The ceviche is better than the sushi. The food alone probably would have earned a 4 or 5, but the service was just so awful. She forgot our chopsticks (but they were in her pocket). She forgot our corn nuts (but other tables had them). She got our order for the sushi roll(s) wrong when I tried to correct her three or four times. She brought us too many rolls and inflated our bill. It was also just too much food, but we didn't want to be impolite and send it back since she already had the kitchen make it and bring it out to us. She also never refilled our waters. I don't know what her problem was. There was no language barrier. She wasn't openly rude or hostile. I was starting to think that maybe she just hated us and was deliberately giving us worse service in a passive-aggressive way. There's almost no room inside, but they have outdoor seating. I don't know if I'd go back in person though. Maybe delivery, but there are also lots of other options-- competition is fierce for restaurants in Brickell. And when the service is so bad that it's actively impairing the enjoyment of the meal, my lingering feeling is mostly disappointment. I wish I would have taken more photos of our food, but it was too yummy that I had to eat before the camera did. Stayed in Brickell during our stay in Miami and came across SuViche which was walking distance from where we were staying. They had a small indoor seating and small outdoor seating patio, but that wasn't a problem at all since we got attended to and sat down right away. We had a few of the sushi rolls which were absolutely delicious, but the most delicious plate of them all was the green ceviche. The flavors, the spice, everything was just right. It was so good that we came back again the next day just for the ceviche. If you're visiting the brickell area, def recommend checking this place out. VERY unique and delicious sushi. I have ordered takeout several times from here and have always enjoyed their very interesting takes on Latin inspired sushi. They always take extra care when packaging for delivery and everything arrives beautifully presented and plated as if you were sitting in the restaurant. I especially enjoyed the truffle roll and I love that you can order huancaina sauce (my favorite) with everything. This dish didn't make much sense to me. I got a bowl of seafood in what was halfway between a sauce and soup in both quantity and viscosity. The toppings included a lot of hard, dry elements like corn, corn nuts, and plantain chips that didn't do much to soak up the sauce. I'll start with the positives: Suviche had great service, and their COVID precautions were the best I've seen anywhere. They have the QR code to scan on a sticker on the table, so you don't have to touch it. Even the bill came with a touchless option to scan it and pay on their website. I wish more places would do this. Also, the drinks were very reasonably priced for the area. Unfortunately, the food just didn't do it for me. I like sushi, and I like Peruvian food, and I actually even liked another sushi/Peruvian fusion place I visited in another city, so I had high hopes for SuViche. We tried three different rolls rolls. They were all covered in copious amounts of mayonnaise and other sauces that covered up the taste and texture of the other ingredients. My favorite of the three was the tataki, because they put the tuna on top, and you could actually taste it if you ate it separately from the rest of the roll. We wanted to support a local business so this was a great deal. We ordered the ceviche, chaufa, cruda verdad roll and spicy tuna roll. All the items were included in the deal, but you can also order from the regular menu. Delivery fee is $3. The food came very fast so that was good, but unfortunately, I did not enjoy it all. The sushi rolls and the ceviche were very bland. Honestly, I couldn't even eat the ceviche. The chaufa was tasty so we were able to at least eat that for dinner, but I stayed hungry. Okay happy hour in Brickell. Came here during COVID times and dined outside. The tables in the main outdoor dining section were clumped rather close together so we opted for one of the tables further away. I was expecting the usual spicy tuna crispy rice dish, but was pleasantly surprised to taste avocado and lime in the Crispy Rice Croquettes. For the Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll, I wasn't a fan of how the spicy tuna was plain tuna with Sriracha dotted on top rather than mixed into the tuna. The Almost Perfect Roll was alright. The best part about this meal was the service. Our waitress was really personable and attentive even though we were sitting far away from the main dining area. Having a craving for Peruvian food, specifically Aji De Gallina, (shredded chicken breast with potatoes in a yellow cream sauce) I decided to order takeout. I ordered a couple other items as well. Lomo Saltado Bites and Shrimp Ceviched. Both were good, reasonably priced, and had some nice flavor. The Aji De Gallina stood out for me. A generous portion of chicken and potatoes with crushed walnuts. I've ordered this dish many times at various establishments and this one definitely stood out. One of the better ones I've had. I always seem to have a pleasant experience here. Be aware that it is a smaller location than some of the others, and it does not serve mixed drinks. However, there is beer, wine and sake to choose from. A plus for this location is I find the sushi rolls to be bigger than the those at the Wynwood location. It does have a daily happy hour- I'll include a pic. As for the food, I think it is tasty and fresh. The items are brought out as they are prepared. Some of my favorite food dishes include the Almost Perfect Roll and the Arroz Chaufa. The rice dish is incredibly tasty and hard to stop eating. The portion is big enough for two people for sure. One item I wasn't too impressed with was the Lomo Saltado Bites. I wouldn't really describe them as a wonton.. but that's my opinion. However, I can't waittttt to try the Saltado entree.
