I've had these donuts at the Midtown Farmers Market and they are by far the best "gourmet" donuts I've had in Sacramento so far and even stand up well to Marie's donuts. Their "doissant" is basically a croissant donut mix and is super flaky and amazing. I've also tried their açaí, s'mores, and poppy seed which were amazing and had great flavors and fillings! These donuts aren't too oily or bread-y, they're just perfect! Would love for them to open up a Midtown location someday because there aren't many similar donuts around the area (not counting Milk Money because their donuts are honestly garbage). read more

I'm always on the lookout for fancy or different donuts so I had to try these. I got here 5 mins before closing and as other have said, they barely had any donuts left and I was sad when I saw the empty trays and could only use my imagination as to what yummy goodness had filled them just a few hours earlier. But there was a crumb cronut waiting for me so I had to get it and I was happy. Then something magical happened. I'm not sure if it was because I told the owners it was my first time there or because they had leftovers but they gave me extra donuts! A whole bag full and then some! For free! How awesome is that?! Thank you wonderful store owners! Thank you Universe! Ok so I'm sorry for the woman who didn't like the donuts because mine were awesome. No oil in sight! The cronuts were light and fluffy and the cake donuts were not as dense as I'm used to, lighter and really good. The apple fritter was dense and cinnamon-y goodness, good solid perfection. Thankfully my ziploc bag is keeping them fresh because I can only eat one per day! Next time I'll come earlier as they do sell most of their stock in the morning. I understand why some complain that they don't have full trays right until closing but I'm happy for them that they make one batch every day and sell out every day. That way you know you're not eating yesterday's donuts. If you want donuts after 1pm go to Donut King on San Juan and Greenback, they're open 24 hours. Visited this week to bring the coworkers some breakfast. We loved everything! Mmmhmm. The texture and taste of the doissants and doughnuts were just perfection. Wished they offered more doissants (only 2 left at 7:30am on a Tuesday), more coffee options, and maybe a drink carrier for the coffee- so it wasn't so awkward to carry everything out to the car. Will be coming back for more soon, hopefully earlier for more choices and with more hands to help carry out. read more

Sweet Dozen is great. The people are work there are very friendly and helpful, she always throws me an extra donut hole or some other good since I am regular. The donuts are wicked fresh and delish, I will sometimes leave one in my desk overnight and it's still soft and chewy in the morning. The coffee is cheap, but I drink it every morning and I am still alive. If you're on your way to work or whatever, Sweet Dozen is a great place to stop and get some fresh donuts or eclairs. read more

I went in on the last Saturday and the girl was very friendly at the counter. I ordered a few donuts and they were getting ready to close so she offered to give me some free donuts which I definitely appreciate! However my issue came when I asked if they had any vegan options which they do not. But when I asked if they had vegan options she told me yes, I then asked also which ones don't have dairy or eggs or butter? And she pointed to a couple of options so I grabbed some because hubby is vegan. We returned the following weekend to enjoy some more Donuts, and asked which were vegan again just to make sure, and the guy behind the counter when chapped and came back to tell us they don't have any vegan options that they don't serve vegan Donuts. My husband was very angry and horrified I was upset to. The staff really need to be educated on what vegan is. If my husband had a dairy allergy or a severe reaction of any sort it would have been really bad. Needless to say we will not be returning. read more

I spotted these guys at a newer popup Farmers' Market earlier this morning and had to take a peek at the goods. The gal manning the truck was extremely friendly and helpful, patiently waiting as I struggled with the age old doughnut dilemma: YEAST or CAKE? Today was a cake day, and a good one at that. I settled for the blueberry, which i one of the crowd faves, according to the gal, and after a bite I could see why. It's always a pleasure to taste a doughnut that has real flavor infused both in the pastry dough as well as the icing - for one without the other is just a half-hearted effort, if you ask me. within moments I convinced my sister to pop over and try the pistachio old-fashioned. this one had a slight salty-earthy profile to it with the nut-honey glaze, and was significantly richer than the blueberry. the key part of knowing that these guys mean business is the fact that i could distinctly tell the difference in the bite & crumb from the traditional cake vs. the old-fashioned doughnut. this is clutch as so many doughnut purveyors simply seem to repurpose either or, and use a different shaped cutter and call it a day. not so with these guys! traditionally, yeast doughnuts are my fave - and next time i'm coming for that mango chili number. read more

Let me start off with saying that i haven't had a doughnut this delicious in a very long time. I am so glad that i stopped by here. Their croissant doughnuts are WOW, so delicious, moist and very flavorful. The gentleman who assisted me was very friendly and described to be each one I had a question about. I really enjoyed their blueberry donut, i only chose a select few but he added more on top which was a very sweet thing to do since I was taking them to family for coffee. So definitely coming back here, too bad they're not closer but that could probably be a great thing read more

Came in around 11 on a Friday morning, they didn't have much of a selection but that's to be expected so late in the morning. The woman working behind the counter apologized for the selection. I ordered 3 doughnuts and a dozen doughnut holes and was shocked when the total was only $5. I go to Chico State and evacuated due to the horrible and extremely destructive Camp Fire (it was less than 10 miles from my house). She noticed I was wearing a Chico State hoodie and we talked about the devastation the fire has caused. She threw in 5 extra doughnuts. Her kindness during such a stressful time made me tear up. I came by for Valentine's Day and got a dozen donuts and 3 Doissants and asked for a white mocha. I got under a dozen donuts and she had marked 4 Doissants instead of 3. I was in a rush so I didn't realize was overcharged until I got to the office. I also received a regular mocha instead of a white mocha. Just wrong all around. The maple and bacon is my favorite, with maple or honey glazed coming in at a close 2nd place. I've been back twice in a month, and I will need to keep telling myself that I can't visit as often as I want to. (But I really do recommend this place.) The BEST doughnuts EVER!!!! I come in a couple times a week in the morning before work. Of course I would get the maple bacon bar every time. Delicious! Sometimes I will get other doughnuts but it will be in addition to my maple bacon bar. The staff is very welcome and friendly. Doughnuts were really good. My kid loved the cereal doughnuts and I got a maple cronut that was bomb. Doughnuts run about 2-3$ a piece. They also have chocolate or maple bacon bars. The employees are nice and patient. This will be my new spot for doughnuts. Only reason they dont get 5 stars is it's just a little pricey. But they do have a great selection. read more
