Sweet Republic has MANY great flavors - fun, classic, funky - all that I've tried are really full of the flavor it represents which is GREAT! No fake-tasting flavorings here! Not to mention the texture is SO creamy! They also let you try many flavors - which is impossible NOT to do because there are way too many great sounding options! :) This trip I got: 1. Creme Brulee - in ice cream form, just as good as the real thing! YUM 2. Dill Pickle - THIS is a MUST try if you like pickles, it was surprisingly really good! 3. Black Pepper Cherry - I LOVED this so much, the pepper is very subtle and hits at the end of each bite, it was a tasty unexpected combo! 4. Blue Moon - I get this EVERYTIME because its so special! Stunning array of unusual flavors, like black licorice. Palate pleasing flavors like salted caramel. I was craving a malt and didn't really expect anyone to be able to make one, let alone on a holiday, but Sweet Republic delivered and delivered with a smile. So now that I've been here longer, I am a Sweet Republic apologetic. Looking back at my previous review I have seen the error of my ways. Honestly, Sweet Republic and Churn are two great quality ice cream shop, and I really choose the shop that has the most interesting flavors that month. Either way, I know Sweet Republic flavors will be right on the money with whatever the flavor is supposed to be. Rose water, def tastes like rose. Lavender, definitely all lavender. I will say at this point I do find myself going to sweet republic a little more often as they have a greater number of rotating flavors. But Churn does have consistently better cookies that are much softer. But if there's a flavor that sounds good. Get go get it. You won't be disappointed. read more

Super unique and delicious flavors of ice cream! The service is just ok and the line is always super long. Also, it is pretty pricey, almost $6 for a very small single scoop. Sweet Republic has the best ice cream! We have always loved their salted caramel ice cream or their Toffee Banofi Sundae(Alton Brown recommends it and you'll see why). This visit we got single scoops of 2 flavors. The first was the Banana Toffee Pudding which tasted so nice and with actual banana flavor! The next scoop was Brownie Swirl. This is a great all in one flavor and tastes so much like a brownie. It's very creamy and even one scoop will fill you up. We also got a hat and pints to go since we won't be back in town for awhile. Love coming back here and both this location and the original on Shea are great and have such a nice and patient staff. Safe protocols right now with Covid-19. I loved sweet republic! Their ice creams are super unique. Even though some of them I didn't particularly liked, I know others might enjoy. The service was standard and the prices were good! For two scoops (I got the strawberry buttermilk and Meyer lemon) it was about $7. There is seating inside and a little table outside if you want to sit to enjoy your sweet treat. They have a variety of interesting flavours, different sizes depending on how hungry you are. Everything I've had here has been very tasty. Rejected by the Churn parking lot on a Friday night, to Sweet Republic we went! It's only not my first choice because they sell the ice cream in grocery stores, making it feel less special. I sought flavors I don't normally see in the grocery store freezer - tasting kinako chocolate chip and brownie fudge swirl. I ended up ordering a scoop of the brownie swirl. Really just the tasting spoonful was so tiny I couldn't get a feel for the kinako. But nothing really beats a quality vanilla ice cream plus I got a couple good brownie chunks in there, so it's all good!
