This is my favorite place to go for brunch! It's very delicious and I always order their Eggs Benedict with hash browns. Their other menu items are good too but if I want an amazing eggs benedict, I go here. The place is very spacious and also has outdoor seating, it's a cozy setting. The servers there are super chill and nice too so you'll feel right at home! They also come out with the food so fast
This spot offers great value with generous portions and is perfect when you're craving a simple, satisfying breakfast. The service was also a highlight, as everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. My favorite dish was actually the Mess. It was loaded with ingredients, hearty, and easily enough to keep you full for hours. The stuffed French toast was another standout. I tried both the banana and blueberry versions, and while both were delicious, the banana was my favorite because it was a bit sweeter and more flavorful. If you're looking for a casual breakfast spot with large portions, friendly service, and reasonable prices, this place is definitely worth a visit.
So yummy!! I got blueberry stuffed French toast and I ended up having to share with my kids because they loved it They got the eggs benny and my son thought it was super yummy And the waffle was devoured. The boys have declared we will be back tomorrow. We cannot wait to hear our name yelled out in the parking lot - best part of our meal! Thank you!!
If you're looking for a breakfast place that has wonderful food and good value for money, Sweet E's Cafe is the place to go. Service: Awesome. We were actually asked about 3 times by 3 different servers if we wanted a different drink besides water, which was ok with us. We appreciated them being very attentive to each table's needs. Food: 10/10. I ordered the Veggie Eggs Benedict and it tasted really good. I liked how the ingredients taste fresh and how the benny complemented very well with the potatoes. I also sampled my brother's fried rice and it was amazing. The Extreme Mess was flavorful too, a little bit on the saltier side for me but my boyfriend enjoyed it. Ambiance: We were seated outside but it was covered and well-ventilated. The place is well-maintained and clean, and has a "local brunch place" vibe which I liked. Parking: We lucked out and got parking at the available space by their lot, around 11am on a Saturday. There's also street parking available.
We decided to visit Sweet E's Cafe on a morning where our power went out due to the storm and it was wet and rainy. Looking for a hearty breakfast meal and hopefully not too many other people out and about we decided to try our luck with Sweet E's Cafe. Well we somehow got lucky with a parking spot out front and an ope table outside. Not realizing how windy and bit chilly it was, our kids were not prepared for that and thankfully our server found us a table inside. They brought small toys for the kids to play with while we ate. I got the spinach and feta omelette with hash browns. The kids got bagel sandwiches which now looking back they could have split. I was quite surprised at how well seasoned and cooked the hash browns were. I think that was my favorite part. I think they omelette could have done with a little more salt or feta, but those hash browns made up for it. The side is very cozy with many pictures hanging on the walls. The place was bustling for most of our time there. Parking is very limited in the lot out front. There is street parking but we couldn't find anything within a decent walking distance. Somehow we lucked out on the second go around.
I had the stuffed blueberry cream cheese French toast with fruits on top. Overall, it was good and delicious. The fruits tasted fresh and the French toast was soft. I enjoyed the cream cheese aspect, but it did make the overall meal taste a bit heavy. The server was nice and provided us with suggestions on what to do on the island. When we left, the server came out to say bye and provided more suggestions. Amazing service. I would rate service a 5 star.
Here's a review from start to finish if you are a tourist. Parking here is a pain. There is a small parking lot that fits 12 cars but probably really 8 or 9. 2 cars are completely boxed in so I am assuming this is staff parking. There is off street parking but it is not easy. Simply drop off someone to get on the list and look for parking. FYI, they won't let you wait inside the restaurant. There is a small shade spot but if it's taken, you're roasting so bring a hat. Inside is nice and cold! We were here for the breakfast menu. They gave the kiddos a plastic cup of toys which was pretty cool to keep them occupied. The waiter was cool, great recommendations and suggestions. Here is what we ordered: 1. Hawaiian Omelet 2. Corn beef hash breakfast burrito 3. Sides of rice and pork for the youngsters. Everything was so darn delicious. I could go on and on about my breakfast burrito but you just have to get it. This is definitely a must go to place during your vacation! Everyone that came in was quoted 10/15 minute wait time lol. We waited around that time but I found it funny. Party of 8? 10/15. Party of 2, 10/15. Funny! Love this place!
My friend suggested this place to me, so we came here for brunch on a Monday holiday. The servers here are great, very attentive. We were seated as soon as my friend arrived . First off, the corned beef hash was spiced to perfection. I was pleasantly surprised, even though I have already known myself to enjoy corned beef. Next, the kalua pork Eggs Benedict was really gratifying, and I'm always happy to try any variation of the Eggs Benedict. Lastly, the stuffed French toast was scrumptious. The cream cheese goes really well with banana or blueberry. Our server was wise to inform us that we can mix and match the French toast flavors, such that we could get 2 banana & 1 blueberry, which my friend did. I liked the blueberry French toast better, but both were still good. The bottomless iced tea or iced coffee was a really nice option (and potentially put me at risk of over-caffeinating, but I'm not complaining). They even gave me a to-go cup for my iced tea. The team at Sweet E's really took care of us. We opted to eat outside for the brunch atmosphere, which I regretted immediately because I really dislike eating outside (because of flies).
To be honest, this place was meh at best. I walked in expecting a good local brunch spot and was greeted with a waiting list, which was fine. Unfortunately the atmosphere felt a bit dingy, and the restaurant didn't seem particularly clean. My order also came out wrong. I asked for fried rice with my Eggs Benedict and got white rice. I ordered the blueberry cream cheese stuffed French toast and received the banana version instead. The staff seemed rushed and overwhelmed, which may explain some of the issues. I'm hoping it was just an off day, but honestly I probably wouldn't return.
Don't let the waitlist and lack of parking scare you. The wait is not that bad! We arrived on a long weekend and there were 6 people infront of us, we also had 8 people so we definitely needed a larger table. Surprisingly we were seated within 20 minutes! The server was super nice. He had waters for us immediately and bonus points for some toys to keep our little one busy. Food also came out pretty fast. I ordered a Hawaiian Omlette with hash and sourdough toast. My little one wanted pancakes so we got one as a side instead of the full plate. It was such a good idea! The omlette was huge and delish. We also tried the banana french toast and blueberry french toast, both were yummy!
This place is really great as we went here 2 days in a row for breakfast! Ther service is top notch, all male crew that is on top of drinks, food, napkins and so friendly. The food is fresh, quality and quick! We had the Corned Beef Hash/Eggs/Pancke, Smoked Salmon Bagel, Portuguese Sausage/Eggs. We will return soon!
First time trying Sweet E's Café! I heard they're good for breakfast and brunch so definitely wanted to check it out. It can get crowded here, so you wanna come early and you may need to wait. Thankfully, the day we came wasn't too crowded only about a 15 minute wait. They do not take reservations. The restaurant is casual with both indoor and outdoor seating. Once we were seated, our waiter promptly came. I ordered iced coffee and the stuffed blueberry and cream cheese French toast. My friend ordered the eggs Benedict with Kalua pork. Food came out really fast! Sometimes when food comes out too fast, it makes me wonder if they're making things to order, or they're just reheating what they previously cooked. Overall, I think the blueberry and cream cheese stuffed French toast was good. Nothing too exciting. It doesn't come with any sides, just a French toast. The Kalua pork eggs Benedict does come with a side of rice, or you can upgrade to the fried rice. Service is a bit lacking. After the initial order and the food brought out our waiter, never came back to check on us, refill our water or iced coffee. It's kind of like a one and done. read more
We had family in from the mainland and they were staying in Waikiki, so decided to go somewhere close by and grab breakfast. Normally Sweet E's Cafe is so crowded and very limited parking, drove by and the parking lot was full, so we decided to go to Sekiya's but it wasn't open yet and decided to drive back and 2 parking spaces open up so off we went to get some breakfast. Staff is friendly and service is great! I had the hash browns & ham & eggs and it was good and filling. My wife had the waffles and she enjoyed it very much. The rest had the same breakfast but they ordered Portuguese sausage, sunny side eggs and rice which they also enjoyed! I went to Sweet E's with my family for weekend brunch and we really enjoyed it! Sweet E's has such a warm, upbeat energy - all the family photos on the wall and the friendly staff make it feel like you're eating at your auntie's house somehow, even though it's definitely an incredibly efficient and professional restaurant operation. Food: I ordered the blueberry cream cheese stuffed French toast - it was so tasty! Blueberries and cream cheese go so well together, and the filling wasn't too sweet. The blueberries in the filling were kind of hard and a little less juicy than I would hope for, but not bad at all. You can purchase some extra fruit on top, and I think that would've been really good. Service: Super friendly and fast! The staff is extremely efficient - they have to be, since Sweet E's is so popular. For real there was constantly a line of people waiting outside the door, and never an empty table. Despite the quick pace, the staff was still very attentive. The guy who calls people's names off the wait list has impressive projection hahaha he was really nice Ambiance: Very warm, friendly, atmosphere! Because they are so busy, though, this isn't really the place to sit for a few hours and catch up with a friend - they kinda want you in and out pretty quickly, since they have so many customers coming in and out. Located on the Mauka end of Kapahulu Avenue. Popular eatery that you'll see people waiting outside to get into. There will be a waitlist but don't worry the line moves. There is both indoor and patio seating. Nothing fancy more diner vibes. There was this Mohawk fella working the seating and you won't miss your "call" as he will be sure to shout out your name to let you know when "you're up'" Good vibes! Food is reasonably priced with an array of breakfast selections and brunch offerings. I had the eggs benedict and it was on point. Ordered it with hash browns that were cooked great with the perfect crisp! They have omlettes, waffles, and all the breakfast flare you would expect. I'm a decaf drinker and the coffee was brewed fresh and the service was spot on. Gents working there are on it. No frills just cool dudes. Fair is fair come check this place out. Expect to wait a bit to get seated but enjoy the atmosphere of tourist and local mixture. read more

Fried rice for breakfast? Why yes, yes indeed. I can say, with 100% certainty, that was the best fried rice I've eaten in my 47 years on the planet. The Corned Beef Benedict was stellar as well. We've been wanting to eat in this little neighborhood cafe since we moved in Kapahulu but it's always packed outside. Finally, last Saturday we woke up early and lined up at 7:30a. I waited for parking space, which did not take long and we got seated with in 10minutes. It wasn't a long wait. We sat down and ordered within a minute (they were all over us with service). We looked at the menu and everything seems good but we asked what's the most popular and we order them and it was out within 5 minutes. Let me tell you, one of the best breakfast I've ever had with such great bang for your money (it wasn't too expensive). My wife and I were filled up after gobbling our food. We did have left overs coz we ordered more than we can handle. I like the place coz it has a beach vibe and the staff is truly friendly. It is truly a neighborhood cafe. read more

My husband has been here multiple times, and he has been talking it up all trip. It was as good as he said. We had omelets (Hawaiian, Kahlua and Chicken pesto) which were all delicious. Soooo delicious. We tried to go a couple of times but they are always super busy. We got lucky on our last day in Honolulu and grabbed a table outside. We would have definitely gone again if we were there longer, it's that good. Service was awesome! Food was awesome! Outside seating was awesome! I ordered the Enchanting French Toast. I can't wrap my head around on the fact that this place doesn't have 5 stars on yelp. This place is so inviting! It has a really good atmosphere and the food is so worth it. It's a small place but the food, the service and the speed that's offered here is impressive! We had our food on the table within 15 mins of ordering. Everything was perfect! Ah sweet E's -- plenty of sweet breakfast items to satisfy the sweet cravings along with sweet workers all around. A local favorite, and finally been here I can see why. Generous portions, affordable prices, and supa friendly staff that bring your food with smiles. I don't normally eat breakfast, so most breakfast places I never frequent. This day I was wanting something different and decided to give it a try. We lucked out and took the last remaining table before the wait started..woohoo! We tried the Enchanting Stuffed Blueberry and Cream Cheese French toast which was filled with the most delicious blueberry cream cheese filling. It was a dream! Big portion and I added the side of fresh fruits which made me feel healthier lol. Perfect balance of not being too sweet too. No need for syrup. The Hawaiian omelette was delicious as well. Potatoes could be crispier, but it was sure a hearty portion. The Portuguese sausage and spam was a nice combination. would recommend both! Small parking lot but plenty of street parking. Food was delicious. I got the Kalua pork Benedict and the pork was well seasoned and moist. The eggs were cooked perfectly. Hash browns were a hit at my table. I want to give kudos to our server/host/bus boy. He did it all! Since it was raining; he offered umbrellas to people going to get their car. They brought those umbrellas back, of course. He also took umbrellas out to take people in from the parking lot. He set up the table when we got there. He's super friendly and efficient so of course 10/5 stars for the service!! We will definitely come back next time we're in Oahu read more

Sweet Es for the Win! This by far was the best breakfast I had my entire trip! Our waiter was great!! I ask questions, I always want to know what's the most popular item. What would they suggest lol I love patient, interactive people. I chose to get the 2 egg breakfast scrambled eggs with cheese, rice and Portuguese sausage! The rice isn't like a white rice, it's like a fried breakfast rice 5/5! It has bacon and eggs scrambled inside. This was my first time trying Portuguese sausage 10/5 lol such a different twist to a sausage. Very nicely flavored a little hint of smoke and a sweet taste. I enjoyed it a totally different flavor of sausage this was a recommendation from our server. The waffle mmm mm mmmm darn good 5/5 nice and fluffy but not too thick. Melted in my mouth! Super good! Never went here because parking is a challenge. But it is so worth it! From the moment you enter, you are immediately greeted by the staff. Very attentive and they work seamlessly as a team. Then the food! The poached eggs were perfect on the delicious veggie Benedict! So perfectly poached with the yolk creamy! Yum! Also had the Denver Omelette! Delicious with lots of flavor! The herb roasted potatoes were super yum! To-go container brought without requesting. And offered to give a coffee to-go. So nice! Lots of seating inside and out. Great staff! Fab Food! Hawaiian breakfast! Awesome local's breakfast joint away from the touristy areas. The everyday breakfast, as they call it, comes with bacon and eggs and a side of amazing garlic fried rice. The Kalua Pork Eggs Benedict was great with nice smokey pulled pork, and a quality Hollandaise. They recommend I get it with extra crispy hash browns, and I'm glad I did! The pancakes were good with totally awesome special request coconut syrup! Next time I want to try their French Toast which looks amazing with huge fluffy pieces of Hawaiian bread. The staff are hilarious and incredibly warm and inviting. Parking is a challenge however. We eventually found a street spot about a block away. read more

Super solid brunch spot. The food was fresh and flavorful especially the French toast with berries and the crispy hash browns. The fresh-squeezed orange juice is a must, easily one of the best parts. Sweet E's is a must visit in hawaii!!! I came after saving a TikTok video as I was intrigued by how crispy the hash browns looks. This place did not disappoint! Their prices are also reasonable compared to the Waikiki brunch spots. Our whole meal was like $30 total after tax and tip which is wild. We got the Kalua pork eggs benny, a blueberry stuffed French toast slice, and a papaya. Everything was so fresh and so delicious. Hash browns were crispy!!! French toast was nice and fluffy and had the right amount of sweetness / stuffing. We came on a weekday and there was no wait for a table. Service was very quick and friendly. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. Casual spot for brunch - I'd say a decent spot for groups. You honestly can't go wrong with Sweet E's! One of the best breakfast spots here and there's a reason why it's so busy! I've been here many times but for the most recent visit I ordered the banana stuffed French toast and it was yummy! I still prefer their blueberries and cream cheese one but I wanted to try something different and it didn't disappoint. I also really like how their hash browns and corned beef hash are so crispy! One of my favorites too. Although this place gets packed and is super busy, the service is so quick and efficient! They're on it as soon as you're seated and the food comes out within 10 minutes or even less after you order. If you haven't already, you need to check out Sweet E's and get their French toast! Sweet E's seems to be a fan favorite for a breakfast stop! It's near the famous Leonard's Bakery so we used that as an advantage to do a pick up order for after we finished eating. Parking lot is very small so arriving early is helpful, or there is always street parking but that can be a little difficult. They have your typical breakfast plates. I got the buttermilk pancakes and a side of hash browns. It came with three huge pancakes, definitely shareable. My partner ordered an omelet with spam and mozzarella cheese and it was delicious. For a group of 6 we waited around 15 mins on a Monday at 9:20 AM. You have to go inside and place your name on a list and you can wait outside because they will come out and yell your name. Waiters work fast and are friendly! Would definitely come again! read more
My husband and I went here on a Sunday morning brunch date. The staff was some of the friendliest staff I've encountered since moving to the island. They were funny, easy going and extremely helpful! The place is very small and most of their seating is outside so make sure to dress for the heat and humidity as they didn't have any fans when we went so it can get hot. I was craving both sweet and savory so we ordered the Extreme mess and the Blueberry stuffed French toast. Both were soooo good! I highly recommend them! This seems to be a moderately popular place so there was a wait but we were seated within 10 minutes! Parking is super hard to find so be mindful of that too. This was my first visit to O'ahu, so I wanted to dive into the local food scene. This breakfast/brunch spot came highly recommended via reviews and videos on social media. It is a quaint little place stationed between small shopping centers and city parks. The menu has variety- there are omelets, eggs benedict, pancakes, and breakfast sandwiches. I decided to try the Hawaiian omelet, which included a choice of bread and potatoes. I went with sourdough bread and hashbrowns, and I have to say, it was delicious! The flavors were fresh, and everything paired together wonderfully. My only small complaint was that the omelet had a bit too much meat compared to the eggs. It almost felt like the eggs were more of a side dish than the star of the show, which took away from the usual balance of an omelet. That said, the dish was still very tasty, and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Overall, it's a great spot for breakfast/brunch, and I'll definitely be back for more! Came to visit with family and attempted to try spots we haven't been to. Upon arrival, wrote our name on the board and waited outside. They have about 8 parking spots out front and there is a residential street parking available. We waited maybe 10 minutes before being seated with the option of inside or outside (covered) seating. We opted for inside and enjoyed the cooler temp. The menu is simple but has everything you need. The coffee was great and they are great about keeping your cup full. We had the Denver Omelette and make your own with a side of pancake with fresh strawberries. Our omelettes and potatoes were great. Unfortunately the pancake was not the best. Perhaps an off day but it was dry and not fluffy or flavorful. Ended up eating the strawberries and left the pancake behind. Everyone is super helpful, plenty of seating inside and outside. We had a great experience and also the price point is amazing! Normally the plates would be easy starting 19 plus per plate. Inside is casual, with great family photos throughout. If you're looking for a breakfast spot with family and friends, definitely recommend this spot. read more

Walked inside and was greeted by a super friendly employee After letting the employee know how many were in our party we waited for less than five minutes. Seated very quickly and was surprised when they had toys set up for our kids. Very friendly and kid oriented place to eat. They make you feel like you're family. A no frills breakfast spot!! We heard great things about Sweet E's and decided to give it a try! We visited on a weekday morning, so it wasn't too busy. Love that there's a parking lot outside too, but be wary that parking is limited to 10 or so spots. I ordered the chicken pesto omelette, and my boyfriend ordered the extreme mess. Both were very delicious!! Portion sizes are huge, so be prepared to eat a lot! This place is probably the best breakfast spot I've had in Oahu. What drinks, if any, are bottomless?
Coffee and teas. The ones that say "Free refills" on the menu in the pics on Yelp!...
Is Breakfast served all day? Thanks!
They're only open till 2pm, but yes it's a brunch menu all day.
We have our Westie with us. We were wondering if the 'Dogs Allowed' was only for service dogs or all dogs?
Not sure, never noticed any other dogs while we were there.
Do you take reservations?
When we went it was 8:30 and there was no wait. Once we were done there was a long wait out the door and people waited outside. They were taking names as people showed up and just called them when they were next
Is there a virtual wait list you can join morning of?
There was not one when we were there.
Is there a kid's menu?
can't remember at the moment,but there prices are pretty reasonable and the quality and service is amazing
Are you open? Today is Mon 8/17/2020, 12noon. Been trying for the past 15 min. Phone either busy or just rings but no answer.

Do they have vegan options?
Yes they do for lunch. You can order a salad or grilled veggies. Maybe for breakfast you can ask them to do a stir fry with the veggies
Are you open for breakfast on Thanksgiving and with same menu?
Unfortunately we will be closed on thanksgiving
What happened to the extreme mess? Did they change cooks or something. The serving size used to cover the entire plate, it's about a third smaller now.
I guess there doing portion sizes for a balanced diet🧐
Is there parking?
Yes, there is a small parking lot. We did park in it on a weekday. On the weekend they had valet there, but we were able to find parking on the street a few blocks away, no problem.
Do they take Reservations for Mother's Day Breakfast?
I don't know. May want to call them because them since they are always busy.
Are there mimosas?
as Mele mentioned, "No". They do not serve any alcohol at all. But please do visit this place. The food is Amazing!
