$18.99 brisket
David P.

I had a disappointing experience with the food overall. The sliced brisket was extremely fatty, with large pieces of fat throughout that were difficult to cut around, and it lacked the rich barbecue flavor I expected. Instead, it tasted more like plain roast beef than properly smoked brisket. The baked potato was also underwhelming, as it came with cheese sauce rather than real cheese, which gave it an unusual taste. That said, the service was excellent. Both the waiter and hostess were friendly, attentive, and provided a great customer experience. Unfortunately, while the staff was outstanding, the quality of the food did not meet expectations.

First and foremost, five stars goes to Miss Carissa at the drive-through. Her customer service was outstanding and without a doubt the best service that I've experienced at a drive-thru. I hadn't been here since they switched from Bono's. I ordered the fried Mahi. It was solid, but next time I have to come back and try their ribs!

While recently moving to the area from Texas, I know finding good BBQ might be a challenge. This location was recommended and we give them a try this week. The service was quick and friendly. We started with some hush puppies and the sauce that came with them was great. We had a meat bowl with mashed potatoes and lean brisket with a couple sides. Both were OK. Here's the tough part and I know this might be fine for here. The brisket was dry. I am use to it being juicy and super tender. This brisket just wasn't like that. Everything else was great and I would go back try the chicken. Enjoy!

Pulled pork barbecue with sweet potato.

Finally tried this place today, and found it rather good. I had the pulled pork sandwich (hog sized, which to me was normal size) and it had a very good smokey flavor which i totally enjoyed, had baked sweet potato as a side. My friend had the Alabama brisket sandwich and he enjoyed that also. The waitress was attentive and very nice. This place has a small bar and was typical feeling barbecue restaurant. I do recommend you give it a try.

Very good lunch! We ordered the pork quesadillas. Excellent! Pulled pork sandwich was very good too . Mac cheese was very good We'll Definitely be back to try other items I noticed how clean the whole place was.The service was great! 10/10 for cleanliness and flavor.

First time trying this place and it wasn't too bad. Good amount of searing, nice place, and has a salad bar. My party had a few issues with cold food-things that shouldn't have been like the Monday meatloaf and the soup and chili (had to ask them to microwave/heat up). We also had a bit of an issue with time, it took nearly an hour to get our food. We noticed a table that was seated at the same time as us ordered, ate, and left before we even got our food. Prices are about average for bbq. I got the pulled pork dinner and enjoyed it, very tender and food flavor but as bbq does tend to do, kept tasting it for the rest of the day lol. I'd say this place is worth a try, may just be hit or miss.

Sweet Southern Smoke is my local go-to for BBQ, and it never disappoints! The famous taters are my absolute favorite, especially with that incredible BBQ sauce--always a hit. This time, I ordered the Pick Two Combo with brisket and ribs, and both were mouth-wateringly delicious. The cinnamon butter on the toast is another highlight; it never fails to add that perfect touch of sweetness to the meal. If you're in the area and craving some top-notch BBQ, Sweet Southern Smoke is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend! And next time I'll check out their salad bar I saw quite a few people going up there to order from it.

I'm glad we finally took the time to try Sweet Smoke! Our waitress was very sweet and personable! The .99¢ wing special was great! We had many helpings of different flavors. Our favorite was the hickory red sweet followed by the honey garlic! I also tried the pulled pork sandwich, it was a bit dry, but there were 3 of their bbq sauces available on the table that made the sandwich very enjoyable! I upgraded my side to the corn nuggets.... YUM. Perfect crispiness and soft and just yummy! Their drinks also did not disappoint. Our group is not big drinkers but they kept the blue lemonades coming, they were so good. I also had a Paloma and I would definitely get that again!

Holy smokes that was amazing! A great way to start off the new year by finding my new favorite bbq…read morespot! When I say I have been searching for good brisket in south Florida for 5 years I truly mean it. This is the holy grail of all places for brisket. It had SO MUCH flavor, had the right amount of fat to give it that extra flavor SO JUICY and texture that brisket (should always have let's be real) the way it was smoked it didn't taste too much like smoke The smoke rings on the brisket are BEAUTIFUL I was in heaven when I opened up my box and saw what was inside the bbq they have there the sweet one! Is amazing also can't forget that The Mac and cheese was also really good, nice and cheesy and had a great flavor! The collard greens were also amazing! Personally I like a bit more vinegar on mine (but that's just personal) they had I think peppers in them it gave them that unique flavor it was so good! He had us try the potato salad and the seasoning on that was beyond me! Hands down some of the best potato salad I've ever tried I am excited to go back and see if they offer corn and other sides so I can try them out! Seriously I forgot the owners name but he went above and beyond and him and his staff had beyond exceptional customer service and were very personable. I really appreciate the hours of operation here, I am always craving bbq but most places are only open on the weekend/ I have trouble finding good brisket I'm not a huge fan of pork (but will try it!) The have a nice seating area and it's very aesthetic. All in all I will absolutely be returning to this place and telling everybody I know about it! Well done!! 10/10

We usually go to Park Avenue BBQ on Mondays since they offer a $20.95 baby back rib special…read more (normal price $32). Ribs come with two sides which are excellent. The ribs while not the best I've ever had are still pretty good. Combine their excellent service with the great price and Park Avenue is a must stop at least twice during our usual month in Florida.

I unfortunately didn't get a photo but there is no way they smoke their brisket- I was told they only "chop" their brisket by the server I was unable to get it sliced -they said they smoke it for 12 hours over night) it is possibly the most dry and disappointing brisket I have ever had in my life :( All three times I have visited I have been so disappointed with the meat- the ribs were actually quite nice but I get a very sick stomach eating pork so I was only able to take 1 bite of the rib On the other hand this place has the best collard greens I have ever tried- they have a more tangy taste which I love The amount of onions they put in them though- is insane and they could at least be chopped up more it's terrible having to pick 2 whole onions worth of slices out of your collard greens despite picking out entire onions from it- the collards are very good! By far possibly my favorite -even though this is a large Chain The Mac and cheese was very sad, it was dry and just not cheesy I would not recommend which is unfortunate bc Mac is a staple for bbq!! The baked beans were also very good! I would order those and the collards again! Honestly I don't think I'd recommend my friends or family to go here just because of how dry the meat was and it was that dry every time I ordered- I also don't trust the fact they smoke it- I'd love to see the process- no visible smoke rings and extremely dry- for a bbq place to have dry meat. Is just not good and I don't see myself returning unless I have a nick for the collard greens

I'm taking this review from the top. I come from Las Vegas where hospitality is everything. The…read moreway you make people feel is that easy and that hard. My first impression was terrible. The bartender Bowin was great but the owner that was talking down to him was absolutely appalling. First thing I heard across the bar before taking my drink order "I heard you're wanting to serve here and it's not gonna happen" which shocked me because where I come from if you have a correction to make with an employee take it up in the office, not in the public eye. I'm visiting and wanted a nice happy hour experience but let me say I'm never happy seeing workers mistreated like that. I was polite enough to wait until the end of my meal to speak with the owner, Ron, and he was very dismissive. He said the following "it's not that deep, you don't know the full story, etc." which absolutely true I don't know the full story but I don't need to. Actions speak louder than words. The way he treated him I would never support someone like that and first impressions are everything so shame on him. I stayed because I wanted to give Bowin a good tip and ensure I take this up with the owner before leaving instead of leaving a review. Here we are, I'm leaving a review because hospitality is very important in 2 sectors: 1) the way you feel; 2) the experience. I give a singular star for Bowin's great service as well as Celine's but Ron, the owner, doesn't deserve anyone's money for the way he treats his employees. I've never left a review like this but there's a first for everything. I do not recommend this establishment but if you do go please sit at the bar with Bowin or Celine because they deserve a good tip to take home. I support them but not this establishment or Ron. The way you treat your employees is the way they will treat your customers. I will also not be dismissed by someone like this. At first I wasn't going to say anything because I'm on vacation but I will not stand for this nor support this.

Our food I would say since it's farm to table was good but my food was drenched in beef tallow and my fries got soggy, would definitely try the pasta or another meal next time. The crispy tuna appetizer was delicious still think about it from time to time. Overall service and food was good but can improve.
