We ordered the spicy tuna roll, the eel roll, and the dragon roll. The photos in their Uber Eats site shows a rollcut into six pieces. What we GOT was two "slices" of each one. I don't often expect much from, and all you can eat sushi place, usually they are just mass producing and not too focused on taste, however, this place does speed, quantity, and good tasting food. Been twice in two weeks and that's because the food is pretty darn delicious. The sweet potato roll is SO GOOD, my favorite by far (of the vegetarian options). They also do fried rice really well and most things come out pretty quickly, if it doesn't, you just need to remind your server. The decor inside is also top notch AND they have a karaoke room, though I haven't tried it yet (you have to reserve and there is a cost). Definitely recommend. Truly disappointed in the service my boyfriend and i received last night. This was our third time coming here and the last two times we have absolutely loved it. The food is amazing, and the all you can eat is great. I'm never one to complain about a wait time due to a restaurant being busy. Especially on a Friday. We arrived last night at around 8:30, and seated by 8:47. It was about 10 minutes before we put in our first order. After about 20 minutes we received the fried rice my boyfriend ordered and my sashimi. We watched the tables around us continue to receive their orders while we were still waiting. After an entire hour our waitress came over asking if we wanted another order, and we had stated we had not received our first order. We continued to wait another 15 minutes just to get our sushi. By this point it was 10 pm, they close at 10:30 on Fridays. We were hungry and beyond upset, and decided to just get the check. Our waitress was kind but she made a comment about us not ordering more and said to skip lunch next time we come. That truly upset me, because I did skip lunch! I was waiting for the sushi all day just to be treated like that. We paid $80 for two small platters of sushi, a small plate of steak and the sashimi. Absolutely ridiculous. It took my boyfriend going to the host to get someone to figure out where our food was. Again, like i said I don't normally complain when it's busy, but i'm beyond upset that everyone else seemed to have been taken care of and we were being ignored. I came in at around 7:15pm on 8/28. It wasn't packed, but wasn't empty either with a good mix of groups and individual diners. I get seated, my order taken, and my drink served. Then I waited. And waited. And waited some more. My main bulk order came in 15 mins, which is absolutely fine except for the fact that I was not given any of the basic set; ginger, wasabi, even a bowl to put my soy sauce in. I figured, maybe the person who seated me just forgot to get me those basic items, it happens, so I ask my waitress. And then I didn't see her for 30+ minutes. Next time she comes into the dining area, she's taking orders and providing drinks people who came in after me, but I get a chance to inquire about the soy sauce container. Another 15 minutes pass. It is now 8:20pm at this point and I say screw it, I empty out my bowl of cold rice at this point and use that for my soy sauce bowl. I never got the bowl I asked by the way. Imagine that, going to a sushi place and not being able to use soy sauce. Enough about me though. I was seated at table AR-4. The table behind me at AR-5 was there before I arrived, and it took them over 45+ mins to get a beer. A bottle of Michelob Ultra took over 45+ minutes of multiple table visits, asking if everything was alright, and the exact same generic, "I'm so sorry about that" comment everytime. Like I mentioned before, it was not busy, and our dining area was the only area we could see that she was serving. It takes less than a minute to go to the fridge and grab a bottle and come back. In the end, they had to take the damn beer to go. TO GO. It didn't help that they had to wait another 20 minutes to get their check after they finally got the beer. They were upset, tempted to just walk out without paying, and rightfully so, as I was very close to doing so myself. I am giving this review after I myself have worked over a decade in the customer service industry. I get that it gets busy, or maybe someone is new and in training, but from what I observed, this was neither of those things. What I expected to be a comforting meal after a long day of work turned into an grueling all-evening ordeal of agonizing waiting, not just for me but the customers around me as well. This place is BOMB. A friend of mine found it because she lives close to this area and suggested we visit. I was super excited because I LOVE sushi and it's sometimes hard to find quality sushi in rva. This place is an AYCE sushi place, where each order is created to your liking. The price is higher at $31 but includes your first drink and sashimi. Who can beat that?? The server was nice and the manager came out to check on us a couple of times, even delivering orders. Anytime I see managers and owners doing what's considered "staff-level" work gives them an extra star in my book. The sushi was FRESH and even the cooked foods were fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I had. Even someone who didn't like sushi found several things they liked! Highly recommend. This is the one of the worst dining experiences I've had in relation to the service provided. I came around 6 pm on a Friday. The resturant wasn't busy and I was quickly seated. Cool. In the area I was seated at, there was a large party and they seemed to be wrapping up. The server seemed very short with me despite me being the only party aside from the family. 20 or so minutes later several couples were seated and the waiter seemed to be more attentative to them than me, who was there earlier. Although this an AYCE, several of my sashimi orders were missing, the service became even slower and I heard other tables complaining about orders being missing or having the incorrect dish served to them. The actual food quality was great. Fresh pieces of fish, no strange or off-putting smells, but the service was so bad, and borderline hostile that at times I felt forgotten and when it was time to close out my check, the waiter took no time in getting my reciept. Needless to say, I'm good on this resturant. I'm not sure if the lack of attentitve service was because I was a single party or what but I don't think I can reccomend this place based off my experience. read more

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. I have genuinely never received service so poor, incorrect, and borderline disrespectful. As a server myself, I understand the difficulties of the job and that mistakes happen. However, the list of mistakes goes as follows: First and foremost , I ordered plain lo mein, specifically requesting no vegetables. The order came out with vegetables. Next, we ordered two rolls and waited over 10 minutes for the second one to come out after the first. When the server FINALLY was waved over to the table, I politely asked for yum yum sauce and then we placed our next order. He completely forgot our sauce and I had to request a second time and was met with zero apology. During our second order, I asked for chicken tempura. 10 minutes later chicken teriyaki came out, and I reminded him that I did not order that. He then proceeded to replace the order which finally came out looking like a singular chicken finger. I also waited with my empty cup on the table for over 20 minutes for a refill. It is important to note that the restaurant was not even remotely busy to justify this, and multiple complaints have been made about the service. I've been to this place at least 6 times. Needless to say, its pretty good. Its not fancy pants or top tier sashimi but it hits the spot and nothing about this place annoyed me so its a yay for sure. You can tell the chefs and restaurant team are trying very hard with each dish so I really appreciate their effort. Ambiance is a bit kooky, corny, but in a charming mom and pop way. The sushi here was actually pretty good. For all you can eat, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It seemed very fresh and the rolls that were fried came out hot which I enjoyed. The smaller dishes though were a miss in my opinion. They seemed to be sitting out a little long or just lacked flavor overall. The service was pretty bad as well, our waitress kept talking to the table next to us and using foul language. Besides that though, it didn't seem like it took a super long time to get our food as we ordered it. I will add though, I constantly asked for a refill on my water and I never received it. Sushi is a very dense thing to eat, so having something to wash it down with, is important. The fried rice was mediocre, I've had much better but it was serviceable. As for the vibe of the restaurant, I loved it. The flowers and seating added a really unique vibe. They had a waterfall and pond too which was really cool. I've wanted to try this place for so long and finally got the opportunity to last night and let me tell you it did not disappoint! We got take out but the inside is big and beautiful very fun ambiance! Food was beyond delicious I got the avocado roll, asparagus roll, tempura & eggplant and edamame as an appetizer. Came here with mom and dad. First time here and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. You are greeted with an inviting and luxurious lobby, very colorful and inviting. We sat in a side room which was quiet and relaxed. Our first order was apps, the sesame balls, cucumber salad (fantastic) and squid salad: all delicious. We then ordered the Naruto roll (wonderful with the tuna), Snow White roll (light and slightly sweet), little Tokyo roll, and Bon temps roll (also delicious). Our second order was samurai roll, bubba gump roll and the TNT roll (this plat was amazing. Flavors were fantastic). The quality of fish is better and the rolls are really good. The mixture of flavors is actually really good compared to the same ole at every other place. The price includes a drink. Including domestic beers and Sake. The gem. The server was the best we've had. If you're tired of passive aggressive servers in RVA that act like they're doing you a favor by lazily asking what you want and giving you food that you didn't order with a terrible attitude, go to this place and ask for Bill. for an all you can eat sushi place, this place is well above average in service, food, and decor. when you walk in youre greeted by this beautiful indoor pond with koi and lots of decor. the food was like typical all you can eat sushi spots. slightly better quality and delivery time than competitors. what makes it great was their 21$ lunch special. its 80% of the dinner menu for 10$ less. such a steal for a filling weekday lunch. read more

Honestly, flavor wise, it was good, although the variety is not that big, especially on their specialty rolls. When it comes to texture, it was definitely a fail. The sushi rice had a texture of a gummy paste instead of a freshly made sushi rice. You could not even distinguish the grains of rice because it was all mushed up like a gummy see-through paste. I would give it another try to see if they had an off day, as this was my 1st time there.
