We came here because the ratings were so high. My only complaint would be: how could they ONLY have 5 stars to give?? The sushi is fresh! The sushi chef, Jeff, has knife skills beyond many of the "expert sushi chefs" in Los Angeles. I've had my fair share of sushi and this is ranked in my top 5!! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Naomi took care of us and was very attentive. Moving to Colorado from LA, I was a bit afraid we wouldn't find good sushi.... nope, it's here!! You must try to the TORO! So buttery and delicious! Everything was excellent. Update: 3/20/19 Loved this place so much a week ago so we decided to bring our son back today during Spring Break. I have to say it saddens me when the fish quality isn't consistent. The yellowtail was fishy and they ran out of jalepeno which balances out that flavor. This is our favorite sushi spot in town, and anywhere really. Being GF, I appreciate that their menu shows which sushi can be made or is already GF, and they always have tamari on hand. My favorite is their Bronco roll. It's so nice to be able to enjoy a flavorful sushi roll again! I'm not celiac, but I've never had issues here. read more

Had veggie sushi which was fresh and well presented. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Didn't wait long for our food. At end of meal, we presented our Apple Master Card. Told us they didn't take Apple Card. They do take Master card credit cards just not Apple Card. A slight negative on an other wise nice experience. Great sushi, one of our favorite lunch spots in the Highlands Ranch area! 4 stars because of the same reason as the other reviews, it can get a little pricey. We like to go for the lunch specials as its worth it then. The sushi is very fresh, staff all very friendly. I just don't think the prices accurately reflect what you get. I've heard of this restaurant many times through people on he community and was so excited to try it. I am utterly disappointed in what will be my only experience with sushi mango. I ordered the chicken teriyaki to go. On the website, this dish is listed under "dinner entrees". On the bottom of the page it says "served with soup, salad and steam rice". I was thrown off a little when I called and was asked if I wanted soup or salad. If the entree does not come with both then there should be the word "or", not a comma. I didn't say anything however because it's not that big of a deal. What was a big deal is when my husband brought the food home and I opened the box. The was a scoop of rice, 1 broccoli tree, 1 slice of squash and three carrot slices. There was maybe 1/2 a hockey breast cut up as the "entree". This dish was $12.50 but for the amount of food I received, we shouldn't have paid more than $8. This was a lunch portion at best. Probably more of a kids portion to be honest. I ate it in 4 bites and was still starving. I am very disappointed that a dinner entree would be so small and bare. I wonder if since it was carry-out, they didn't think they needed to put the same amount of work into it since we would be gone before we could complain. Regardless, I will never be back. The food was good. Not great. But due to the ridiculous portion size, I have no desire to go back. I posted a photo and what you see is what I got. The first thing you notice when you walk into this place is lack of customer service/greetings by the sushi chefs. Even when you get seated at the sushi bar, the 2 chefs working completely ignore you as if you're just an empty space. The one chef who was stationed closest to the door has zero personality, doesn't even acknowledge when serving you your sushi order plate. The prices are on much higher end but the quality is just average but the sizes of nigiri and sashimi are just laughable. I thought they were trying to compete for microscopic sushi servings. The only reason they're open still is due to location convenience. Otherwise, there are plenty of much better quality sushi - nigiri, sashimi and rolls, as well as better prices and customer service at not far away Edo Higan and Asaka sushi in Park Meadows. Even Okinawa beats this place by a mile. read more

My overall experience here at Sushi Mango surpassed all my expectations. The sushi was beyond fresh and delicious. The service was on point. They atmosphere was great for a small restaurant, very cozy place. My beer and hot sake hit the spot after a long week at work. The Yellow tail collar appetizer was the best I've ever tried. The rolls were beautiful. The bill came and for the 2 of us, the sushi and sharing a beer and sake was only $65. It was well worth it and this will be my go to sushi spot in Highlands Ranch. read more

We have not been back for a while but I'm sad to report that it sure is not the Sushi Mango we were used to. Food was mediocre and not nicely presented. Atmosphere felt off. Can't feel a great jive coming from kitchen and sushi chef crew. We were hoping for good sized sashimi cuts and rolls served well presented but our dinner for two came poorly presented. They all wanted to make sure that you were enjoying your food. The atmosphere was very cool. A modern Asian theme, that made the small space feel much bigger than it really was. Word of mouth travels fast....not as fast as Yelp but I digress. Anyway, this little gem is fabulous! The owner (formerly of John Holly's Sushi Fame) and his lovely wife have started this sushi bar in the middle of suburbia and they are bring flavor, freshness and inovation to Highlands Ranch! The spicy tuna roll with sliced jalapeño peppers was delicious but my favorite was the salmon, tuna, spicy sauce, avocado, cilantro, crunch creation! Hidden Gem! Like many people who have reviewed this place, I am super surprised that I havent heard of it. It is definitely our new favorite sushi place in The Ranch. They were silent and captioned, exactly like I feel TVs should be in restaurants! They did have some pretty nice music playing at the perfect volume. A $20 Living Social deal brought us in on a Thursday afternoon. It was located on Highlands Ranch Pkwy/near S University Blvd in Highlands Ranch, CO. They have only been open for a month with new owners, sushi chefs, and wait staff. We got a choice of soup or salad with our lunch. We both ordered the salad. The salad had red leaf lettuce, sliced cucumbers with a soy ginger dressing. My husband ordered B4 ($9.95) which had Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura, 4 pieces of California Roll with tobiko, 2 Gyoza, and Rice. There were 2 shrimp with the tails on lightly battered and a bunch of tempura vegetables. The Gyoza were small with a thin wrapper. I ordered L4 ($11.95) which was 10 pieces of Sashimi served on a bed of shredded daikon. The server told me what everything was. I would order this again. We will be back for dinner. read more

We ordered delivery tonight. When we ordered they said 45 minutes, ended up being a little over an hour. A little frustrating but not that big of a deal to me. The deal breaker was that my husband ordered the dinner entree Beef Teriyaki which was $12.95 and it was such a let down! Personally, I expect a dinner entree to be filling and a large size. What we got left him hungry and disappointed. We also requested fried rice instead of steamed rice with it, which the fried rice tasted extremely fishy, far more fishy than it should ever taste. Apparently this place recently changed names. I hadn't been here before in it's previous version. I found the decor very nice and trendy for a sushi place, even though it is pretty tiny. It was very clean. I went in for lunch and must say that the lunch specials were a bit disappointing in the fact that price wise they are the same as other sushi places out in the burbs, but you have to choose between a soup or salad, and the soup or salad are both EXTREMELY small portions, so for the price, you can probably find equally good lunch sushi with soup and salad for a better price at other places reasonably close. I had a sashimi combo & the sashimi was smallish, but fresh. The service was good, the food was good. I just didn't find it spectacular over the few other options within the area, but I guess out in the Ranch, it overall isn't a bad option for getting sushi. read more

The word that comes to mind is underwhelming. For the prices you might as well go to Makizushico in Littleton. Service was great attentive and rather friendly. But as our sushi plate came out we realize that the portions were incredibly small and the prices were incredibly big. They sell sushi by the piece each piece being over $3 each and just a slight sliver of fish. I had a spicy scallop roll that was a tiny piece of scallop, I wouldn't doubt if it was just one 1/2 a scallop for the whole roll, that I could not even taste over the overpowering portion of Sriracha on top. True scallop rolls have spicy mayo and are slightly bigger. I then began to look around the restaurant I noticed that at 1:30 pm, and not that busy, it was quite dirty all along the edges of the booths and the wall they were crumbs and dust pieces of rice and I soon began to feel a bit uncomfortable. I was disappointed as this had only been the 2nd time there, they may have changed owners I remember it being better than this. Can't say I'll be back. read more

We really like this place, we usually order special rolls but always same ones which I should expect same price. They change prices all time, one day special roll is $11, then next week exactly same one is $15?? Then they say "oh sorry that's what chef said" soooo??? Casually chef is same at least for the last couple of times.... they didn't even worry to fix or nothing. Yes, regards Covid... any time I go to pick up my order, I can see 1 or 2 with no gloves.
