It's the closest ayce sushi to us and it gets the job done when we are craving sushi! I love that they offer sashimi options as some ayce do not. Price is reasonable and have lots of options. It's located in a plaza which makes parking easy. Staff are good here as well!

I've been going to Sushi World for quite a few years now. It's a simple and delicious sushi restaurant. Their AYCE special is really worth the price. The kitchen is quick to churn out orders and the sushi has always been fresh and delicious. Recommend going with a couple of friends to help you finish off the sushi boats!

Sushi World located in McCormick across the street from Home Depot. Sushi World is an AYCE Sushi for $23.95 @ lunchtime. The presentation is nice, the quality of the sushi is pretty good but the sashimi pieces are very thin. Like the old Wendy's commercial show me the meat or in this case show me the fish lol. I started w/some miso soup, 4 pieces of fried scallops, 2 pieces of crab Rangoon & seaweed salad. In addition I had 2 pieces of sake (salmon), 3 pieces of white maguro (tuna) & 3 pieces of hamachi (yellowtail (my favorite). After this I ordered 4 more fried scallops, 2 sake, 2 hamachi & another seaweed salad. Yan was my server she provided excellent service always there asking me if I needed something. I went to a different AYCE Sushi restaurant a few days ago where the server was non existent. Thank you Yan for providing excellent service for. The quality of sushi was good but the portion sizes were very thin, excellent service. Would I go back again? Yes Lately I've been on a sushi kick. This restaurant earned me my 26th badge as a SUSHI SENSEI & the first one in a very long time.

Ok I really do miss sushi buffets! I can kill a few rolls for sure. Well this is really cool. For less than $32 bucks with tax and tip it's an awesome deal. My girlfriend is a regular here and she loves it!! Definitely worth the 30 min trip for me to come out and meet her for lunch. I had quite a few appetizers. Vegetable tempura, seaweed salad, fried scallops, vegetable jar umami, and sesame balls!!! I could have stopped there but I ended up with 3 rolls!! And several pieces of sushi. Mind you. I was really hungry at the moment. Spider roll, Tokyo roll, salmon roll, and k would have gotten more but I resisted !! Next time I want to pay extra and get the dinner menu which is like only $5 more. So worth it!!! Service is spectacular. Very nice setting. Clean and crisp. Quick service. Plenty of parking. I'll be back for sure.

Sushi world is pretty decent. Their service is good and employees are attentive! The prices have gone up since they first opened, but are pretty good for the sushi options they have per menu. I wish they added different rolls to their menu though, so there's a bit of change. Of this trip's lunch ayce, I thought the sushi was okay. The rolls were pretty big and have a good amount of filling, but there was also a little too much rice. I enjoyed the salmon avocado roll the most because of the buttery texture of the avocado and salmon together. My least favorite was the spicy tuna. There really wasn't much spicy mayo and heat, and the tuna was a bit too mushy for me. I would've preferred it to be less finely ground. Overall, my brother and I ate our money's worth. Next time, I think I would pay the extra $5 for the dinner ayce menu so I can choose more signature rolls :)

Welcome to Sushi World Who doesn't love a place to eat all the sushi they can eat!? That's why we love ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI! Sushi world is yummy and they have a big menu to choose from, we are very close to trying every single roll that's on their menu!:) The service is constantly checking up on us and making sure everything is okay and the ambiance is really nice inside!

I ordered 4 rolls (Mango Tango, Crunchy 2 in 1, Dragon Roll, and King Kong Roll) from their To Go Special as I was craving for some fresh Sushi. The service was quick and the ordering process online is very simple. I went to the restaurant to pick up the order and the ambiance of the place was good! I have been wanting to try this place for awhile now. And finally i'm here. Of course we did the all you can eat. Lol Price is 28.99 per person and 18% tip is included if you are a group of 5. All you can eat includes Appetizers, Regular Rolls, Signature Rolls, Sashimi and Dessert Now the appetizers. I like the Shumai, scallops, and the Kani salad. I didnt like the seaweed salad it was kinda fishy for me. Miso soup was a bit bland. The California Roll is average for me. The shrimp lover and the crunchy crab meat was good tho. The signature rolls for me was good. But i honestly had better places.

The maki tastes fresh. The food was ready when I arrived. The space appeared clean, but I didn't dine in. I've come here before but didn't write a review. This has been my go to spot for sushi. It's convenient and the prices are reasonable.

$29 AYCE sushi place in Chicago! The service is fast. The food come out in 5mins (10mins for fried appetisers). The sashimi cuts are super thick!! The rice and sashimi ratio for the nigiri is perfect. Can tell the chef is very experienced because the shape/curve of the nigiri is perfect! The rice is dense enough that won't fall out of your chopsticks. The sashimi quality wasn't amazing but very worth the price! Would come back/recommend to friends.

Came here twice within a month of trying this place, and I love it. I come here for AYCE sushi, and their rolls are so large, fresh, and filling. Sometimes AYCE places give you lower quality sushi or the rolls are super small, but this place is so worth $23.99. They also have all of their appetizers included in the AYCE price, as well as all of the signature rolls. I also appreciate that they give you a menu so you can look at what each specialty roll has inside so not only can you see a picture of it, but you can see if anything is inside that you may not like. My favorite rolls include the "Crunchy 2 in 1" (salmon tempura, avocado topped w/ spicy crab meat & tempura crunch), "Crazy Salmon Roll" (spicy salmon & crunch topped w. fresh salmon & spicy mayo), and the "Angel Wings" (shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber topped w. crab meat eel sauce spicy mayo). As you can tell, I LOVE salmon and crab meat! Their rolls do have a good balance of meat and rice, unlike a lot of places that have way too much rice. I also love their edamame, even though it is extremely salty, their gyoza, and the crab rangoons. So delicious!! For such good quality sushi, the food comes out pretty quickly, and the staff is nice and always comes around to check on you. My second visit here was a little worse in customer service because she didn't check in as much and didn't really say anything to us, but they always come around to fill water cups. Looking from the outside, this place almost looks like a bar or a lounge. There are neon lights and signs that make me feel that they would have slot machines or something inside, so I was a little apprehensive to try it at first. However, my friends brought me here because they ate here before, and the inside doesn't give me a bar/sloppy vibe at all. It's pretty nice inside and it is very clean. Overall, I love this place and I will be back soon!

One of my favorite sushi spots. Found this place a week ago and it's AMAZING! Staff is really nice, service was great. They even have a kids menu with was great because my 5yr old doesn't eat sushi so he got chicken nuggets and fries. read more

Really enjoyed this new all you can eat sushi spot! Our waitress was very friendly. The sushi was delicious! Great selection of nigiri and maki rolls to choose from. The rolls were great sizes, not overstuffed with rice or cucumbers but with fresh fish. I would definitely come back here, my new AYCE sushi! read more

This is the BEST sushi restaurant around town! If you're going to splurge, this is the place to do it at. They've got an all-you-can-eat menu for a very reasonable price. My boyfriend and I go there almost every week and have tried most of the things on the menu. Everything is DELICIOUS! Best of all, they always deliver excellent customer service. We stopped in at random and found a bright, clean and friendly sushi place that we will go back to for as long as they stay open. The All You Can Eat offer drew us in, and a lot of places that make that offer use it to move "old" stock; Ben (the owner) made my Sushi and Rolls with the freshest ingredients; wonderful, flavorful and extremely, extremely fresh. His staff made sure we were always taken care of, and we left full, satisfied, and content to find such a wonderful place so close to home. read more

Not bad for all you can eat sushi but being an all you can eat, the servers didn't allow us all you can eat. I went with 2 of my friends on a Friday night and it wasn't very crowded, just us and 3 or 4 other tables. We ordered off the checklist and had 7 rolls checked, when the waiter came they only brought us 5 and we never got the other 2. So second round we ordered 6 but only got 5. Plus there is a limit to how many scoops of ice cream you can have. I thought it was an all you can eat? read more

This place is fantastic! My husband and I came here twice in two weeks and we definitely plan to be back. Where else can you get a boatload (literally) of sushi for $22 (dinner) or $16 (lunch)? The fish is fresh and never tasted fishy-coming from a person that does not like to eat fish other than sushi or ceviche. The selection is also very diverse. Food is very filling and very good. Happy to have this found this place and plan to make many more trips here. read more

I'm skeptical about the negative review from someone who said they waited 30 minutes for their appetizers. That's simply preposterous. On a typical day here, there are more staff than customers at any given time. It makes you wonder if these negative reviews are fake. The manager practically does backflips to make customers happy, I've seen him. The sushi chefs are approachable and talk about the fish and the methods of preparation. The sushi and rolls are of standard style and of good quality and presentation. Tonight's white tuna was excellent, for example, the salmon was supple and fresh, and the regular tuna was just passable. The shrimp were fine too. The rolls were well executed with vibrant fresh cillantro and radish. And all the sushi you can eat for 21 bucks? Come on. It's the bargain of the century considering two pre-made rolls at the Whole Foods refrigerated sushi case featuring undercooked rice will set you back 22 bucks. Sushi World is a serious steal. Go now before it gets too busy. Compared to Renga Tei, Sushi world shines. Here you can ask for a spicy scallop role off menu and they'll come up with something great. At Renga Tei in Skokie, when I asked for a spicy scallop role, off menu, they first looked at me as if I had asked them if I could bite their children's eyes out of their heads, and then they charged me 16 dollars for a spicy scallop roll that looked like it was made by an artist in residence at a hookah bar. read more

I went here and noticed a few things about them leaving the fish out on the counter and not in the refrigerated space. I ordered sushi with spicy tuna.... and let me tell you... whatever that thing was it was NOT tuna. Not even 2 hours later I started feeling the effects, save you the details but I had to call off work the next day due to food poisoning.... if you want sushi, do not and I mean DO NOT go to this place. What an awesome place! Such kind and courteous workers, phenomenal tasting food, and incredible prices. The Triple Spicy Sushi Entree is a huge bang for your buck, and the Miso soup/ginger dressing combo on the salad hits the spot on a cold day. Definitely my new favorite sushi stop! read more

In all honesty, don't come here if you like sushi. Just because it's ayce doesn't mean you should sacrifice quality. The pictures make it look way better than it actually tastes. The sushi is extremely bland, I got two specialty rolls and one spicy salmon roll. None had any flavor. I had to add wasabi and soy sauce to every piece to make it taste like something. You can find way better sushi at many other restaurants in the city. I'm not a picky or high maintenance customer but I'm pretty disappointed with my meal and that I spend money on something that bad. The only reason I finished my meal was so I wouldn't have to pay for the leftover pieces. I added one star because the server was polite. read more

Was there for 2 hours and 15 minutes for all you can eat. It was ridiculous. Got one plate of sushi to start about 40 pieces. We ordered about 20 pieces for the second plate. After about an hour I asked where our second plate was. We were told that we ordered too much food but it was taking longer than it should. It took another 20-30 minutes for the second plate to come out and after I asked where our food was so it was about an hour and 15 minutes after the first plate. They clearly forgot about our table and then tried to blame us for it for taking longer and saying we ordered over 50 pieces for our second plate. It's all you can eat. I didn't know that means you can only get one plate and a second plate for a family of 7 is considered "too much". Definitely do not recommend going here for sushi as the service is horrible. read more

First timer yesterday with kids, very good quality sushi. Everything was served at the temp it was suppose to. Crab Rangoons were the best I've had. A lot of variety tried a variety of food. Serve was very good, friendly and professional. Kept checking in and kept our drinks full. We will definitely be back for more!! read more

Went for dinner and it was not too busy for a Sunday evening. Sushi was very good but service was very slow. On our 2nd order it took them over an hr to bring it out. I believe the waitress forgot to put our order in. Which is the reason I'm giving them only 4 stars. Service needs to speed up. read more

Came in today with a few co-workers and really liked it. I had the 2 Maki lunch special for $8.95! It comes with salad and miso soup. Then I chose the shrimp tempura and eel with avocado. Both were delicious! We didn't have enough time but I'll be back to try the AYCE sushi. read more

What an excellent find! Have now been here 3 times & they offer more than just "all you can eat" sushi. They have nigiri & rolls, a wide variety of appetizers, fried rice, tempura, ramen & udon. Very good tasting & reasonable. Tucked away in Lincoln Village shopping Ctr. so need to look for it. Enter from McCormick. read more

was on our way to a different restaurant and was closed so i bust out my yelp and saw this in my bookmark and its across the street... so we came and gave it a try... it was not busy at all when we went... maybe 1 more table of customer there... the staff was friendly...we did the ayce... least to say... we were disappointed... we have tried tons and i mean tons of sushi buffets.. and this one were a let down... the sushi breaks apart easy.. some of the sushi didnt compliment well with the ingredient choices... read more

I have seen and heard about this place tried it today . Took my high school graduate and his siblings out to eat. We wanted to try the all you can eat sushi. I am a very patient person until a certain point. Came out of my son graduation stopped and everyone was hungry. Seating was really quick. Waitress came out and asked us what we wanted to drink we got or drinks. Than it took us a few calls before she took our food order. Than took about 20 min for appetizers. 45 min into service still waiting on my 6 year old chicken teriyaki dinner may I tell you is on separate menu that come from the kitchen. We asked how long our order would be waitress didn't have a clue. Than we asked how long for babies food still no answer. 1 hr into service got fed up and asked to pay for what we got so we could leave. Left with everyone hungry and really upset . Would have been nice to at least get the babies food out. Please think of the little ones in the future. Don't think I'll be coming back. Sorry place was nice. read more

Butter Cake (5/5): omg this is a MUST, one of the best butter cakes I've had. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Chicago!

No person was taking my order, nobody was actively 'serving' me in the traditional sense. Yet in the end I was presented with a terminal, in the hand of a person directly looking at my tip choice, with no quick button for 'no tip'. Perhaps the option was there, but it was so obscure I couldn't find it quickly. If it's a paper signature slip, it's still considered uncouth today to hover over the customer while they write the tip in. What are we doing here? It is literally a conveyor belt sushi, yet tips starting at 18% is clearly still expected. This practice tarnished the experience for me.

Where do I begin? The service was kind of spotty, they only give you 1 menu for the entire table which made it a little inconvenient for everyone to select their sushi, and the food really wasn't that great. They put either spicy mayo or that damn tempura crunch in/around/on everything which doesn't even taste good. The rolls were pretty bland for what we paid for. Also, they give you a $2 discount if you pay cash, haha! Wow, a whole $2....gee thanks! They also serve shitty Pepsi products to save money obviously because no one likes drinking that battery acid except libtards and beta males. Their godzilla roll was by far the worst I've ever had and they should rename it the goat-zilla roll because when I tasted it, it was like a goat jumped in my mouth and passed gas...let me tell you...it was really baaaaad. Sorry for the bad joke, but even more sorry I didn't bring Tums. Anyway, God forbid you leave a bad review for this place because the owner's friends might flag the review as offensive or inappropriate to Yelp HQ. It is about 21 dollars for an all you can eat which is the price at most of these but the staff here was extremely nice! The manager actually came to us and asked us how everything was. The sushi is served on a boat which I thought was really cool. Definitely a place to return too with the family. They also have a lunch buffet which I have not tried yet but I will be back. My only complaint was they charge per roll that you do not eat. Also the parking is ample and free which makes things a lot easier. read more

I went there on the first day they opened. I usually went to Sushi Para 2 but they have become horrible and sushi world was very close to me so I decided that I needed a new sushi place. The owner and workers there were very very nice and great to have a conversation with. If you do go there you won't be disappointed. I suggest anything with salmon and shrimp tempura in it.
