HORRIBLE Customer service! I came to have dinner with my boyfriend we got seated and ordered. We ordered seven items and received three of them. We waited for an hour for the rest of our items and never got them. We asked 3 of the waiters if they could check on our food and nothing!! A family and a couple that came after us had ate and were leaving by the time we had enough. It was ridiculous never once did they show any type of priority on our order after we asked three times. We ended up asking for the check and leaving to eat Canes down the street. The manager talked to us and all he offered us was a "sorry". Waste of time and money read more

Located right across from the movie theater in Downtown Burbank right next to entrance to the parking structure is Sushi Stop. Based on my first impression, i would say their quality is good while prices are reasonable, that wouldn't break the bank. We got 8 rolls, 5 appetizers, 1 edamame, 1 Teriyaki Rice bowl and few other things All for 80 or 90 dollars! (1/2023). Which is less than what we would normally pay at any other place. Service was ok too, clean tables and a very nice and kind waitress. That would almost instantly respond when we would ask something. It is not a fancy place at all however with both inside and outside sitting and adequate number of tables it is a good place to hang out with friends without breaking the bank! We ordered for to-go late at night and the servers got our order out on time. The sushi isn't by any means the best sushi you will ever have but it does taste good and for the price, the portions cannot be beat. Came here for dinner yesterday and overall had a good experience and would come again! The place itself is nice, located right across from AMC Burbank 16. The rolls were very good and fresh! They were reasonably priced but we saw why when they came out. The rolls were quite small in comparison to most other sushi places, with some I would say being half the size of others. But, they were still very tasty and, again, not horribly priced! We had a miso soup (which had nice sized pieces of tofu, something I really appreciated), the crispy rice spicy tuna, eel avocado roll, dynamite bay scallop roll, and the lemon salmon roll. All were very good and I definitely would get them again! Our server was very nice but towards the end of our meal disappeared a little and we ended up having to ask for the check after about 15 minutes of waiting but I honestly think she may have just gone for a break and it was just unfortunately timed, so by no means do I blame her for that! My partner and I came here on a whim for a nice dinner after climbing at Verdigo Boulders nearby and were surprised by how great the food, service, and prices were. We loved our meal- we got the crab special plate- and were shocked at how affordable it was. The server guided me through some of the shochu options which was fun to try. And again, crazy affordable for LA! This is a great dinner place for a chill date or night out, especially if you're trying to get a break from the crazy LA prices. Had a pretty crummy experience here during my last visit that left a sour enough taste that I wouldn't feel comfortable visiting again. Usually, they've been quick to serve and friendly. This review will have nothing to do with the wait time, as they were a completely full restaurant, so the wait time was understandable. Food quality was also good as usual. What I will comment on is service. We were treated very rudely by the wait staff and witnessed rudeness to other clientele as well. We ordered a curry chicken cutlet plate, and on the menu it says "Make it a large size for +$2.00!" Assuming we would get an actual larger portion of the plate, all they gave us was small bowl of rice. When we asked about it, they pointed out that "that's what large size means." Perhaps the menu should say "add a bowl of rice for +$2.00" instead of claiming the plate is a larger size! The wait staff told us to tell the manager, who wasn't there, so we said we would just include it in our Yelp/Google review, and the wait staff rolled his eyes, laughed at us and said "Yeah ok, no one cares about Yelp!" as he turned his back on us. We also noticed how they treated delivery drivers coming in to pick up orders. We understand being busy, but the wait staff yelled at the delivery drivers to get out of the restaurant and wait outside. These poor drivers were waiting at least 30+ minutes, as at least two were there when we sat down, and were still waiting after we finished and paid. All in all, take your business elsewhere, pretty good food isn't worth being treated like crap or how we've witnessed that they've treated other people. read more

I'm not sure what going on with this place. We walked up ordered food Togo and 40 minutes later nothing they keep telling us 10 more minutes finally I asked for a refund. The waiter told us the chef is difficult and doesn't want to communicate with us than fire him??! The management needs to do better is a chef is a problem then fire him. After 45 mins we just got a refund wasted our Sunday with no dinner. Also people sitting there were getting food when they just had sat if I would've know I would've just ordered food for there and asked for a Togo bag. So disappointed!!!!! read more

This is my first time at sushi stop Burbank. I got a garden salad to start and the dressing is just to salty totally unbalanced for my taste. I ordered a crunch roll and a vegetable tuna roll. Worst customer service and a useless manager! I arrived at SushiStop at 430pm and placed my order (7 different items). As time passed I luckily received 3 of those items but the others were no where to be found. After asking 3 different employees and speaking with the manager no luck I still wasn't able to get my food. By not it's already 545 and every other couple that came in with us was already gone and the new people who had camping in where already eating. I cannot believe that 4 people including a manager couldn't get me my food 1 hour and 20 minutes later. There has to be some system where they can speak to the chefs and tell them to PRIORITIZE an order for situations like I had but it seemed there weren't even nothing to try and speak with the chefs and just looked at receipts and left never again going here and I need a refund this is ridiculous and disappointing. read more

Stopped by here to try it out the other night with my boyfriend. I work near the one in Studio City, so I wanted to check out what the hype was all about. I was actually surprised that this place already had 3 stars and it was just starting out. My bf came with our friends a week prior and they said the food was good, so, now it was my turn to see :) For those of you not familiar to Burbank, you usually don't need to worry about parking, and even better, there's free parking everywhere! So don't worry about that! As far as food goes, it's actually pretty good. Smaller portions which obviously makes the price lower. And, the food is tasty! Seriously, the ingredients used are far better than your corporate sushi restaurant/franchises. With that said, the service... is a bit slow... also the new team members seem like they are just very inexperienced with serving and the menu in general. And that's okay (for now). I totally understand that, having been part of the restaurant industry for basically half of my life now lol. I rep server/restaurant manager lyfe. So, for those who may not have ever worked in this industry, I know it can be frustrating as the customer of an establishment. I think this place just needs a bit more knowledge and training management and sparks will fly. Like something I noticed was that ALL our food came out at once, and I did see that they had a lot of take out, but only 1 sushi chef that I could visibly see. And we ordered quite a bit because I wanted to try a bunch of stuff.. and we waited not tooooo long, but long enough that some people might get a little finicky. With that said, again, I think with better training, and more table touching from the employees, things will get better. The servers that were on were all very polite and kind. As long as I asked for something they brought it over and were courteous. So, for now, I will say it's 4 stars in my book.
