It's the closest ayce sushi to us and it gets the job done when we are craving sushi! I love that they offer sashimi options as some ayce do not. Price is reasonable and have lots of options. It's located in a plaza which makes parking easy. Staff are good here as well!

I've been going to Sushi World for quite a few years now. It's a simple and delicious sushi restaurant. Their AYCE special is really worth the price. The kitchen is quick to churn out orders and the sushi has always been fresh and delicious. Recommend going with a couple of friends to help you finish off the sushi boats!

Everything was good some of the sushi were chewy and over sauced. But overall it was still delicious

Sushi World located in McCormick across the street from Home Depot. Sushi World is an AYCE Sushi for $23.95 @ lunchtime. The presentation is nice, the quality of the sushi is pretty good but the sashimi pieces are very thin. Like the old Wendy's commercial show me the meat or in this case show me the fish lol. I started w/some miso soup, 4 pieces of fried scallops, 2 pieces of crab Rangoon & seaweed salad. In addition I had 2 pieces of sake (salmon), 3 pieces of white maguro (tuna) & 3 pieces of hamachi (yellowtail (my favorite). After this I ordered 4 more fried scallops, 2 sake, 2 hamachi & another seaweed salad. Yan was my server she provided excellent service always there asking me if I needed something. I went to a different AYCE Sushi restaurant a few days ago where the server was non existent. Thank you Yan for providing excellent service for. The quality of sushi was good but the portion sizes were very thin, excellent service. Would I go back again? Yes Lately I've been on a sushi kick. This restaurant earned me my 26th badge as a SUSHI SENSEI & the first one in a very long time.

Ok I really do miss sushi buffets! I can kill a few rolls for sure. Well this is really cool. For less than $32 bucks with tax and tip it's an awesome deal. My girlfriend is a regular here and she loves it!! Definitely worth the 30 min trip for me to come out and meet her for lunch. I had quite a few appetizers. Vegetable tempura, seaweed salad, fried scallops, vegetable jar umami, and sesame balls!!! I could have stopped there but I ended up with 3 rolls!! And several pieces of sushi. Mind you. I was really hungry at the moment. Spider roll, Tokyo roll, salmon roll, and k would have gotten more but I resisted !! Next time I want to pay extra and get the dinner menu which is like only $5 more. So worth it!!! Service is spectacular. Very nice setting. Clean and crisp. Quick service. Plenty of parking. I'll be back for sure.

Sushi world is pretty decent. Their service is good and employees are attentive! The prices have gone up since they first opened, but are pretty good for the sushi options they have per menu. I wish they added different rolls to their menu though, so there's a bit of change. Of this trip's lunch ayce, I thought the sushi was okay. The rolls were pretty big and have a good amount of filling, but there was also a little too much rice. I enjoyed the salmon avocado roll the most because of the buttery texture of the avocado and salmon together. My least favorite was the spicy tuna. There really wasn't much spicy mayo and heat, and the tuna was a bit too mushy for me. I would've preferred it to be less finely ground. Overall, my brother and I ate our money's worth. Next time, I think I would pay the extra $5 for the dinner ayce menu so I can choose more signature rolls :)

Sushi world is yummy and they have a big menu to choose from, we are very close to trying every single roll that's on their menu!:) The service is constantly checking up on us and making sure everything is okay and the ambiance is really nice inside!

I ordered 4 rolls (Mango Tango, Crunchy 2 in 1, Dragon Roll, and King Kong Roll) from their To Go Special as I was craving for some fresh Sushi. The service was quick and the ordering process online is very simple. I went to the restaurant to pick up the order and the ambiance of the place was good! I have been wanting to try this place for awhile now. And finally i'm here. Of course we did the all you can eat. Lol Price is 28.99 per person and 18% tip is included if you are a group of 5. All you can eat includes Appetizers, Regular Rolls, Signature Rolls, Sashimi and Dessert Now the appetizers. I like the Shumai, scallops, and the Kani salad. I didnt like the seaweed salad it was kinda fishy for me. Miso soup was a bit bland. The California Roll is average for me. The shrimp lover and the crunchy crab meat was good tho. The signature rolls for me was good. But i honestly had better places.

The maki tastes fresh. The food was ready when I arrived. The space appeared clean, but I didn't dine in. I've come here before but didn't write a review. This has been my go to spot for sushi. It's convenient and the prices are reasonable.

$29 AYCE sushi place in Chicago! The service is fast. The food come out in 5mins (10mins for fried appetisers). The sashimi cuts are super thick!! The rice and sashimi ratio for the nigiri is perfect. Can tell the chef is very experienced because the shape/curve of the nigiri is perfect! The rice is dense enough that won't fall out of your chopsticks. The sashimi quality wasn't amazing but very worth the price! Would come back/recommend to friends.

Came here twice within a month of trying this place, and I love it. I come here for AYCE sushi, and their rolls are so large, fresh, and filling. Sometimes AYCE places give you lower quality sushi or the rolls are super small, but this place is so worth $23.99. They also have all of their appetizers included in the AYCE price, as well as all of the signature rolls. I also appreciate that they give you a menu so you can look at what each specialty roll has inside so not only can you see a picture of it, but you can see if anything is inside that you may not like. My favorite rolls include the "Crunchy 2 in 1" (salmon tempura, avocado topped w/ spicy crab meat & tempura crunch), "Crazy Salmon Roll" (spicy salmon & crunch topped w. fresh salmon & spicy mayo), and the "Angel Wings" (shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber topped w. crab meat eel sauce spicy mayo). As you can tell, I LOVE salmon and crab meat! Their rolls do have a good balance of meat and rice, unlike a lot of places that have way too much rice. I also love their edamame, even though it is extremely salty, their gyoza, and the crab rangoons. So delicious!! For such good quality sushi, the food comes out pretty quickly, and the staff is nice and always comes around to check on you. My second visit here was a little worse in customer service because she didn't check in as much and didn't really say anything to us, but they always come around to fill water cups. Looking from the outside, this place almost looks like a bar or a lounge. There are neon lights and signs that make me feel that they would have slot machines or something inside, so I was a little apprehensive to try it at first. However, my friends brought me here because they ate here before, and the inside doesn't give me a bar/sloppy vibe at all. It's pretty nice inside and it is very clean. Overall, I love this place and I will be back soon!

My friends and I always come here for sushi and it is always an amazing time. We know to come here with empty stomachs cause we'll be leaving bloated and happy. The price is amazing for the amount of sushi you can eat! My friends and I routinely order boats of sushi and we tear them down like we're Moby Dick. Highly recommend the Godzilla and volcano roll for newcomers. read more

One of the best sushi place. My wife and I really love their sushi because it use less rice than others. As you know, most of AYCE sushi place use huge rice ball to the sushi. This restaurant is AYCE, but the sushi quality is much better than regular sushi place. Also, their staffs are very friendly, and educated workers. Look at our dish yesterday. read more

Decided to try a new sushi spot. Upon entering place was fairly empty which usually is bot a good sign. Place is clean and modern. We were seated immediately and our drinks were taken. We opted for the AYCE sushi. We tried the Angel wings, godzilla, american, and spider roll. They all came out right away and were all great! This place is one of the best AYCE sushi places I have been to so far. At the end of your meal you get complimentary ice cream! Will def be coming back. read more

I've been wanting to come back to this place since I first tried it in 2021. Today I tried to take it easy with ordering sushi from the "all you can eat" menu, and order again if I'm still a bel to eat. I ordered Godzilla, California and fu... something with smoked salmon. Each roll came with 6 pieces, expect the fu... one, that came double the order for some reason. I tried one piece and I really couldn't make myself eat it. I think this is the first time I ever returned sushi. The waitress was sweet and went to the owner to I guess explain and ask if I could get something else instead. He came screaming at me and asking what is wrong with the food, to which I explained I really didn't like it and only ate one piece and would like something else instead. He was so angry and telling me he's working hard and this will now go to the trash and it's a lot of food. I understand, I hate to throw and waste food but I won't eat something I really can't eat, and they charge .50 cents per piece you don't finish if I'm not mistaken. I didn't ask for a double roll of it. He was trying to tell me I can only get one roll instead and that's it. Excuse me? Anyway, I ended up ordering two more Godzilla rolls. I got one roll at first and then the second, I'm not sure so I don't wanna accuse him but it seemed like the second one was made differently. It tasted differently too and he went back to get something but I didn't pay attention but remembered later when I was wondering if he remade my roll and just deep fried it. But again, I'm not sure so I don't want to accuse him. A little FISHY. Needless to say, I won't be coming back. And to the owner- if you work in the industry you need to accept the fact that some people won't like 100% of all of your food! Some food will go to waste. It's just is what it is. You need to keep your passive aggressive behavior to yourself or pay the price with losing customers. Which clearly must be the case as I was the only other customer other than a couple. And that at 12pm. I wonder why... read more

So this place has all you can eat sushi. If I come away from a place like that without getting food poisoning, that's at least a 3-star right there. I gave this place a four because the didn't skip, and I really appreciated their selection of sushi and sashimi - and they also offered sides on the all you can eat menu. The reason I did not give it five starts is because it did seam like the rice got a bit heavy. I understand this place is not meant to be the most high quality place around - it is very affordable - but I really would prefer a bit less rice. Some of the pieces were so large it was hard to fit in my mouth. And I have a big mouth! read more

Overall I had a good experience. The service was very good and friendly. The sushi (fish over rice) was decent but thought it had too much rice. The basic/simple rolls were very good (especially steak and eel roll). Their specialty rolls were ok but I think I will pass next time for they simple rolls. Although the rating is 4 star, i would give it 4.5 as an all you can eat sushi place. Will come again read more

Never got wrong with this place!!!! All the items on the menu are just crazy good. The options are plenty, service is good and pretty fast. Love the American Dream roll and the Green Tea cheesecake desert( very delicious). A great thing is that you can bring your own drinks as well. Price /quality can't beat that. For the pricing, this AYCE does just what is is supposed to! Ordering and being seated was no problem at all. The food came out in a timely manner, and all of the fish had a mild taste to it. Definitely the best ayce sushi place I've ever been. Everything tasted fresh and used the right amount of rice (I find that ayce places often use way too much rice when making the roll). Hands down the best nigiri!! Cuts are so thick and yummy. I'm a big fan of AYCE sushi. Sushi world is one of the best ones I have tried. Dinner AYCE is $22.99 which is cheaper than most other AYCE sushi restaurants. Their rolls are small and delicious! Most of other places would stuff the rice in their rolls to fill you up faster. But not here! Would recommend! read more

I'm in the Norwood park area and all of the sushi places near me are still not open for dine in. I was so excited to hear that Sushi World finally opened for dine in. I go there occasionally and never a disappointment. However, they do not provide wine glasses for BYOB according to my bf's brother who checked out the place when we told him to, which is odd. read more

All you can eat sushi is the best way to go when you're eating sushi for a meal. The sushi here is tasty and fresh. Service is pretty slow and inattentive so don't expect much there. I ordered the unagi, spicy tuna, shrimp lover, Godzilla, and crunch. They were all really good. I also had the miso soup, crab Rangoon, and green tea ice cream which is included in the AYCE deal. They have a parking lot which is nice. read more

Their sushi quality was great. I did all you can eat. Nigiri was impressive. I really liked Mexican roll. Spicy hamachi roll wasn't too good then I expected. Too much tempura crumbs in it. But generally it was great. Their all you can eat is everyday for ~$25 including tax. read more

Get the 3 roll lunch combo! for 11.99, it's one of the best sushi deals in Chicago! Spicy Yellowtail is a must! What you don't want to get is their matcha cheescake. Very expensive and frankly tasted like textured water. read more

I wanted to eat here. Came here right at opening. There were around 50 older people were waiting seeming to be with the same party. No one was there to greet and explain what was happening. The sushi chefs had a deer in headlights look. I was so looking forward to trying this place. read more

This place is a gem! Delicious food and great service. The fish is very fresh and the menu selection is huge. I love that the rolls are smaller than usual so you're not struggling to eat it all at once. Their rice to fish ratio is very good too so you're not overwhelmed by rice. I would recommend ordering the chicken yakitori appetizer and snow monster roll. read more

Normally I don't get sushi this far from the coast, BUT THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! This sushi was fresher than some places I've had right on the coast! Amazing selection to choose from for the all you can eat menu with a ton of amazing signature rolls! Buyer beware tho, don't let your eyes be bigger than your stomach cause they charge $1 for each piece that you take home (which is still an awesome deal if you think about how much each roll is)! I got way too stoned before I went in and ended up ordering 6 rolls and was only able to eat 3 Amazing service and even better food! I highly recommend this place! read more

Where do I begin? The service was kind of spotty, they only give you 1 menu for the entire table which made it a little inconvenient for everyone to select their sushi, and the food really wasn't that great. They put either spicy mayo or that damn tempura crunch in/around/on everything which doesn't even taste good. The rolls were pretty bland for what we paid for. Also, they give you a $2 discount if you pay cash, haha! Wow, a whole $2....gee thanks! They also serve shitty Pepsi products to save money obviously because no one likes drinking that battery acid except libtards and beta males. Their godzilla roll was by far the worst I've ever had and they should rename it the goat-zilla roll because when I tasted it, it was like a goat jumped in my mouth and passed gas...let me tell you...it was really baaaaad. Sorry for the bad joke, but even more sorry I didn't bring Tums. Anyway, God forbid you leave a bad review for this place because the owner's friends might flag the review as offensive or inappropriate to Yelp HQ. It is about 21 dollars for an all you can eat which is the price at most of these but the staff here was extremely nice! The manager actually came to us and asked us how everything was. The sushi is served on a boat which I thought was really cool. Definitely a place to return too with the family. They also have a lunch buffet which I have not tried yet but I will be back. My only complaint was they charge per roll that you do not eat. Also the parking is ample and free which makes things a lot easier. read more

I went there on the first day they opened. I usually went to Sushi Para 2 but they have become horrible and sushi world was very close to me so I decided that I needed a new sushi place. The owner and workers there were very very nice and great to have a conversation with. If you do go there you won't be disappointed. I suggest anything with salmon and shrimp tempura in it.
