We came for dinner on a Friday night and thought we were going to have a long wait due to the size of the restaurant. It has a nice intimate feel, with outdoor seating as well as sushi bar seating. We were seated at the sushi bar near the exit of the restaurant which was nice to be seated with some space. This didn't change how quickly or how often we were served. There were 2 servers who helped us and both were very friendly. When we visit new sushi restaurants, we order pretty much the same items and a couple different. The new items were the DJ tuna and the beef mandoo. Both were very good but the DJ tuna wasn't my favorite due to the ratio of tuna to pepper and cream cheese. They give you a menu, but the QR code has pictures of every dish. We ordered the oysters, baked mussels, Canadian clam nigiri, jumbo scallop nigiri, a dragon roll, and a lemon salmon roll. My favorite was the jumbo scallop nigiri. It is really big and the scallop was so tender. The Canadian clam nigiri was also really good. My mom got the bulgogi bento and I got the soy curls bulgogi. We also had an order of the veggie mandoo and the seaweed salad. What I could eat - I haven't tasted the bulgogi flavor in a while so it felt on the sweeter side to me. However, I still remember that it's how it should be and it wasn't overly sweet so I was still okay with it! I just added a but of soy sauce to my rice to balance it out. The seaweed salad was crisp, bright, sweet, and tangy! We love this type of seaweed salad so it's always a joy to get. I was a little scared of the veggie mandoo at first because when I cracked it open, it looked like there was meat inside. That was until I remembered they had soy curls here!! They chopped that up and added it into their filling. The mandoo was hot, crispy, and very tasty. I loved it :D The tenpura that I shared with my mom from her bento was tasty too. Crispy, crunchy, and fresh tasting. It didn't taste too oily. My mom seemed to throughly enjoy her bento, which I'm glad because she can be picky. I enjoyed the Alaska and Caterpillar rolls far more than the sushi that we ordered. So, in my humble opinion, order more rolls here to get a good experience than the sushi. I also didn't know that this is more of a Japanese/Korean restaurant, which to me is a bit of a turn off. If I want sushi, I expect Japanese sushi (not Korean). This place is rather small. We would've had to wait for a table seat, so we opted in for the counter. There were only a handful of table seats, as the other option was a high table, so the seating options were very limited. I The restaurant is pretty small and we were seated on the counter but the counter space was so small that it was kind of hard to eat. I didn't know this restaurant was a Korean and Japanese fusion so it was interesting to see both foods on the menu. We ordered the K-Dak, a roll, and a few different pieces of sashimi. I really enjoyed the K-Dak, which is their take on the korean fried chicken. The sweet chili sauce on this dish was so good. We decided to stop by after hearing all the hype and had to check it out for ourselves. I arrived just before the rush and was seated immediately, which was nice. However, the restaurant is quite small and a bit cramped--that's my only complaint. I could hear the conversation of the people behind me the entire time, making it hard to talk to my own family sitting right in front of me. But once the food arrived, the noise and cramped space didn't matter anymore. The assorted sushi plate was good, but kinda pricey for the amounts of sushi. Parking is rough, since its Pasadena, and it a very same place, so the seats and table were small, so not the most comfortable place to. I probably wouldn't go back due to the tightness of the tables, parking and the amount of other sushi places, that would fit the needs of a bigger family. First time eating here tonight. We joined the waitlist online and were seated right away when we got here. They were busy and possibly short staffed. The new norm at almost every restaurant. It took about ten minutes for our waitress to get to our table. I felt like it was going to be a hassle to get her attention so I placed our order in one shot. I was right. Sometimes I feel bad for making a big deal about customer service but also I know thats a very important part of running a business, so writing about it will let the owners know how the customers feel.... There's hardly enough space for people to walk through, but a guy decided to bring his very large dog inside to visit everyone in the place for some reason. The dog was sniffing every customer it could. Not knowing what it might do, I got very close to the wall but couldn't avoid its mouth touching my legs and higher since it was a big dog. Came for an afterwork dinner with some coworkers and my cousin. I made a reservation for 6 of us, I was a little worried since it's small and cute inside but they accommodated very well! It is a Japanese Korean fusion with soups and sushi. Very delicious and flavorful. We started with drinks and a cheesey bulgogi appetizer that was very good. Sweet beef with onions topped with white cheese. We finished this before I could take a proper picture. You can see its remnants in the pics. I ordered the sushi B combo. It is a good amount of food! With drinks and an appetizer I had trouble finishing mine. The hot sake was tasty (only one size) and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal! Two of us got bento boxes and two of us got the sushi combos which came with a spicy tuna hand roll instead of a California roll which I appreciated! The other two got rolls and sashimi. It was quite busy on a Friday night, but the 5 of us were able to take over the bar after about a 15 minutes wait.  It was a bit hard for our group to chit chat, but service was quick & friendly. And whoa, the food ! We ordered quite a few things and they were all delicious! A few items that stood out were: Shishito Peppers cooked in soy sauce & garlic, yum! Salmon skin Salad with eel sauce Sushis : Salmon, Ono, jumbo scallops, blue crab, uni, sweet shrimp Truffle Delight Roll (no rice) I think in general this restaurant is better for small groups of 4 pp or less. The food was very yummy here! The sushi is fresh and the other dishes are very flavorful. I chose this place to try out because the menu was provided Japanese and Korean dishes. I tried both! The bulgogi with cheese was great but i wish they had kimchi to go with it. I know it's a sushi restaurant but since they have many Korean dishes, kimchi would pair great with meals and add that extra flavor. Also, whatever dressing they use for the salad, please keep using it! I would go again just to eat that salad again because the dressing was just that good! The miso soup is good, nothing out of the ordinary. I suggest grabbing the Korean fried chicken. It was crispy and tender with lots of sauce. The place is medium size and has nice decor that feels inviting. They have one restroom and it was also very clean. The waiter was prompt to take our order. Got seated right away at the sushi bar, it's very clean and pleasant ambience. Nothing super memorable but I remember it being nice. The service was also very friendly as well.
