We found this Japanese-South American fusion place while wandering around the Venetian looking for food and it did not disappoint. We ordered an array of food, mostly based off of what the waitress recommended and they were all pretty good. I especially enjoyed the rock shrimp tempura, but everything was delicious. Great meal! Great service! Plan to spend a few hours to eat comfortably if you're in a group of more than 4 people. My favorite was the grilled sea bass skewer! One of the best things I've ever tasted! Hanger steak was also incredible and a good portion where each of us could have 2 slices among 4 people. Get the asparagus next to this one. The roles were all good. Not exceptional but I would still get a couple. The yellowtail ceviche was also replay good but not a very big portion. I would probably get 2 orders. Sushi Samba was a random but pleasant find. This not so hidden gem is located in the Palazzo Grand Canal Shoppes when entering from the bridge that runs over the street connecting to the Wynn property. It is easy to walk by as there are many restaurants throughout the resorts, many of which are overpriced and leave something to be desired as far as food quality and taste. This restaurant was not one of those. My wife and I ended up there randomly after wandering around the shoppes we wanted a place to grab a quick bite. This was one of the few restaurants around that were actually open for lunch so we decided to try it. The restaurant is a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisines. I usually don't like fusion foods like that as they tend to be poorly executed and more gimmicky than anything else, however, this restaurant delivered on the theme. The service was friendly from start to finish. We were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant had a nice relaxing atmosphere. It wasn't overcrowded and was quiet and easy to have a conversation in. The food was very well executed (highly recommend the ceviches, miso sea bass, and banana chocolate with the liquid toffee sauce). What was most impressive was our server. We had plans to eat at a buffet that night and so we didn't want to have too much for lunch. We had initially been interested in the tasting menu priced at $100 per person. Our server quickly pointed out that it is a good amount of food and probably not what we want if we're planning an all you can eat later that evening. He gave us great recommendations for food. There were a couple of other things we wanted to try but again our server recommended that we start with what we had already ordered and see if we want more later as we were going for a lighter lunch. To his credit he was absolutely right. We enjoyed every dish we had and the amount of food was just perfect. He didn't try to upsell us and even told us when to pull back when he though we might be over ordering. His honesty was refreshing and his recommendations were excellent. We ended up going back the next day for the tasting menu and fortuitously ended up with the same server! We decided to make reservations here for dinner before the Cirque du Soleil show at Treasure Island. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed, we were seated in a back dining room which was definitely full but didn't feel overwhelming. Our server explained to us that the food comes from different kitchens so it will arrive at different times - - no biggie for us but the person sitting next to us was very upset by this approach. The yellowtail and tuna ceviches were fresh but the dressing/sauce went with it didn't do much for me. The hamachi kama, for some reasons, the fish were a bit slimy. The el topo was okay. I like roll has some sweetness to help balance everything else. I think that was roll was not for me. The chicken à la brasa was good but I had better chicken à la brasa before and they were way cheaper and more flavorful. The highlights of the night were the gyoza and plantain chips. I could not stop eating the plantain chips. They were crispy but not super hard. The gyoza was full of filling, and juicy. Most of the dishes were tapas style and a bit pricy. Sushi Samba serves a unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian cuisines. The presentation of the food is beautiful and the food itself is delicious. Service was efficient and diligent. I asked for hot water and they gave it to me in a cute mug, complete with a slice of lemon. The restaurant opens out to the rest of the Venetian Resort so it gets loud, but the lighting and decor (beautiful art by a Peruvian artist) keeps the restaurant classy. Starting off with appetizers! The Brazilian cheese bread was soft and chewy, and I absolutely loved the truffle honey butter it came with. The rock shrimp tempura came in a bowl of tender bites and the sauce had a bit of a spicy kick to it. The gyoza were crispy on the outside with soft meaty filling inside, very tender and juicy. We got two sushi rolls, the tiger roll and the salmon avocado - both were great! The pork rib robata was definitely the favorite. The dish came in a surprisingly large portion of 6 ribs, glazed with a flavorful pineapple sauce, including little chunks of spiced pineapple. The meat was so tender and came off the bone easily. The ribeye robata was also pretty good, with a spicy barbecue sauce. For the entree, I got the tonkatsu ramen. It was also surprisingly large, with a good amount of pork belly, bamboo, and TWO halves of a marinated soy egg (usually I feel like ramen comes with only one half!). The soup broth was very rich, but a little too oily for my taste. For dessert, we got mochi ice cream to share, and they generously gave us 4 (instead of the usual 3) so that we could each have one. Two words: coconut rice. My family is in love with the coconut rice here and it's the first thing we think about when we're in town. It's not too sweet, perfectly nutty. A must try if you decide to dine in. I love the fusion the menu has to offer. My go-to is typically the plantain chips and the antichuchos. Can't go wrong with either the ribeye or seabass. There are also some amazing mocktails if you're sober or just want something nonalcoholic. The saffron-shiso-caipirnha was tasty! Service is always quick and we get seated pretty quickly even around dinner time. The lighting makes for a very intimate and cozy dinner. I especially love the clips of some of the Peruvian culture! As I said earlier the meat plate was salty. The veggie with it was also very salty. However it was still flavorful and juicy. The Wagyu was wonderfully cooked. It was juicy and soft. It was a little over powered with the salt. The chorizo was the only sausage on the plate. The rib eye was tougher than the Wagyu. I wish they gave us a knife to cut the pieces. But overall great when you have another dish to balance the salt. They don't ask how you would like the meat cooked, so for people who like a certain rareness you'll need to speak up. Had the crispy rice roll, the pepper on the tip was a perfect kick. The drinks were absolutely amazing. Had the berry mocktail, it was just the right amount of bubbly and tangy. My favorite is the mango mocktail, they really picked the sweetest mango. And the size of the cup is larger than the berry mocktail. read more

Wife and I had a reservation for 8:30 pm on May 4'th, 2026 for a twenty-year anniversary dinner. We arrived a few minutes early and stood by the hostess station. There were two ladies working the station. I said "Hi" yet we were not acknowledged by either one. The shorter hostess was kind of glaring at us, and I now think it was because we were Hispanic and were speaking Spanish. A Caucasian couple without a reservation arrived and was promptly greeted and tended to. I had to step in and tell the hostesses that I had a reservation. Without any dialogue or explanation, the shorter hostess walked us to a table in the empty overflow bar area and sat us next to a couple of African American guys that had just smoked marijuana, so the smell was very strong. Initially, I thought that maybe the main dining area was too busy, but then questioned the purpose of making reservations. Then I noticed the Caucasian couple who didn't have a reservation get seated in the main dining room along with other walk-in customers. We were here for an important occasion WITH a reservation and got seated in the overflow area despite open tables in the main dining room. Why? I had to ask the waitress who was tending the bar to be moved to a different table. Eventually, the same shorter hostess moved us to the main dining area but we were already disappointed in the service and the visit. We have frequented this restaurant on many occasions and have spent thousands here. To be treated with blatant disrespect on such an important date was an insult to my wife and I. Server doesn't know what they have that's unique and says everything is good. Worse they have a server speaking Chinese to us even though we speak English fine. Had a starter only with mushrooms and one poached egg and it was very earthy and flavorful. But couldn't find anything else that I can have or wanted and the server didn't try to ask questions.
