The food here is pretty good! I've been trying out a lot of Thai places around, and their quality is good. The yellow curry is sweet with a tad of spice for medium spicy. I would recommend getting spicy if you want a kick. Quire frankly the curry was too sweet at times without the rice. It only had potatoes and chicken inside, compared to other places that may also put in carrot, etc.. The portion is good, and it lasted me 2 meals. The sticky rice is amazing! The portion they gave was soooo worth it. They gave like a whole mango worth, and the sticky rice is soaked in sweet coconut milk. I highly recommend this! The price is a little steep compared to nearby Thai places (Siam Savory Thai Cuisine). The yellow curry is $12.99 at Suthathip, whereas it's $9.85. Maybe the fact that Suthathip is charging more is why they can maintain the same price on delivery platforms that charge 20-30% of the price per order. Overall, i will come back to try other dishes! This place smells like a bathroom. I felt like I was literally eating in a bathroom. Gross. The food was also the worst Thai Food I've ever had. I guess the location helps them get away with this. The meat on my spicy beef salad was super questionable. Noodles over cooked and no flavor for the Tom yum. Crazy priced for gross food and mediocre service. When I ordered food here from Postmates, I had such great service and the food I received was DELICIOUS! Like, one of the best Thai food I've had! The fact that the restaurant was close to my house was the cherry on top. I had the chicken pad Thai that was the perfect amount of spiciness, and was SUPER savory. The crispy pork fried rice was heavy but absolutely delicious, with thick crispy pieces of pork strewn in to the fried rice. The mango sticky rice was also my favorite, where they gave me lots of fresh and ripe cubes of mango! I placed a phone order for pickup this afternoon, I ordered the chicken pad Thai, mango sticky rice, and beef pad Thai. For a Saturday late afternoon (around 5:30 pm), there was no other guests inside the restaurant. My order was ready to go at the time I was given. To my dismay, I didn't receive as much mangos as I did before which was fine--still good, anyway! Both the chicken pad Thai and the beef pad see ew in my order was unfortunately, very bland. Barely any flavor, let alone any salt; the protein was cooked nicely but it lacked that same flavor profile and spice level that I first tasted from my Postmates order. Have been going to this Thai restaurant for many years. In the past, their food has been consistently good but their food has been a hit or miss lately. :( Usually get pad thai. Past few times their pad thai has not tasted great so have not been getting their food but decided to try again recently... so sad... it was not good again. They are takeout only right now, and diligently following COVID protocols, using tables to barricade entry, clean/used pens, plentiful hand sanitizer, etc. First visit: RED CURRY w/ chicken: My favorite of all the dishes I have tried at Suthathip Thai so far. Also by far, the best red curry I've had! Super fresh, clean, vibrant flavors, quality ingredients, chock full of fresh bamboo. I really enjoyed it! I ordered it hot. Excellent. SPICY FRIED RICE (I think I got with chicken): I was expecting something red; I got something brown. Lots of basil. It was decent! Would have preferred a softer texture with the rice. DRUNKEN NOODLES (I think I got it with shrimp): It was clumpy, but still pretty good. Similar taste profile as the spicy fried rice. THAI BBQ CHICKEN: It was your classic Thai BBQ chicken, using higher quality chicken, I feel. Not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Second visit wasn't as mindblowing as the first, and portions were smaller: GREEN CURRY w/ chicken: I got this because I was so enamored with the red curry, and wanted to try out another curry. It was good; red was much better. I ordered it medium spicy. SPICY SEAFOOD PLATTER: It was "soupier" than I had anticipated. Don't need to order again. PAPAYA PAD THAI: Got this because it is unique to Suthathip. Wish it had a better description on the menu. Basically it's pad thai that uses green papaya in lieu of rice noodles (not in addition to rice noodles). I suppose it would be an option for those avoiding carbs, although still includes a whole lotta sugars (wouldn't be Whole30-friendly). I look forward to working my way through the menu. Came here for lunch. They weren't crazy busy. The food was out really fast. The lady working there was very nice and checked on us a few times. The portions of the food are not large but it was filling and tasty. Extra charge for brown rice. I got the duck curry. There was a lot of excess skin in there. But otherwise really good flavor. Love coconut milk based curries. Fyi if you can't handle your spicy you might want to stay away from the red curry because even though they toned it down to a mild level it was still spicy. Solid Thai food in the area! We ordered the Tom kha soup, pad Thai, and red curry. Everything tasted authentic and had lots of flavor. The beef in the curry was a tad tough. Service was great! They often came by and refilled our waters and asked if we needed anything. The only thing I would recommend is that they updated their prices on the menus. When I paid, some of the prices like the curry was different than what was written on the menu. Prices are what you would expect nowadays- about $12-$15 per dish. The pad see ew with crispy pork is terrible! The pork is not seasoned at all! The noodle is too salty. My wife has the Pad Thai with crispy pork as well. i been to this place countless number of times, i'm surprised i don't have a review on it... this is one of my favorite thai restaurants in Anaheim, since the service is friendly, food is good and the price is fair. One of the best things about this place is that they have lunch specials even during the weekend. Which is rare... the lunch specials are nice since it comes with an entree, soup or salad and a small crab rangoon. I went with the pad Thai. (But I will be going back for the green curry!) I ordered the shrimp, based on the employee's recommendation and the portion was generous. There was so much shrimp. Sorry that most of you like this place. I am spoiled, I used to get AUTHENTIC beautiful Thai food in LA COUNTY. This place's Thai food is so far away from good AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD it's ridiculous. This place's Thai food was gross and I couldn't eat it -- They used the wrong spices and the wrong mushrooms in the Tom Kha Gai soup and the soup was all wrong. The Pad Thai was also gross and not even close to the other AUTHENTIC Pad Thais I have had at other Thai restaurants. Pad Thai is what Americans think of when they think of Thai Food, you would think they would get it right. My Hollywood restaurant's owner used to feed the homeless who would wait outside. This restaurant also gave UNLIMITED THAI TEA. The other restaurant I went to we would get a whole tureen of Tom Kha Gai soup for $5.95 and 2 people could get 2 servings. This restaurant also had awesome Thai Tea with Boba I like the mushy gross Boba this restaurant served. I also had awesome Thai food in Kingman, AZ - awesome, awesome food. I wish I lived in Kingman so I could eat this food every day! This place is totally NOT WORTH the money especially when you can't even eat it. Do yourself a favor and go to LA COUNTY or Kingman AZ and get yourself some AUTHENTIC THAI food that is worth the money. This place ain't it. read more

I went there to celebrate my sister's birthday for lunch. The restaurant is in a small shopping center in the heart of Anaheim Hills. The parking was okay during the mid day. The restaurant is not very large, perhaps maybe a half dozen tables and 4-5 booths. The decor is not very exciting but it's clean and pleasant. They have some outdoor dining but who wants to sit outside next to the parking? We were seated immediately and the service was okay...only one server. The only negative thing was that we ordered fried tofu and mixed vegetables which was okay because it was too much food. We ordered tempura and egg roll appetizers. We ordered shrimp glass noodles, house fried rice and ginger steamed fish with cabbage and mushroom. The food was well plated and seasoned well. We live in Anaheim Hills but this was the first time we have been to this place. The restaurant had a good menu and our overall experience was good, not great. Tom yum soup taste like lemon. Crispy pork belly was very dry. Ordered green thai tea but got regular thai tea, server said "I heard thai tea.. so you don't want it?!" Not a nice tone. Got asked to pay and leave at 7:50pm. They close at 8pm i think. Not that we had planned to stay past closing time, but I've been to many thai restaurants and none of them rushed us out. Once again we were led astray by these high stars! My husband was having a craving for Pad Thai and based on the reviews and some photos we saw, he drove out of his way to come here for takeout. Unfortunately the pad Thai noodles were TERRIBLE and have zero flavor, and the overall bill was expensive. It was a big waste of money and effort to come here. I would say one of the worst Thai food we have ever had, and really expensive ($13.50 before tax for just the pad Thai). You can see from the photo that the pad Thai doesn't even have the usual tamarind orange color, and it also tasted completely bland. They had a combo when I ate here, it came with rice, soup and choice of protein. The other person in my party ordered their combo and had Pad Thai with Tofu and spicy soup. They put some soup over the rice which is why it looks seasoned in the picture. It came plain originally. I had their Pad See Ew with Chicken and personally I didn't enjoy it, I thought it had a weird after taste, but the other person thought it was fine. I liked the Pad Thai much more as I thought it was more flavorful. Maybe I thought the Pad See Ew was lacking a little in flavor. The soup was also good and I enjoyed it with the rice.
