Bad customer service. Went in to repair two front shocks on my vehicle and was called a day later saying my cv axle was cracked when I had lifted the car up myself a few days prior and saw it was not. Then was charged a large fee to repair it. Basically, they damaged my cv axle while repairing the front shocks and charged me money to fix it. Was able to confirm this after going to a different mechanic. Would not reccomend. read more

Ive spoke to them prior and they seemed very pleasant. However, I have my vehicle currently at a Mercedes Dealership and the dealer told me I need to get a couple hoses replaced. I felt confident Suwanee Auto Repair can replace them. So I called to simply compare prices . Upon 1st call Sean told me to just bring it in. I was clear telling him EXACTLY what needed to replace and can he please give me quote. He gave me a great song and dance how they would do this and that free of charge and get right back to me. I felt taken care of. Great. 4 hours later I call back to get "oh sorry we been busy' I let him know no worries just need a quote and I don't want to "drop" it off as he said that would "Speed the process" Again just simply asked for quote and said I didnt want to drive 30 minutes from dealership until i knew the price diff. HE then asked me 'where do you live somewhere way out there'(snarkly) I don't see why it matters. After telling him I was in auto biz and simply just wanted a quote. If its less I'll bring my car there period. He then asked me "well what is the quote" I told him to have a nice day. If a company cant get back with you as promised or plays games giving you the info as to see how much they can get away with charging you or get you in their show room like a car salesmen would do to make it harder for you to say no, NO THANK YOU. I have 4 cars with kids included and have no problem turning them over to someone but only someone I can trust. This guy doesn't seem to be that guy plus he was kind of a smart ass for a manager. Update: My girlfriend has not been driving the car to work because we know that it is not safe to drive after having it serviced at Suwannee auto repair. We have driven the car less than 150 miles after getting it back from this place. I took it down the road to Walmart today after work and could feel the car not shifting properly or accelerating properly. Upon stopping at a stop sign I tried putting the car into park and back into drive in an effort to help, and the car just shut off. Thankfully I was able to start it again, but the car was not shifting properly and I barely made it up the driveway back to my house. Suwannee auto repair worked on the coolant and the flex plate. Now the coolant is leaking way worse and the transmission seems to be malfunctioning. Save yourself time, money, and headache. Do not bring your car here. We brought in my girlfriend's car for a cracked flywheel. They told us she needed to have multiple hoses replaced because she was leaking coolant. It cost an extra 800 dollars. We spent a total of 1900 dollars here. We did not bring in the car for a coolant leak repair. We had to put in coolant maybe once every few weeks, and we were fine with that. They originally said they noticed the leak when "some coolant dripped onto their mechanic's neck as he was working on the transmission". Later they would claim that we told them about the chronic coolant issues when we bought the car in, but we did not. When I picked the car up it was low on coolant; The car was just recently turned on after sitting in their lot and the coolant in the reservoir was below the minimum line. The manager, Rick, said it was an "air bubble in the system". I refilled it, and a few days later, after about four hours of driving, it needed coolant again. We called them and they refused to consider that they could have made the problem worse, or that some error could have been made by the mechanic. They took the car back after the original repair and swore they could not find a coolant leak after driving it for 20 miles and running it for hours -- Rick admitted that based on the rate at which the car was losing coolant when we drove it they should have seen a loss after running it for a few hours (So why didn't they? It's certainly leaking quickly because we had to add more coolant this morning). He said it may be internal, burning up in the engine, and they don't want to "take the engine apart" to find out. They swear they did nothing wrong but they can tell me whatever they want because I don't know anything about fixing cars. It's very possible they damaged something and aren't mentioning it, or didn't realize it. According to Rick, our car went from a minor coolant leak that we weren't even concerned about to potentially needing a whole new engine due to an internal coolant leak. This massive leak seems to have materialized while it was in their shop. Considering the coolant was low when I opened the hood at their shop, and empty again within 100 miles of driving I am fairly confident that it did happen in their shop, and not in the short period afterward. I spoke to my local mechanic and in his opinion, if the problem was not there before we brought the car in and was there when it left their shop, which it was, then they should have at least located the problem and told us how to fix it. Rick, took the time to answer their phone multiple times. However, after a brief consultation with my local mechanic, I feel like I already have more information on what the problem could be. Suwanee Auto Repair seems to be more interested in deflecting any potential culpability for damages than actually ensuring that the car is safe to drive. read more

THEY TOTALED MY CAR! I had improvements completed here as their quotes were competitive. First visit they completed $600 of work (brake pads, rotors and radiator) to my car I had owned for 3 1/2 months. I was not planning on replacing the radiator for another 4+ months, but in their opinion it needed replacing as soon as possible. This advice differed from a Mitsubishi specialist (one day earlier), who advised me it was a minor issue that should not be any trouble for the time being. A week later I had a further $1080 of work (timing belt) completed which I couldn't afford the first time, again I had not planned to do this improvement for a while but I took their advice that it needed doing sooner with their hypothetical's as to what may happen if I waited, and examples of what has happened to other customers left me worried about losing my car completely. After collecting my car I noticed an issue which wasn't there before they changed the timing belt, so I returned for the 3rd time in 2 weeks. They made a guess as to the problem which they advised would be an easy fix. The following day their employee took the car for a test drive and rear ended a stopped car as they were following too closely. They accepted fault and their insurance is agreeing to pay out almost what I paid when I bought the car. However, they are declining my request to refund the $1680 of work they completed just days before, including $1350 of what I believe was non-urgent work, their reason being is they already had to pay $1000 for the insurance deductible. I feel that the way they have handled this matter is disappointing and inadequate. If I had not chosen the most competitive quotes, and instead taken my car to the Mitsubishi specialist, I may have paid a little more for the brakes and rotors, but I would not have lost the $1350 I spend on a new radiator and timing belt, and I would still have my car I bought just 4 months earlier. read more

I hate it when your vehicle breaks down on the Interstate. And a SHOUT OUT to not only OnStar, but to the auto shop that handled the problem. Traveling for Atlanta Ga to Greenville SC, we stopped @ exit 111 to tank up on food, but there were vapors coming from under the hood, and a HOT temp gauge. Just one call and a roll back arrived within 1 hour. They took us to a garage in Suwanee GA. , (fun for the dogs ... they got to ride in the car while on the RollBack!!!) and the service we received could not have been more professional. Luckily, the the repair was 'minor'. In less than 2 hr. we were back on the road. I can't say enough about Suwanee Auto Repair. Mr. Kim is ASE certified, and has over 40 years of automotive experience. He has a professional staff that know what they are doing. If I were a local, he would get ALL of my business. He was so professional, he even gave me his cell number in case something might go wrong w completing my trip home. Not needed, but it is a customer service note I will never forget. Live in the Atlanta area or North of Atlanta? Take my word. This business is recommended if you need service, or need a check out of a possible Used car you plan to purchase. John, the owner, helped me fixing our broken side door on 2000 Sienna. It was close to closing time. When I called around, no one would help us because it was around 6pm, they would not even to look at it. John was welcoming when I called. He said, 'Sure, bring it in' then, after taking one look at it when we got there, he fixed the door we were wrestling over an hour within 5 seconds at no charge!! The kindness warmed me and my boyfriend and he says he will give any kind of advice for free for DIY car carers if we want to fix the door in an inexpensive way. Do not take your car here for repairs!!! I personally called in explained to Rick the problems with my vehicle. I stated I did not want to pay a diagnostic test because I was not sure I would keep my car. I told him exactly what I thought was wrong with the vehicle (needing a transfer case). I also explained that I had called around to other repair shops and the lowest was $80.00 for a diagnostic test. Rick stated he would not charge me for a diagnostic test. He stated they usually charge $90.00 a hour to do one. However, if it takes less than a hour to find the problem, there will be no charge. He stated, if it takes longer than a hour, he would have to charge. He repeated, he can call me immediately if it going to take longer than a hour. Therefore, I would come and pick up my vehicle up With NO Charge. I dropped my vehicle off. Less than thirty minutes later the owner calls. The owner stated we had to pay $90.00 for a diagnostic test. I talked with Rick and stated back to him what he promised no charge if less than a hour. Long story short, Rick lied and he did the bait and switch. I ended up paying for a diagnostic test just to get my vehicle back. Do not take your car to a place where you can not trust the business. I came to talk to John the owner in person, and he would not talk to me. This is very poor customer service, and lying to get business is unacceptable!!! read more
