to you and ask you what you would like. Like a buffet, they don't necessarily come around to see how you're doing, but they come around more so to clean your table. They're never aggressive in terms of getting you out. Ambiance/Environment It's a pretty decent-sized restaurant, but can get very busy and noisy during weekend nights. Waits can be up to 1 hour depending on when you arrive. On other days/nights, there's practically no wait. You can come here on a date or with a group of people, though I think the place is more suited for a group as it's not that romantic. It's in a plaza with parking, so that's usually not an issue. My boyfriend and I are regulars here at sushi kingdom. The crab salad is my favorite thing on the menu. The crunch has the best taste, fresh cucumber and a heaping portion of crab -- the best part is that sushi kingdom is all you can eat, so multiple of these salads (and everything else) is possible. I really love the butterfly roll which is a mango lobster salad roll and has the sweetest taste. For all you can eat -- the quality is pretty good. So many options on the menu as well. Sometimes you don't get everything you ordered -- and have to ask for it again, which is super annoying. The staff does get a little pushy when it comes to closing out or providing additional food after a round or two of orders. That is the only thing preventing me from giving the 5th star. Terrible terrible Terrible service!!!!! I tried going a few years ago and they would watch you pay the bill and then run up on you for it. They took forever to even get my order. Today was the exact same, I waited 15 minutes during lunch where there was only a few tables so they weren't busy. I used to love this restaurant. I have supported it through the pandemic. I tip 15-20% on to go orders. Today was my first time back in over two years and the service was terrible. Our sushi came out before our appetizers. We told the waitress we wanted to place a to-go order before we left, and she treated us like we wanted to steal. She never gave us our check. She never checked on the food. She never gave us refills on drinks. She treated us like we had a disease. We had to pay the hostess without a check because we waited over 45 minutes and our waitress repeatedly ignored us. I was so disappointed. I tipped 10%. As a former server, I usually tip 25%. We came in as a party of 9 and were placed in a weird corner circle table under this aesthetically pleasing but ANNOYING lights that made everything look like you're looking through a 3D glasses! Everyone on the table started to feel nauseous after sitting for 30 mins. What made it worse was the crazy long prep time between each order, it took them nearly 40minutes to fulfill our order between each order and almost 30 minutes just to get our ice cream which we asked 3 times for.... The reason why it's still a 2 is because their sashimi was amazing and fresh (thank god!) but be careful with some of the other orders, for example we ordered 10 tomago (the yellow egg thing you see in the picture) and they opened a new pack and cut it into 10 ice cube size pieces rather than the traditional centimeter thick slices.... **went here last week and was too tired from the vacation to bother posting about the experience.
