    Sushi Dinner
    Lindsay K.

I ordered Sushi Suki through Uber eats and it did not disappoint! I wanted some variety so I ordered the sushi dinner. It had 9 different sushi pieces including yellowtail, salmon, tuna and more. And it came with an added tuna roll and miso soup side! The fish was fresh and I was very happy with the quality of the fish. I would definitely order from here again.

    2 Maki Roll Lunch Special

Got food from here before for delivery and now I went in person. I came here on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm with my boyfriend and enjoyed the simplicity of this small restaurant. We both got lunch specials, him the bento box and myself the 2 rolls for $12. I got the shrimp tempura and spicy tuna. I liked the shrimp tempura, I just thought there were a lot of lettuce in it and the spicy tuna was not really good - was too mushy and didn't really taste too fresh. However, the miso soup and salad that came with the lunch deal was surprisingly so delicious on a fall day! Overall, the food was a great price and the waitress/server/only worker in the restaurant made the experience enjoyable. Not sure if I would come again, but it was nice to try this sushi restaurant in the UES.

Lunch special comes with soup and salad.

Sushi on a snow day... yes please. I picked up. And yes, you tip even on a pick up. But I did see delivery guys working really hard and fast on a snowy delivery day. I highly recommend the lunch specials. The two maki rolls are HUGE and very fresh. I was a bit surprised at the cut. Had I ordered one more roll, it could have been dinner, too. Service is very fast. Prices are very reasonable. And it a is clean and COVID safe. I highly suggest supporting this small business so we can have them when this mess is over!

Teriyaki Bento Box Dinner - Beef

Very disappointed with my order tonight. Ordered Beef Teriyaki Bento Box and the beef came completely raw on the inside. When I called up the restaurant to let them know, the lady told me that's it's just medium. I responded that it's definitely not medium, and that's it's raw on the inside (see picture). She then told me to microwave it for 20 minutes....wtf! Will not be ordering from here again.

New to the neighborhood from Florida and decided to give these guys a try. I got rudeness from the cashier and a piece of hair on my California Roll!!

Great find! I got the 3 roll lunch special, which is your choice of 3 rolls plus salad and soup for just under $15. And the lunch special is served until 4 pm. I ordered via Grubhub, and I got my order very fast. Will be ordering this again.

It's a small spot and pretty quiet, which I like. The rolls are really good, and I come here about once a week to treat myself.

The atmosphere here was a bit more lively and crowded compared to the more relaxed vibe of the UWS spot. I enjoyed my meal even more this time around. I started with the beet salad, which was delicious and offered great value given the generous portion size. it featured sliced beets, arugula, goat cheese, and walnuts. I also had my eye on the hijiki soybean salad--which is a bit smaller and reportedly homemade--so I may try that next time, along with the warm mushroom salad which looked very tasty. The edamame was standard but served as a nice starter. For my main rolls, I chose the salmon avocado and the yellowtail scallion. Both were very fresh and definitely worth ordering again. The salmon avocado roll had a nice touch of sesame seeds on the rice, while the yellowtail scallion was prepared with the seaweed on the outside. My boyfriend's sushi entree looked excellent, so I am considering that or the sushi-sashimi combo for my next visit. The entrees provide a substantial amount of food, and I especially appreciate that they allow you to choose which roll comes with your meal.

The slices aren't thin, delicate, and melt-in-your-mouth as one usually gets in a sit down; they are extra thick, and I had to really bite down on some of the pieces. The rice was nicely seasoned and was cooked well + portions are also big to match those thiccccc salmon slices. To be honest, I was getting a little nauseated after 5 pieces, haha~ They were definitely delicious but I'd probably just eat 3 or 4 pieces and share with a friend! It was easy to text the number on the website and coordinate a pickup time, and the staff was friendly when I arrived. The restaurant is a little hard to find as the windows are blinded and the sign is a piece of paper on the door.

The katsu was very, very moist on the inside, with a crispy batter that was so light it was almost flavorless. I honestly couldn't really tell the difference between the tenderloin and pork loin. Overall the dish had a very light flavor and I added quite a bit of sauce and wasabi. Some of the less memorable dishes were the eggplant agebitashi and truffle rice. The eggplant agebitashi tasted like a cross between an eggplant parm and a bolognese. The truffle rice had a very strong truffle flavor that ended up overpowering everything else in the dish. I thought the slices of raw button mushrooms were a little strange. I really enjoyed the sabazushi. The pieces of mackerel were thick and carried a lot of that characteristic mackerel oily flavor, but the oiliness was cut by enough vinegar to balance everything out. The niku udon was also a surprise hit. The noodles were wide, flat, super slurpy, and the broth carried a deep umami flavor. Overall, I had a pretty solid experience here.
