Sushi Samba serves a unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian cuisines. The presentation of the food is beautiful and the food itself is delicious. Service was efficient and diligent. I asked for hot water and they gave it to me in a cute mug, complete with a slice of lemon. The restaurant opens out to the rest of the Venetian Resort so it gets loud, but the lighting and decor (beautiful art by a Peruvian artist) keeps the restaurant classy. Starting off with appetizers! The Brazilian cheese bread was soft and chewy, and I absolutely loved the truffle honey butter it came with. The rock shrimp tempura came in a bowl of tender bites and the sauce had a bit of a spicy kick to it. The gyoza were crispy on the outside with soft meaty filling inside, very tender and juicy. We got two sushi rolls, the tiger roll and the salmon avocado - both were great! The pork rib robata was definitely the favorite. The dish came in a surprisingly large portion of 6 ribs, glazed with a flavorful pineapple sauce, including little chunks of spiced pineapple. The meat was so tender and came off the bone easily. The ribeye robata was also pretty good, with a spicy barbecue sauce. For the entree, I got the tonkatsu ramen. It was also surprisingly large, with a good amount of pork belly, bamboo, and TWO halves of a marinated soy egg (usually I feel like ramen comes with only one half!). The soup broth was very rich, but a little too oily for my taste. For dessert, we got mochi ice cream to share, and they generously gave us 4 (instead of the usual 3) so that we could each have one. Two words: coconut rice. My family is in love with the coconut rice here and it's the first thing we think about when we're in town. It's not too sweet, perfectly nutty. A must try if you decide to dine in. I love the fusion the menu has to offer. My go-to is typically the plantain chips and the antichuchos. Can't go wrong with either the ribeye or seabass. There are also some amazing mocktails if you're sober or just want something nonalcoholic. The saffron-shiso-caipirnha was tasty! Service is always quick and we get seated pretty quickly even around dinner time. The lighting makes for a very intimate and cozy dinner. I especially love the clips of some of the Peruvian culture! I don't think the chocolate banana cake gets recommended enough. I would order it again over the rainforest. read more

Nice ambience, servers and waiters always had a nice big smile. I'm not sure if it was a new years special but they had a group of drummers and dancers do small performances. Some customers joined in on the fun and danced! Very fun vibes. Oysters are amazing and smooth. I really like the sauce it comes with. Tempura green beans are a good pick. A little salty but goes great with the truffle dip. We ordered edamame towards the end since the meat plate was very salty. Had hoped that the edamame would balance it. As I said earlier the meat plate was salty. The veggie with it was also very salty. However it was still flavorful and juicy. The Wagyu was wonderfully cooked. It was juicy and soft. It was a little over powered with the salt. The chorizo was the only sausage on the plate. The rib eye was tougher than the Wagyu. I wish they gave us a knife to cut the pieces. But overall great when you have another dish to balance the salt. They don't ask how you would like the meat cooked, so for people who like a certain rareness you'll need to speak up. Had the crispy rice roll, the pepper on the tip was a perfect kick. The drinks were absolutely amazing. Had the berry mocktail, it was just the right amount of bubbly and tangy. My favorite is the mango mocktail, they really picked the sweetest mango. And the size of the cup is larger than the berry mocktail. read more

Food is excellent but very limited veggie options especially if you do not want heavy carbs. Service lacking as well. Ordered a sake flight and doesn't care which direction to start and finish. Can't make coffee during dinner. Don't have enough 20 year tawny and still charged me for half and not comped. Music too loud to talk and prices too high for service level. Server doesn't know what they have that's unique and says everything is good. Worse they have a server speaking Chinese to us even though we speak English fine. Had a starter only with mushrooms and one poached egg and it was very earthy and flavorful. But couldn't find anything else that I can have or wanted and the server didn't try to ask questions. He just says okay and walks off. Anywhere I spend $300 for 4 the service is much more mature and empathetic. Bad experience overall. read more

Wife and I had a reservation for 8:30 pm on May 4'th, 2026 for a twenty-year anniversary dinner. We arrived a few minutes early and stood by the hostess station. There were two ladies working the station. I said "Hi" yet we were not acknowledged by either one. The shorter hostess was kind of glaring at us, and I now think it was because we were Hispanic and were speaking Spanish. A Caucasian couple without a reservation arrived and was promptly greeted and tended to. I had to step in and tell the hostesses that I had a reservation. Without any dialogue or explanation, the shorter hostess walked us to a table in the empty overflow bar area and sat us next to a couple of African American guys that had just smoked marijuana, so the smell was very strong. Initially, I thought that maybe the main dining area was too busy, but then questioned the purpose of making reservations. Then I noticed the Caucasian couple who didn't have a reservation get seated in the main dining room along with other walk-in customers. We were here for an important occasion WITH a reservation and got seated in the overflow area despite open tables in the main dining room. Why? I had to ask the waitress who was tending the bar to be moved to a different table. Eventually, the same shorter hostess moved us to the main dining area but we were already disappointed in the service and the visit. We have frequented this restaurant on many occasions and have spent thousands here. To be treated with blatant disrespect on such an important date was an insult to my wife and I. It's been over a decade since I last visited SUSHISAMBA. I was so pleased to get last minute reservations for dinner before our Jabawockee's show. Situated in a quiet corner of The Venetian, the ambience is very fun and it would make a good date night spot. However, the food (like much of the food on the strip) was sooooo over priced. Our total for some nigiri, one roll, and free dessert was over $150+. Nothing was particularly good compared to any other sushi spot either. The Tiger Maki roll was teeny such that the Kong crab was undetectable. The nigiri were priced at a premium but with just average quality and flavor. I did enjoy the sweet Santa Barbara uni. The birthday cream puff was a nice touch. To be fair, I had a lot of nostalgia from my visit many moons ago. My hopes were high as I remember being blown away by innovative desserts and high quality sushi (when I was a teen and not paying the tab). Got called last minute by a best friend cause her date messed up her night. Here I am to the rescue! Miso soup was good, can't really mess that up. Prime rib steak was chewy and fatty for the bday girl's liking. The sauce on the side that came with it was very good. Can't describe it but it's making my mouth water a little as I type this. Kind of like a light gravy, but sweeter and definitely complimented the steak. Of course the sashimi pieces that came out were really good! Thick cuts and high quality! Definitely savored these pieces. I didn't get a chance to try the oysters as birthday girl demolished them in a blink of an eye! So I think they were good. Overall experience was really good, despite being late. The bar staff really made sure we were taken care of and kept checking on us. The miso glaze was super sweet, I feel like it needed something else to negate the sweetness and the Peruvian corn didn't do it for me. I liked the yellowtail taquitos but each of those was $12 and you had to buy two. They were tiny! My mocktail was a really thick juice, I wasn't a fan. This is definitely one of my go to spots when craving Seabass. It's served on two skewers in a Miso glaze. Each skewer has three large pieces of seabass covering the entire skewers. Its always fresh and taste absolutely amazing. The food here is always on point but so to is the service. Kudos to my server Kelly who did an outstanding job. She definitely understands the importance of providing good customer service and the critical role it plays in obtaining and retaining customers.
