I visited Orlando for a work trip and I had to try sushi Saint since it is Michelin guide recommended. The outside was a little unassuming, but it was modern contemporary on the inside. Unfortunately, I didn't have a reservation, but they were able to see us without any issues. The service was very friendly and accommodating. There was several cocktails my friends and I wanted to try but they ran out of ingredients for those cocktails instead they whipped up something special for us based on certain flavors we enjoyed. The only strange part of the night was our initial waitress handed off the service to another guy who mentioned she was getting off work, but then she did not leave. Not sure what was going on there. This place is known for their sushi, hand rolls, and they were fire! I tried the Toro, Unagi, and scallop hand rolls. They were all unique with their own fillings and different sauces. Each roll was a new elevated experience. I definitely think this place is worth trying. Everything was delicious. Only downside is that the rules were a little pricey, but given the quality and accolades of the restaurant, I understand why it is marked up so high. I came to check out their happy hour that's advertised on their website/resy. I came on a Thursday and we were the only ones there through our visit. Unfortunately, we were told the happy hour online is no longer offered, only for the drinks. Service was good; since we were the only ones there, we had lots of attention from all staff. Sushi Saint has been on my radar since it opened last year, and I'm glad I finally visited. The food here is fantastic! This is not your typical sushi restaurant. The stars here are the handrolls. I'm still drooling over the delicious food. Let's not forget about the sake drinks, wow! Those were delicious and so refreshing. There are three experiences here, so keep that in mind when making a reservation. I made a reservation for the lounge. It is a beautiful area with table service; however, the hand roll options are limited compared to the Temaki Bar. At the Temaki Bar, you are seated in front of the chefs making your hand rolls. The other option is the $100 Omakase in a private area. I love the decoration here. It is beautiful and cozy. A couple of TVs are playing anime, and it just blends so beautifully with the restaurant. We had excellent service and got fantastic recommendations from our server. Next time, I will reserve at the Temaki Bar for a different experience. The place is beautiful, and I loved the decor. The only reason why I am giving Sushi Saint 4 stars instead of 5 is that their temakis are quite overpriced. Except for the vegetarian options, they range from $11 to $22 and are quite small. However, the high-quality ingredients and flawless preparation were noticeable. For the appetizer, we ordered the truffled edamame. It was tasty but overly buttery; the added butter on top of the truffle oil made it too greasy, especially at the bottom of the bowl. Based on reviews, we should have opted for the Sichuan cucumbers with chili crunch instead. For the main course, I tried the King Salmon, Crab, and Cucumber umeboshi. All three were good, though small. The King Salmon stood out as the best of the trio. Before they bring the check, they'll bring you a warm fish broth (dashi) to cleanse your palate and aid in digestion. It tasted like a fishy mild miso soup and did its job. If, like me, you enjoy pairing beer with Japanese food, I highly recommend giving their CBD infused beer, Mountain Duuuude, a shot! Good vibes. The service was impeccable--definitely among the top 3 I've experienced in Orlando! Sitting at the bar was a great choice, allowing us to watch the chefs in action. Both the servers and food preparers were super knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance added to the experience, with its contemporary design making the place aesthetically pleasing. Omg! What a treat?! This restaurant is tucked away in downtown. The exterior looks kind of industrial with a brewery next door. Once you open the doors it is very nice inside. We sat at the Temaki bar and watched our chef create each roll by hand. I feel like sitting at the bar makes it more of an immersive experience. I love sushi and hand rolls are so fun. I particularly enjoy hand rolls because the flavors hit a bit differently. You get the crunch of the seaweed followed by whatever is inside. I started with the Shibu Shibu cocktail, which was ver refreshing. I ordered quite a few rolls. The hamachi, akami, scallop, and snow crab rolls were all excellent. The scallop roll was torched with a brown butter glaze. The Akami roll also had nice flavor. The crab roll with the miso butter and truffle aioli had a savory taste. I'm not sure which roll was my favorite because they were all really good. The fish was very fresh and melted in your mouth. Our chef did a great job. Every roll was so pretty--each its own piece of art. We also ordered the Sichuan cucumbers. Don't sleep on those either. They were so full of flavor. After we finished our rolls we received a cup of broth. I forget what is in it but it was somewhat like a very light miso soup. It was the perfect touch to settle your stomach and seal the meal. We then split a mango mochi and black sesame mochi for a little dessert. Prices aren't cheap, but I found it fair for the quality of what you are getting. And there are plenty of a la carte items to choose from You can pick quite a few options without totally breaking the bank, or you can splurge on some of the fancier rolls. I came for dinner, but I noticed they also have a happy hour with some pretty good prices. There were 4 of us so we ordered quite a few items. Hubby wanted something REALLY spicy so the guy suggested Shishito (sp?) peppers. I can't eat anything even remotely spicy and these were totally tasteless. Service was a little confusing with a few different people helping us at the same time. They do not have omakase during the lunch hours, but during the week you are very likely to have a quiet one on one experience with the Chef at the counter as we did when we visited. Sushi Saint - tried this hidden gem over the weekend with a few friends. The food was quite delicious and service was good, but the place is absolutely freezing inside. Bring a sweater or jacket. The location is on the west side of I4 not far from the Federal courthouse and the Monroe. It's easy to access off I4 Amelia exit. It is where the Grilled Cheezus was prior. The parking is less than optimal as you have to pay for most of it unless you get lucky. Fortunately, on Sunday, some of the spaces were free but not many. There are several options - a la carte, 3-5 courses (each is fairly small but the 5 course is filling) or the lunch special. The special and meals are a good value. I have photos of all menus. We all loved the food but I didn't catch photos of everything. The only less than stellar hand roll was the crab. It just didn't make the mark. The Wagyu was incredible. It's worth the upcharge. Next time, if there are two of us, we will definitely come for lunch and do one 5-course and 1 lunch special and share. Or, try their happy hour. read more

To start, we came for happy hour and were seated very quickly at the bar, which was recommended by the hostess for first timers. We were handed the main menu but not the happy hour one despite it being happy hour time (?). We ordered the Ave Maria set, szechuan cucumbers, and a hamachi maki. The hand rolls are truly amazing. All the flavors worked so well together and the fish was extremely fresh. The cucumbers were also the star of the show because we basically licked the plate clean of the chili oil. We had ordered the hamachi maki off of the happy hour menu (a screenshot we found online), but to our surprise we got back a hamachi wasabi roll which was still very delicious. Well...so we thought it was hamachi. One of the chefs handed us another roll explaining that the first one was messed up and was salmon. We told him it was ok and didn't mind the mess up. Since everything was so delicious we went ahead and asked for a to go order of the hamachi maki, salmon maki, and szechuan cucumbers. We paid the bill and left, but when we got home there were a few surprises. First, we did not realize that the fresh wasabi was $8. When the waitress had come over asking us if we wanted fresh wasabi we just assumed it was a normal part of the meal. Next, the waiter misunderstood us when we said hamachi maki and instead we were charged for the hamachi wasabi roll. When we opened our to go box there were 3 maki rolls and no cucumber which was quite disappointing. The rolls were very small which is normal for maki but was a little confusing because of what we received and the misunderstanding in the restaurant. It's nice to see that my previous review was prescient - this spot deserved a bib gourmand award! I've always been a hand roll enthusiast and it's nice to see them featured front and center. The uni, toro, salmon, crab are still spot on. The shishedo peppers are terrific to order with a lunch special, and are strangely theatrical in their own way. The bonito flakes move on their own from the heat of the peppers...crazy. Service was terrific. I enjoyed my green tea with holly, until the waitress told me about its Latin name and the story behind it...which sent me to a quick google search and reassurance that everything was fine unless I drank gallons of the stuff...it's not always that I have that kind of adventurous challenge eating in the States, so well done! read more

Yay! I made it to sushi saint. I made a reservation online and when we got there they greeted us promptly then they have this cute romantic area where they seated us while waiting to be seated on the sushi bar. Right away they gave us water and popcorn then I ordered some cocktail drink the misplaced kimono. After few minutes we moved to the sushi bar. So everything that they serve here is handroll. They gave us a paper menu and pen and we just fill out the paper and just put the quantity you want. I got 4 rolls, chutoro tuna cucumber, snow crab truffle cucumber, yaki king salmon and otoro wasabi chives. Good quality of fish and very unique experience. The hand rolls were delicious! We ordered a Truffle and mushroom. The roll was delicate and perfectly portioned. The balance between all the ingredients made it very good. One of my new favorite restaurants! It's pricey but worth it. So glad to have this new addition in town. I've already been here 3 times in less than a month because I want everyone I know to try it. My favorite hand rolls so far are the Buri (with wasabi aioli and pickled daikon) and Akami Zuke (with pickled daikon and fried shallots). I also liked the snow crab, fresh scallop, toro, and bluefin tuna tartare hand rolls. The one I liked the least was the Yaki king salmon handroll. I had all three hand rules that are offered, each one had something unique about it. The avocado hand roll was also amazing. We had for appetizers the edamame and the elote, both delicious. The sage cocktail was lovely and only six dollars on happy hour, but I also truly enjoyed the matcha drink that had pineapple and coconut.
