Sweet E's Cafe is an awesome quick breakfast location to stop and eat while you explore the area. After finishing up Manoa Falls we decided to fuel up at Sweet E's and it was the best decision of the day. We had no issues finding parking right in front of the restaurant. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and we chose to sit outside. We ordered our drinks and got them fast and our server let us know they were known for their eggs Benedict. I got the Kailua pork Benedict and my brother got the traditional eggs Benedict. I really wanted to try their stuffed French toast and my favorite part about the restaurant was that they allow you to do single or full orders for the French toast and I'm glad I did because I would not have wanted to miss out on trying it. I loved everything about Sweet E's Cafe and can't wait to come back again!
Returned to Sweet E's for the first time in years and it was as good as I remember. Quality, hearty reasonably priced food and a good variety of options to choose from, including lunch dishes served from 11am. What was most special and unforgettable about the experience was the hospitable, quick, and attentive service. We notified the staff that our table included a baby, and they accommodated us with a high chair, sippy cup, and toys to keep the baby busy. Staff were also friendly, always checking on us, and our coffee cups kept full. Parking available in a small lot in front or nearby on the street. We didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes for a table, and our day could not have started any better. Thanks Sweet E's!
Had to leave a review because of their immaculate service lol. Dude with the blond Mohawk made our day! We came here an hour before closing (we're so sorry!) and got sat next to one of the workers at another table sorting through receipts. He had 2 small PERSONAL portable fans pointed at him and asked if we wanted to use them. I respectfully declined but my partner took up the offer lol. We talked story for a bit about where we went to high school and what we were up to today and he was checking on customers from his seat. "Ey salt life! (The man had a shirt that said "Salt Life") you need anything over there??" He yelled at the man across the room. They laughed and said no. Now onto the FOOD. I ordered the corned beef hash eggs Benedict and lemme tell you, one of the best restaurant made breakfast meals I've had in a long time. The guy recommended the hash brown and I can see why. Usually I don't fw hash brown because it can be a little soggy or plain, but not this one. It was perfectly salted and because they grate it so fine it's crispy from edge to edge. Best hash browns I've ever had in my entire life. They give an extremely generous amount of corn beef hash as well, so much so I couldn't even see the English muffin underneath. You can really tell they make it themselves too. I only tried a bite of the mess but it was also delicious. If you love the skillet breakfast from Denny's, this is basically an elevated version of that. The waffle was great, generous portion of fruits on top. Nothing to call home about though. They even let us take more coffee to go when we left!! We ended up both only finishing half of our meals and ended up taking the rest home. Now I'm off to work with these leftovers lol
Service is always great! It's all male staff (i believe) but they sit down and actually talk to you as you order:) They also give great recommendations, so don't hesitate to ask! There is outdoor and indoor seating. They have ample seating so the waitlist moves by quick in the morning. Parking is, however, very limited though. The ambiance of the store is quite comfortable, you can also join their Spotify group and add songs to the queue!!! The food is really good and the price is good as well! I recommend anything corned beef hash, the hash brown, and eggs benedict!
Couldn't leave Hawaii without stopping at Sweet E's Cafe for breakfast with the fam bam! The waiters were super nice, friendly, and welcoming, and the food was delicious! It's also conveniently located near Leonard's and Sunrise Shack, making it the perfect stop while exploring. Definitely a must-try when you're in Hawaii! Parking is limited
The food was your average breakfast food, but definitely get their stuffed French toast because it's amazing! The serving sizes are good for the price and the food. The service is also very quick and the outdoor seating was nice but inside was small. It could've been a little cleaner as well. But they are very packed on weekends so get there early. I would definitely recommend going there and trying it out!
This is my favorite place to go for brunch! It's very delicious and I always order their Eggs Benedict with hash browns. Their other menu items are good too but if I want an amazing eggs benedict, I go here. The place is very spacious and also has outdoor seating, it's a cozy setting. The servers there are super chill and nice too so you'll feel right at home! They also come out with the food so fast
This spot offers great value with generous portions and is perfect when you're craving a simple, satisfying breakfast. The service was also a highlight, as everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. My favorite dish was actually the Mess. It was loaded with ingredients, hearty, and easily enough to keep you full for hours. The stuffed French toast was another standout. I tried both the banana and blueberry versions, and while both were delicious, the banana was my favorite because it was a bit sweeter and more flavorful. If you're looking for a casual breakfast spot with large portions, friendly service, and reasonable prices, this place is definitely worth a visit.

We decided to visit Sweet E's Cafe on a morning where our power went out due to the storm and it was wet and rainy. Looking for a hearty breakfast meal and hopefully not too many other people out and about we decided to try our luck with Sweet E's Cafe. Well we somehow got lucky with a parking spot out front and an ope table outside. Not realizing how windy and bit chilly it was, our kids were not prepared for that and thankfully our server found us a table inside. They brought small toys for the kids to play with while we ate. I got the spinach and feta omelette with hash browns. The kids got bagel sandwiches which now looking back they could have split. I was quite surprised at how well seasoned and cooked the hash browns were. I think that was my favorite part. I think they omelette could have done with a little more salt or feta, but those hash browns made up for it. The side is very cozy with many pictures hanging on the walls. The place was bustling for most of our time there. Parking is very limited in the lot out front. There is street parking but we couldn't find anything within a decent walking distance. Somehow we lucked out on the second go around.
We have made it a point to stop here for breakfast on every trip to Oahu. The service, ambience and most especially the food is consistently fantastic!
If you're looking for a breakfast place that has wonderful food and good value for money, Sweet E's Cafe is the place to go. Service: Awesome. We were actually asked about 3 times by 3 different servers if we wanted a different drink besides water, which was ok with us. We appreciated them being very attentive to each table's needs. Food: 10/10. I ordered the Veggie Eggs Benedict and it tasted really good. I liked how the ingredients taste fresh and how the benny complemented very well with the potatoes. I also sampled my brother's fried rice and it was amazing. The Extreme Mess was flavorful too, a little bit on the saltier side for me but my boyfriend enjoyed it. Ambiance: We were seated outside but it was covered and well-ventilated. The place is well-maintained and clean, and has a "local brunch place" vibe which I liked. Parking: We lucked out and got parking at the available space by their lot, around 11am on a Saturday. There's also street parking available.
Best local spot for breakfast! Funny and attentive staff, amazing coffee and food was delicious! Must try when in Oahu.

Hawaiian breakfast! Awesome local's breakfast joint away from the touristy areas. The everyday breakfast, as they call it, comes with bacon and eggs and a side of amazing garlic fried rice. The Kalua Pork Eggs Benedict was great with nice smokey pulled pork, and a quality Hollandaise. They recommend I get it with extra crispy hash browns, and I'm glad I did! The pancakes were good with totally awesome special request coconut syrup! Next time I want to try their French Toast which looks amazing with huge fluffy pieces of Hawaiian bread. The staff are hilarious and incredibly warm and inviting. Parking is a challenge however. We eventually found a street spot about a block away. read more

Sweet E's is a must visit in hawaii!!! I came after saving a TikTok video as I was intrigued by how crispy the hash browns looks. This place did not disappoint! Their prices are also reasonable compared to the Waikiki brunch spots. Our whole meal was like $30 total after tax and tip which is wild. We got the Kalua pork eggs benny, a blueberry stuffed French toast slice, and a papaya. Everything was so fresh and so delicious. Hash browns were crispy!!! French toast was nice and fluffy and had the right amount of sweetness / stuffing. We came on a weekday and there was no wait for a table. Service was very quick and friendly. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. Casual spot for brunch - I'd say a decent spot for groups. Great spot near Waikiki, and you can head to Leonard's after for malasadas :-) super close by! read more

Sweet E's seems to be a fan favorite for a breakfast stop! It's near the famous Leonard's Bakery so we used that as an advantage to do a pick up order for after we finished eating. Parking lot is very small so arriving early is helpful, or there is always street parking but that can be a little difficult. They have your typical breakfast plates. I got the buttermilk pancakes and a side of hash browns. It came with three huge pancakes, definitely shareable. My partner ordered an omelet with spam and mozzarella cheese and it was delicious. For a group of 6 we waited around 15 mins on a Monday at 9:20 AM. You have to go inside and place your name on a list and you can wait outside because they will come out and yell your name. Waiters work fast and are friendly! Would definitely come again! read more

You honestly can't go wrong with Sweet E's! One of the best breakfast spots here and there's a reason why it's so busy! I've been here many times but for the most recent visit I ordered the banana stuffed French toast and it was yummy! I still prefer their blueberries and cream cheese one but I wanted to try something different and it didn't disappoint. I also really like how their hash browns and corned beef hash are so crispy! One of my favorites too. Although this place gets packed and is super busy, the service is so quick and efficient! They're on it as soon as you're seated and the food comes out within 10 minutes or even less after you order. If you haven't already, you need to check out Sweet E's and get their French toast! Came to visit with family and attempted to try spots we haven't been to. Upon arrival, wrote our name on the board and waited outside. They have about 8 parking spots out front and there is a residential street parking available. We waited maybe 10 minutes before being seated with the option of inside or outside (covered) seating. We opted for inside and enjoyed the cooler temp. The menu is simple but has everything you need. The coffee was great and they are great about keeping your cup full. We had the Denver Omelette and make your own with a side of pancake with fresh strawberries. Our omelettes and potatoes were great. Unfortunately the pancake was not the best. Perhaps an off day but it was dry and not fluffy or flavorful. Ended up eating the strawberries and left the pancake behind. Everyone is super helpful, plenty of seating inside and outside. We had a great experience and also the price point is amazing! Normally the plates would be easy starting 19 plus per plate. Inside is casual, with great family photos throughout. If you're looking for a breakfast spot with family and friends, definitely recommend this spot. read more
My husband and I went here on a Sunday morning brunch date. The staff was some of the friendliest staff I've encountered since moving to the island. They were funny, easy going and extremely helpful! The place is very small and most of their seating is outside so make sure to dress for the heat and humidity as they didn't have any fans when we went so it can get hot. I was craving both sweet and savory so we ordered the Extreme mess and the Blueberry stuffed French toast. Both were soooo good! I highly recommend them! This seems to be a moderately popular place so there was a wait but we were seated within 10 minutes! Parking is super hard to find so be mindful of that too. This was my first visit to O'ahu, so I wanted to dive into the local food scene. This breakfast/brunch spot came highly recommended via reviews and videos on social media. It is a quaint little place stationed between small shopping centers and city parks. The menu has variety- there are omelets, eggs benedict, pancakes, and breakfast sandwiches. I decided to try the Hawaiian omelet, which included a choice of bread and potatoes. I went with sourdough bread and hashbrowns, and I have to say, it was delicious! The flavors were fresh, and everything paired together wonderfully. My only small complaint was that the omelet had a bit too much meat compared to the eggs. It almost felt like the eggs were more of a side dish than the star of the show, which took away from the usual balance of an omelet. That said, the dish was still very tasty, and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Overall, it's a great spot for breakfast/brunch, and I'll definitely be back for more! A no frills breakfast spot!! We heard great things about Sweet E's and decided to give it a try! We visited on a weekday morning, so it wasn't too busy. Love that there's a parking lot outside too, but be wary that parking is limited to 10 or so spots. I ordered the chicken pesto omelette, and my boyfriend ordered the extreme mess. Both were very delicious!! Portion sizes are huge, so be prepared to eat a lot! This place is probably the best breakfast spot I've had in Oahu. Service is fast and amazing here, and all the servers are helpful in making sure everything is okay! Definitely coming back! read more

Located on the Mauka end of Kapahulu Avenue. Popular eatery that you'll see people waiting outside to get into. There will be a waitlist but don't worry the line moves. There is both indoor and patio seating. Nothing fancy more diner vibes. There was this Mohawk fella working the seating and you won't miss your "call" as he will be sure to shout out your name to let you know when "you're up'" Good vibes! Food is reasonably priced with an array of breakfast selections and brunch offerings. I had the eggs benedict and it was on point. Ordered it with hash browns that were cooked great with the perfect crisp! They have omlettes, waffles, and all the breakfast flare you would expect. I'm a decaf drinker and the coffee was brewed fresh and the service was spot on. Gents working there are on it. No frills just cool dudes. Fair is fair come check this place out. Expect to wait a bit to get seated but enjoy the atmosphere of tourist and local mixture. read more

Fried rice for breakfast? Why yes, yes indeed. I can say, with 100% certainty, that was the best fried rice I've eaten in my 47 years on the planet. The Corned Beef Benedict was stellar as well. Seeet E's Cafe was another gem. You wrote your name down and how many were in your party. From there, you were asked to wait outside. The wait wasn't long before an energetic, full of personality individual by the name of Nao (pronounced now as in right now..lol) called for us to come in. This venue was also bright, airy, with indoor/outdoor seating where there was no particular server, everyone helped out with all tables. What i loved most was the quick turnaround tine to get your food, eat and be on your way. The pancakes had a cinnamon flavor to it, cheesy eggs were fluffy. Everything was just overall great. The price was just right and I definitely recommend going here. Just be mindful the parking lot is really small but it didn't matter to us seeing how we took an Uber. read more
I was staying in a more tourisy area but decided to take an uber to this spot. A little deceiving from the outside, but inside is quaint with a covered outdoor eating area that we enjoyed. It was not crowded on a Wed 11am in Feb. Service was super fast! Hubby ran to bathroom after ordering & food was on table when he returned. I was torn between pancakes & french toast & server said french toast. So glad I did. It was very good. Soft on inside with good flavor. Hubby got pancakes. They were good, super absorbent of the syrup. I give the French toast the edge if you are torn. Chicken pesto omelette was super flavorful! No salt, pepper or hot sauce needed. This place is busy and packed for a reason!! Sweet e's has delicious breakfast food that's affordable as well. The staff here is super attentive and welcoming, we never had to ask for anything, they were already on it. The host's energy is super contagious, he's super funny and kind. We got the hawaiian omelette and American omelette. It comes with toast and your choice of side. Both were amazing and were super fulfilling! Ok listen up. If you are ever in Honolulu, please make this a must stop. The food here is amazing. I barely sat down and had a sip of my coffee, and the food came out. (10/5 if I could!) Sweet E's Cafe is an absolute gem! The staff here are some of the nicest, most genuine people you'll ever meet! They are friendly, quick, and so efficient. The food came out fast every single time, and everything on the menu is incredible. My family and I were visiting Oahu for a week, and we ended up coming here every single day. We ordered something different each time, and every dish was amazing. You can truly taste the love and care in their food. If I could give Sweet E's 10 out of 5 stars, I absolutely would. Never went here because parking is a challenge. But it is so worth it! From the moment you enter, you are immediately greeted by the staff. Very attentive and they work seamlessly as a team. Then the food! The poached eggs were perfect on the delicious veggie Benedict! So perfectly poached with the yolk creamy! Yum! Also had the Denver Omelette! Delicious with lots of flavor! The herb roasted potatoes were super yum! To-go container brought without requesting. And offered to give a coffee to-go. So nice! Lots of seating inside and out. Great staff! Fab Food! Sweet E's is typically really busy so I haven't had a chance to try this spot yet. Today was a buddys bday so just randomly asked him to breakfast because the rest of the day was packed with work meetings. Luckily, on a weekday I was able to find parking and walk straight in to open tables. When I was walking in, the smell of coffee and sweets really got my appetite really going. There are a lot of tables and it was still quite busy for a workday. When I sat down, I started to notice it was all male servers, not judging, just a mention. The services was quick so thats a plus for me. I looked around to see what the crowd is eating and the food looks really good. Because it was busy, there are a lot of chatter inside, not bad enough to bother me caz the tables were pretty spacious. I decided on the French toast filled with blueberry cream cheese as the side and got the fried rice traditional egg Benedict. Their food is bomb, no wonder why this place is always busy. Sweet E's cafe is a breakfast/brunch in Oahu open from 7am-2pm everyday. The place is known for their diverse menu and friendly staff. You truly get an island diner experience here! There's a small parking lot in front of the location and plenty of indoor seating. The staff is playful and made good recommendations. The ambiance can be described as casual and conducive for big families. The portions of the food are good for sharing and are reasonably priced for the area. I'd recommend this place to a group looking for a casual dine-in experience when craving breakfast food! read more

Super solid brunch spot. The food was fresh and flavorful especially the French toast with berries and the crispy hash browns. The fresh-squeezed orange juice is a must, easily one of the best parts. Great local breakfast spot. Food is super good. I usually get the corned beef eggs Benedict or the Spanish and tomato eggs Benedict and both are super yummy! Service is very friendly and quick. All the servers work together and take care of each other, great team work! It's a small restaurant with a cute local decor, feels like a hole in the wall kind of place. Prices are super reasonable! $40 for 2 people is almost unheard of in this economy! They are super busy and don't take reservations, walk-in only. Just know that you will have to wait and be patient but they are quick! read more

Walked inside and was greeted by a super friendly employee After letting the employee know how many were in our party we waited for less than five minutes. Seated very quickly and was surprised when they had toys set up for our kids. Very friendly and kid oriented place to eat. They make you feel like you're family. Got together with a good friend to eat here for the first time while visiting home and this place was so good!! I can now see and understand why there's always a line DAILY for this restaurant. Definitely get there as early as your can, the line seems to move fast but just be prepared to wait for a bit. The staff were energetic, friendly, and hilarious; you could tell they enjoy what they do and were super nice to everyone who came through. We were seated and addressed in a timely manner by multiple waiters. The food options made it hard to choose since everything looked so good. I ultimately went with the kalua pork eggs Benedict with fried rice and the flavors and portion size were perfect. My friend enjoyed some blueberry stuffed French toast with bacon and she loved it. The service and portions are exceptional! There's an easily accessible parking lot and extensive street parking right next to a playground. The decor inside features endearing family photos and gives an embracing feeling--just like eating at home. Not pictured is the corned beef eggs Benedict, which is exquisite. Not sure, never noticed any other dogs while we were there.

When we went it was 8:30 and there was no wait. Once we were done there was a long wait out the door and people waited outside. They were taking names as people showed up and just called them when they were next

Yes they do for lunch. You can order a salad or grilled veggies. Maybe for breakfast you can ask them to do a stir fry with the veggies

Unfortunately we will be closed on thanksgiving
What happened to the extreme mess? Did they change cooks or something. The serving size used to cover the entire plate, it's about a third smaller now.

Is there parking?
Yes, there is a small parking lot. We did park in it on a weekday. On the weekend they had valet there, but we were able to find parking on the street a few blocks away, no problem.
Do they take Reservations for Mother's Day Breakfast?
I don't know. May want to call them because them since they are always busy.
Are there mimosas?
as Mele mentioned, "No". They do not serve any alcohol at all. But please do visit this place. The food is Amazing!
